You'll be raising awareness, & improving understanding of sight loss through delivering RNIB’s Awareness to Action sessions in your local community. Through these engaging sessions, you'll inspire participants to make small changes to their behaviour that make a massive difference in the day-to-day lives of people with sight loss. As a Community Change Champion, this will involve:

• Talking directly with community leaders, businesses, & local groups about ways they can get involved & inviting them to join an Awareness to Action session.
• Delivering RNIB’s Awareness to Action sessions either in person or online, using our resources. You may do this on your own or with a team of other local volunteers, both sighted and with sight loss.
• Sharing RNIB’s information & initiatives so people know we’re here for them.
• If you have a personal link to sight loss, sharing your experience during the session to help give a tangible example of how local people can make a real difference.
• Telling us about any activities you have engaged in via a Microsoft form.

• Trips - organise trips to places such as the park or museum.

• Events - mark specific days or holidays to get people together and celebrate.

About Care4Calais 

Care4Calais is a volunteer-led charity delivering essential aid and support to people seeking asylum living in the UK and Northern France. We provide direct aid and advocate for a fair asylum system, including safe routes to claim asylum.

The UK Direct Aid team delivers essential support through practical services; such as running distributions, delivering English classes and casework-style support through drop-ins. The UK Direct Aid team also provides services to promote wellbeing such as trips and sports activities.

Job Description:

The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children. We aim to actively encourage women to be self-reliant, through empowering them to identify their own needs, make their own choices and create their own solutions.
We offer short term home visits, counselling sessions, baby bank, practical & emotional One to One support, Domestic violence groups, Awareness raising workshops and drop in or chat groups to help women facing crises or challenging situations.

Purpose
To manage and grow our social media presence through creative content, audience engagement, and analysing audience engagement to help amplify WFRC’s mission.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Help create, implement, and maintain a social media strategy and content plan
• Use social media platforms to promote the activities, impact, and achievements of WFRC
• Keep social media channels regularly updated with engaging and relevant content
• Encourage audience interaction by increasing comments, shares, and engagement across platforms
• Ensure communications reach a wide range of local stakeholders and diverse audiences
• Develop and manage content for our website and social media platforms, including Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
• Identify and select the most effective channels to engage our diverse audiences
• Stay up to date with WFRC events, projects, and news, identifying key opportunities for promotion across social media channels
• Develop publicity materials and communication approaches to better engage underrepresented communities
• Visit projects and attend events to gather content and write articles or stories for our blog and online platforms
• Manage the organisation, filing, and archiving of photographs, videos, and other digital media content

Qualifications:

• Experience managing social media accounts for a charity, organisation, business, personal project, or student initiative is preferred.
• Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, and YouTube.
• Experience using content creation and design tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Creative thinking skills with the ability to develop new ideas, campaigns, and promotional content.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, and community members.
• Interest or experience in community work, charities, or social impact initiatives is desirable.

Role Description

This role sits within our Men’s Minds project, based in Hounslow. The aim of the service is to improve men’s mental health outcomes by developing a mental health network supported and directed by the voices of its members.

This will be achieved through three service strands: 1) Peer support network, 2) Psychoeducation workshops, addressing common needs of men’s mental health 3) Outreach support to raise awareness of men’s mental health and promote this service.

The role of the Outreach Volunteer will be to support the Project Coordinator with engagement activities with the local community, increase awareness of our activities with local groups and to encourage new participants to attend. We would expect you physically attend community events to promote our groups and encourage new participants to join.

Time commitment and expenses

Art Explora is a non-profit arts organisation that aims to share arts and culture with everyone - locally, nationally and internationally - and inspire new encounters between arts and audiences.

Arts at Home supports older people to access arts and culture by encouraging conversation and connection through art. We are looking for volunteers to participate in our "Arts at Home" sessions in residential care homes. In these sessions, you will introduce works of art of your choice and facilitate conversations around the artworks with residents. No prior professional experience is needed; we will provide you with the necessary training.

You will need to be able to travel to Birmingham locations independently (pre agreed local travel expenses paid).
