Bring your financial expertise to a global mission training college as it expands its reach to train and equip Christian workers in every corner of the world.

All Nations Christian College trains and equips Christians for cross-cultural mission, welcoming students from all over the world. The College is entering an exciting new chapter, moving from a single UK campus to a global delivery model of digital learning, hybrid courses and partnerships with churches and colleges around the world, so it can reach many more students, in many more places, than ever before.

This is a genuinely pivotal moment to join as Treasurer. You'll help the Board build the financial model for a distributed, international college, working closely with the CEO and Head of Finance at the exact point when decisions about resourcing, risk and investment will define the College's next decade of global mission impact.

As Treasurer, you will:

• Help fund and resource an ambitious global expansion of the College's mission training
• Advise the Board on financial strategy as it builds a new international operating model
• Oversee financial systems, controls and risk management
• Liaise with auditors and ensure legal and regulatory compliance
• Chair the Finance & Resources Committee, meeting quarterly online

We're seeking a prayerful, financially astute leader with strong judgement and a heart for global mission. 

The Board meets three times a year in a hybrid format, with the hope of gathering trustees in person once a year.

Summary of Role:

As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will lead Solution Community’s mission by building, improving, and developing the technical systems that power our global, volunteer‑driven organization. This role contributes directly to leading the creation of accessible, reliable, and scalable tools that enable volunteers to collaborate, deliver services, and support communities worldwide.

Engineers work across both front‑end and back‑end components, participate in technical planning, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver meaningful, user‑centered solutions. This position is ideal for someone who wants to apply their senior engineering expertise toward social impact while growing within a supportive, mission‑aligned team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Applications: Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Firebase for backend and React/Next.js for frontend.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure alignment across the project lifecycle.

• API Development and Integration: Create and integrate RESTful APIs to connect frontend interfaces to backend services, ensuring smooth, efficient data exchange.

• Code Review and Optimization: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, enforce best practices, and optimize performance across the application stack.

• Testing and Debugging: Implement automated tests and perform manual testing to identify and fix bugs, ensuring high-quality, reliable software.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, continuously enhancing your skills and contributing to process improvements within the development team.

• Deployment and Monitoring: Assist with deploying applications to production environments, monitoring their performance, and resolving any post-deployment issues.

• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for new features, codebase, and development processes to support future maintenance and scalability.

Position Requirements

• Proficiency in Firebase: 5-7 years of strong experience in developing backend applications using Firebase (BaaS) Framework, with a solid understanding of Functions, Auth, Storage, Security Rules and Hosting services.

• Expertise in: React and Next.js, in-depth knowledge of React and Next.js for building dynamic and responsive frontend interfaces, with a focus on server-side rendering and static site generation.

• Full Stack Development: Proven ability to work across the entire stack, from designing and implementing backend services to creating interactive and user-friendly frontend applications.

• Version Control and Collaboration: Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab for version control, with a collaborative approach to working in a team environment.

• Database Management: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience in designing efficient database schemas, writing complex queries, and optimizing database performance.

• UI/UX Principles: Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to translate design mockups into functional and aesthetically pleasing web interfaces.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and deliver iterative improvements.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Events Volunteer - Lancashire (various)

Do you want to raise some money for Shelter, while having fun along the way?

Information about the role

This role involves supporting at a range of events to help raise money and awareness to tackle the housing emergency. It’s a really flexible opportunity. Once you’re signed up, we’ll let you know about upcoming events and tasks, and you can decide which you’d like to do. 

Location: Lancashire (various)

Suggested contribution: It’s up to you! Ideally, you’d help out at least 4-5 times per year, but this is flexible. 

Availability: This is a varied opportunity with events taking place at different times and on different days throughout the year, including evenings and weekends. You can choose the events that best suit your availability.

This is a flexible and diverse role. Here are some of the activities you might get involved in:

• Represent us at a range of events including, community fairs, gigs, Pride marches, sporting events and street stalls.

• Support some of our fundraising activity such as holding collection cans in public spaces or bag packing in supermarkets.

• Help us grow our movement for change by supporting petitions and raising awareness of our calls to action through social media.

• Other one-off tasks such as web-based research.

This role fights the housing emergency by raising funds that enable Shelter to provide advice and support and campaigning for change. The events you’ll be attending are also great for raising awareness of the housing emergency and how people can get involved to help tackle it.

Information about the role

You’ll be supporting our Housing Rights Workers to help people who are currently experiencing the housing emergency. This is a varied role, with tasks including gathering information from clients, keeping clients updated on their cases, completing research, data entry and other admin tasks. 

Location: Holy Trinity Church, Richmond Park, Liverpool, Merseyside

Suggested contribution: One day per week (can be flexible around your commitments).

Availability: Volunteering will take place at a time that suits you, within Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm

Main activities may include:

• Speaking with new clients about their circumstances to identify how we can help.

• Communicating with existing clients to gather information, provide updates and support them with practical tasks like form filling.

Martlets, Chestnut Tree House and St Barnabas House have collection tins hosted by a wide variety of businesses across Worthing, Sussex, Brighton and Hove and surrounding areas. Our tins continue to play an important role in raising money and awareness for the hospices so that we can continue to provide specialist care.

These tins need to be collected, replaced, and returned to our fundraising offices or shops on a regular basis. With collections expected to be completed on a 6-8 week cycle.

We are looking for friendly, reliable people to help us with this important fundraising and community liaison role.

You will be the face of the Fundraising team in your locality, representing the hospices when collecting. This is a chance to involve yourself with the community by building a relationship with our collection tin hosts and keeping them up to date with any news from us.

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.
