Are you a qualified Yoga Instructor who would enjoy facilitating weekly sessions to help individuals with their general well-being. This is an opportunity for you to share techniques with others.

Practicing yoga and mindfulness aim to quiet the mind in order to cultivate a deeper connection to and understanding of oneself. They both help with breathing techniques, pay attention to bodily sensations and learn to accept reality as it is in that moment.

What you will be doing

• Design session plans enabling all group members to increase fitness, suppleness and help them relax
• Teach the group yoga postures and breathing techniques which allow a range of mixed ages and abilities to participate
• Inspire and motivate people to attend and get involved in the group activities where possible and encourage the group to help design future sessions
• Keep a record of attendees, provide feedback and report any concerns to the staff team

The award-winning Chain Reaction is looking for a dynamic Treasurer to join our inspiring team of Volunteer Trustees. Our skilled and diverse Board guides our strategy, ensures financial and legal compliance and promotes our vital work with young people. They are a lively and positive board who bring energy and commitment to an upbeat youth-focused arts organisation.

As Treasurer, you’ll oversee financial management, ensuring robust controls and policies are in place. The day-to-day finances are handled by our office team using QuickBooks. The company’s financial structures and systems are well established and we have a long history of efficient financial management. The role involves five meetings a year (3-4 in Bromley-by-Bow, 1-2 online).

Target Housing is a resilient, responsive, purpose-driven organisation working at the heart of our communities. As a regional charity, registered provider, and registered care provider, we provide safety, support and hope to some of the most vulnerable people in society, including entrenched rough sleepers, survivors of domestic abuse, people with multiple and complex needs, women who have had children removed into care, and individuals living with mental ill health or learning disabilities.

Following significant growth over the past 5 years, we now own 160 homes and manage a further 800 across the region, with services shaped around human connection, trauma-informed care, and long-term recovery.

We’re looking for a qualified accountant with capacity to give back, to step into the role of Treasurer of our Board.

About the Role

As Treasurer, you will:

• Provide strategic oversight of our finances, helping us stay sustainable while delivering maximum social impact.
• Support the board in understanding our financial position, risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with our Finance Director and CEO to review budgets and ensure compliance.
• Attend bi-monthly board meetings (in-person in Rotherham), and occasional sub-group discussions as needed.

This is a voluntary position with expenses reimbursed, and a chance to be part of a passionate, mission-driven leadership team making a real difference every day.

About You

We’re looking for someone pragmatic, with sound judgement and a good heart. You will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Bring strong financial literacy, but be just as comfortable with conversations about people, purpose and impact.
• Understand the nuances of working in a charity, housing, or regulated care environment, or be keen to learn.
• Be values-driven, collaborative, and believe in second chances and lasting change.

Are you a fluent Romanian speaker with a passion for helping others? We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist women in improving their English language skills. Improving someone’s understanding and spoken English language, will allow individuals to communicate and connect with people in their local community, widen their network of friendships and relationships, and provide people opportunity to improve their employability skills. We are looking for a face-to-face volunteer for a minimum of 1 hour per week who is available between hours 11am – 2.30pm Monday-Friday!

What you will be doing

• To support individuals who are not confident with spoken English to develop their reading, writing and conversational skills through one-to-one sessions.
• Agree a mutual agreeable time and frequency that works for both parties
• Engage in conversation, allowing the person to feel supported and comfortable to practice speaking English Preparing and delivering sessions independently including setting work and assessing
• To keep records of conversations and update the support worker on progress of sessions.
• Support with preparing for the “Live in the UK Citizenship Test”

We’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to spend time with residents in one of our learning disability services.
