Creative Arts & Drama Group Volunteer

We are looking for friendly, creative Volunteers to support our weekly arts and drama groups for adults. Sessions run throughout the week and provide a relaxed, inclusive space for people to explore creativity, build confidence and support their mental wellbeing.

These are informal, participant-led groups, and our participants include adults who are:

• Autistic
• Non-verbal or have limited verbal communication
• Blind or visually impaired
• Wheelchair users or people with mobility difficulties
• Adults with learning disabilities or learning difficulties
• Individuals with a wide range of confidence levels and communication styles

What you’ll be doing

• Helping set up and pack away session spaces and resources
• Preparing refreshments (tea and coffee)
• Welcoming and supporting participants
• Encouraging engagement in creative activities (art or drama)
• Supporting a safe, inclusive and relaxed group environment
• Being present alongside participants during sessions

Are you a big football fan who enjoys playing football as well as watching it?

We are looking for volunteer football enthusiasts to both play football and enjoy talking all things football with someone with learning disabilities and or autism.  As a volunteer you will need to be able to volunteer for a couple of hours each week.

What does the role involve?

Our football volunteers will enjoy spending time having a kick about, perhaps watching a game on TV and perhaps having a post-match discussion. Trips to watch the odd live game would also be an enjoyable experience for the people we support.

How can you help? 

As an Events Team Support Volunteer, you will play an important behind-thescenes role in helping our fundraising events run smoothly. You'll help create a positive experience for our supporters from the moment they sign up through to celebrating their achievements after event day. You may be asked to support with a range of activities, including but not limited to:

• Supporter communications: Making phone calls to wish participants good luck before their event, congratulate them afterwards and thank them for their incredible fundraising efforts, as well as preparing and posting good luck cards and other supporter mailings.
• Participant materials: Preparing fundraising packs, participant welcome materials and certificates, ensuring participants receive everything they need.
• Event preparation: Packing event day materials and organising and assembling cheer packs, including banners, pom-poms, signs and other supporter resources.
• Data and administration: Assisting with data entry, updating supporter records, envelope stuffing, labelling and other general administrative tasks.
• Event and team support: Assisting with event logistics in the lead-up to busy fundraising events and helping to ensure the Events Team workspace is tidy, organised and well-stocked.
• Ad hoc support: Supporting wider Events Team projects and administrative tasks, particularly during busy periods, to help keep things running smoothly.

Location and time commitment

This is an office-based volunteering role. We’re therefore looking for someone who is happy to volunteer at our Fleet, Hampshire office initially, before continuing at our new Woking office from early 2027 onwards.

During our busier spring and autumn seasons, we’re looking for a commitment of approximately two hours per week, ideally on a Wednesday. During the quieter summer and winter seasons, this would reduce to approximately two hours every two weeks. We understand that volunteers have other commitments, so we can offer some flexibility and can tailor your experience around your availability. 

Practical considerations You will receive a full induction to The Brain Tumour Charity and any specific training for the role, as well as ongoing direction from one of the Events team, who will be your key contact. We carry out reference checks for all individuals who will be volunteering with us on a regular basis. Volunteers may be required to complete some internal data protection and disclosure documentation before commencing the role. Volunteers must be over 18. We have a range of creative projects and tasks and our creative team have more work than people. We are particularly interested in speaking to people with video editing skills. As well as people who are interested in campaigns or being part of the activity pack team.

We are looking for people to help lead some our teams across the organisation. We are volunteer led and manage 65+ volunteers across the country, most of them remoately. There are 10 different teams ranging from creative to business development. We are looking for up to 10 people to help with the coordination of feedback, delegation of tasks and assisting with running monthly meetings. We have a very diverse team of volunteers from all different culture, religons and disabilities.

Mind In Enfield and Barnet combines over 50 years of experience to improve peoples mental health in Enfield, Barnet and beyond. We are led by lived experience and driven by a passion to support and protect people’s mental health in ways that they want.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer Meet and Greet to support the Therapy Team at Mind in Enfield and Barnet (MiEB). This role involves sitting at the reception desk and acting as a first point of contact, helping to create a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment for clients, visitors and staff. You will offer clear directional guidance, practical assistance and information about services and activities, helping people feel safe, comfortable and supported when they arrive. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with others and contributing to a positive, inclusive space for individuals accessing mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help create a friendly and inclusive environment by greeting clients and visitors in a warm and professional manner

• Cover the reception desk and act as a first point of contact for enquiries

• Provide clear directional guidance and escort individuals to their destination where appropriate

• Ensure clients, visitors and staff sign in and out accurately

• Maintain accurate logs of calls and emails in line with service procedures

Job Description

Kent Sexual Assault & Abuse Service is dedicated to providing safe spaces where survivors of all forms of sexual violence across Kent and Medway, can access the high-quality, trauma-informed, specialist practical and therapeutic support that they need to recover from the impact of sexual violence and rebuild their lives. Having won and mobilised the Police & Crime Commissioner Kent Wide Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)and Trauma Therapy contracts in April 2026, we are keen to extend our trustee board to ensure high quality, robust governance for our charity and support for the KSAAS team during this time of expansion.  We are seeking a Chair of Trustees to take over the leadership of the board when our current chair steps down in October.

KSAAS Chair of Trustees Responsibilities:

Leading the trustee board in providing robust, transparent and courageous governance for the charity, including ensuring the charity is fulfilling its mission, aims and values, setting the culture, strategic direction and strategic plan for the charity, approving the annual operations (business) plan, budget and safeguarding & risk management plans & monitoring these to ensure delivery, ensuring compliance to the ethical, legal, financial and safeguarding responsibilities of charities and trustees and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and ensuring the charity holds itself accountable to its stakeholders and partners

Providing effective oversight of the Trustee Board through appropriate recruitment, screening, induction, training and support of trustees, ensuring trustee awareness and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, ensure that the trustee board annually reviews its structure, effectiveness, delegations and key policies, and implements agreed changes as necessary.

Ensuring effective strategic and operational leadership of the charity by working with the Board to approve a scheme of delegation and appraisal of the CEO, supporting, positively challenging and holding the CEO to account through line management processes, liaising with the CEO to arrange meetings and chairing Board meetings to ensure these are well run and focussed on delivering the charity's work, provision of appropriate training, support and wellbeing opportunities for staff & volunteers.

Act as a representative and spokesperson for the charity in collaboration with the management team and other trustees.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential: Leadership & management experience and experience of working in a charity or having a trustee or a similar role is essential.  Experience of one or more of the following is also essential: charity or business management, charity law or criminal law, ISVA work, counselling or therapy, data protection and management, equity and inclusion, financial management, fundraising or commissioning, governance, human resources, information technology, health and safety, marketing and communications, monitoring and evaluation, research and evaluation, strategic planning, sexual violence or VAWG work.

Commitment

The time commitment of a KSAAS trustee is estimated at 12 hours per month, comprising:

• Supervision and support for the Chief Executive Officer
• Six 2 hour board meetings per year (normally online in the evening, but some in person in Canterbury with prior arrangement)
• Annual general meeting (AGM) preparation & Attendance
• Time to read and reflect on reports and papers for meetings
• Attending an annual trustee away day and occasional training sessions
• Attending subcommittees when required

Women’s Service Intern 

Assist Baytrees Women’s Service team with administrative tasks, event coordination, and direct engagement with service users and volunteers. You will help coordinate and assist in delivering workshops and activities that empower women and girls, while contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in the charity sector and community education settings, allowing you to develop practical skills in administration, communication, and programme delivery, and gain insight into women’s services and community-focused work.

Main responsibilities:

- Provide admin support, including data entry and record-keeping.

- Help plan and deliver events and workshops.

- Communicate with service users and volunteers.

- Prepare materials and resources for activities.

- Assist with feedback collection and basic monitoring tasks.

- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment.

- Follow Baytree’s policies and procedures.

- Complete volunteer questionnaires and evaluations as needed.

- Work directly with clients across Baytree services (e.g. youth clubs, workshops, reception, and befriending activities).

You will be vital to the work of your local Scope shop, as one of the first faces customers see.

You will receive training on serving our customers on the till, taking payments and making Gift Aid donations. This makes a real difference to our income and the number of disabled people we can support.

Your role may include:

• helping to display stock and window dressing
• preparing goods for sale
• tidying and cleaning the shop

When and where

You will be based at our Scope shop at 90 Warwick Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32 4QG. We are flexible on the times you would like to volunteer. We’d love your help for as little as 1 hour a week, but if you can give more time that would help us even more.

• Complete an enhanced DBS check.
• Provide two satisfactory references.
• Complete some online training
• Follow SeeAbility's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety requirements.

Volunteers play a vital role in helping us deliver meaningful opportunities and experiences for the people we support.

Support the Communications and Fundraising Leads in delivering a centre-wide communications and marketing plan. You'll contribute to digital content, explore fundraising opportunities, maintain supporter records, and help share Baytree’s story across platforms.

Main responsibilities:

Communications

- Assist with internal and external comms campaigns.

- Maintain a photo and case study database.

- Support social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).

- Draft blog posts and press releases. - Keep website content and digital presence up to date.

Fundraising

- Help manage Baytree’s supporter database.

- Support event planning and donor communications.

- Assist in research for new fundraising and sponsorship opportunities. + Work directly with clients across Baytree services (e.g. youth clubs, workshops, reception, and befriending activities).

Skills and qualities required:

- Personable, enthusiastic, and confident communicating with diverse groups.

- Excellent written, verbal, and editing skills.

- Computer literate, with social media experience.

- Organised, reliable, and self-motivated.

- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Interest in communications or fundraising in the charity sector. Desirable: - Knowledge of design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

- Experience with databases.

- Additional languages (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic).

Commitment:

- 2 days per week.

- Hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

- Duration: 4–6 months, with flexibility to extend.
