Yet funding for fundraising, organisational development and core infrastructure is often the hardest support to secure.

Afrocats is entering an exciting period of growth and is seeking an experienced fundraising professional who wants to use their skills to make a meaningful difference. We are looking for someone who can help us strengthen our core-funding pipeline by identifying new opportunities, reviewing and improving applications, and increasing the number and quality of bids submitted.

Working alongside the CEO and team, you will help build the foundations that enable us to reach more people, deepen our impact and secure long-term resilience.

The role would suit an experienced fundraiser, retired fundraising professional, charity consultant, grants specialist, corporate fundraiser or development professional who is looking to give back, share their expertise and support a growing organisation at a pivotal stage in its journey. Role Summary.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Podcast Producer to support the planning and delivery of local podcasts. You will be responsible for planning and booking studio recording sessions, managing post production editing, and working closely with the host and other team members to make this the no #1 podcast for North American Muslim university students.

Key tasks

• Brainstorming, contacting and liaising with guests to appear on the podcast
• Booking and preparing the recording studio for filming sessions
• Recording the podcast in the studio alongside the guest and host
• Cooperating with the host to plan the structure and topics covered in each episode
• Coordinating research and brainstorming sessions to identify potential guests and topics
• Collaborating with data analyst and design team to test and produce attention-grabbing thumbnails and titles
• Uploading the podcast to our video and audio platforms

RCN Foundation
Trustees (Finance & Investment Expertise)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Board of Trustees of the RCN Foundation, an independent charity that supports and strengthens nursing and midwifery to improve the health and wellbeing of the nation.

Since 2010, the Foundation has provided hardship, education, research and innovation funding to thousands of nurses, midwives, nursing associates and healthcare support workers across the UK. As the Foundation continues to deliver its ambitious strategy, we are seeking to appoint two Trustees with senior-level expertise in finance, accounting and/or investment governance to join the Board from April 2027. One of the successful candidates will also serve as Chair of the Income Generation and Investment Committee.

As Chair of the Income Generation and Investment Committee, you will provide leadership and oversight across the Foundation’s investment portfolio, fundraising activity and wider income generation strategy. Trustee - Finance & Investment

You will provide support and constructive challenge on matters including financial sustainability, investment performance, reserves and longer-term planning, contributing to the work of both the Board and the Income Generation and Investment Committee.

Commitment

Trustees are expected to attend all board meetings which are scheduled to accommodate trustee’s availability. Most meetings are done via video conferencing, and on occasion we meet in person at a suitable location. What does the role involve?

The Dementia Wellbeing Service provides practical and emotional support ​to help older people live independently and safely at home for as long as possible, stay socially engaged and carry on doing what they love. The service supports Camden residents over the age of 55 in the early or moderate stages of dementia.

You will work one-to-one with people in their own home and in the community, providing invaluable practical and emotional support and engaging the person in activities and opportunities that interest them through their wellbeing plan.

What happens next?

After you apply, the manager will ask you to come in for an initial chat. This is not an interview, just a chance to get an idea of what you'd like to do help out. From there, you can meet the rest of the volunteer team and get involved with whatever area of the shop takes your interest!
