ABOUT THIS ROLE
As we grow, we need an experienced Operations Manager to help us run well behind the scenes — so everything on the frontline can keep delivering. This is a meaningful voluntary leadership role for someone with professional experience in operations, HR, or management who wants their skills to count for something real.
You will work closely with the CEO and senior team to ensure the organisation runs efficiently, compliantly, and in line with our values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Oversight

Axial Spondyloarthritis International Federation (ASIF) is looking for a passionate and experienced, voluntary, legal/governance Trustee to join our Board and help shape the future of our international membership charity supporting people living with axSpA worldwide.

As Treasurer, you'll be the guardian of our wonderful theatre's finances. It'll be your job to keep the committee updated on the theatre's financial affairs. You'll have a full understanding of the Bookkeeper's role, and oversee their work - or, if you wish, you may volunteer for that role too (details available on request). As Treasurer, you'll prepare an annual budget for the theatre, then manage and track progress, producing quarterly reports on actual income and expenditure vs budget. You'll then produce annual accounts for presentation to the independent examiner, and the wider membership at the AGM. The role requires around 25 hours per month of your time, plus an additional commitment at year end. You'll join the board of trustees, which entails a DBS check, and you'll attend monthly committee meetings, in which you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the general running of the theatre.
Training
Over the course of several months, you'll receive a comprehensive handover from the existing Treasurer. At first, you'll shadow them to gain a full understanding of what's required, then they'll shadow you, offering as much support as you need until you're ready to take the reins.
Skills
You'll have a love of numbers (and spreadsheets!), a forensic attention to detail, and great organisational skills. You'll be good at presenting data to people who aren't as mathsy as you, and keen to join a team of friendly, passionate volunteers. This role will be a great fit for a trainee accountant looking for experience, a retiree with bookkeeping or accounting skills, or a self-proclaimed maths geek with time to spare, and a desire to be part of a wonderful community of people.

Policy Development & Implementation
Collaborate with the Manager: Hr Admin to design, update, and implement HR policies that reflect QuilomboUK’s values, culture, and legal obligations.
Communicate policies clearly to employees and managers, ensuring accessibility and understanding across all levels.
Monitor policy effectiveness and propose adjustments to align with evolving organisational and social justice goals.
D&I Integration
Apply a D&I lens to all ER processes, ensuring marginalised voices are heard and outcomes address systemic inequities.
Advocate for inclusive practices in performance management, such as culturally sensitive feedback frameworks.
Support initiatives that advance QuilomboUK’s external social justice partnerships and internal equity goals.
Qualifications
Experience: 1 - 2+ years in HR or employee relations, with hands-on experience managing disciplinary, grievance, and performance cases. Exposure to mission-driven or D&I-focused organisations is preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practices.
Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy, discretion, and cultural competence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy drafting and stakeholder guidance.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and case management tools.
Knowledge: Understanding D&I frameworks, restorative justice principles, and trauma-informed HR practices.

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C is a pioneering Podcast/Youtube Channel and healing membership organisation. We provide a platform for survivors and whistleblowers to share their lived experiences, highlight systemic frustrations and offer solutions rooted in culturally trauma-informed care.
Our membership offers young people and survivors a path to heal, learn digital skills and interactively participate in our Alchemic 369 Book Club, where members engage in weekly interactive discussions, debates and critical analysis of African, Caribbean and world history, Ifa, classics and political thought. Members will sharpen their reading, reasoning and imagination skills, with opportunities to discuss works directly with authors, highly subsidised plant-based transformative retreats and join a community designed to empower and educate.

To design safe, non-triggering outreach content that invites ready survivors to engage period!
About the role:
These persons creates all messaging used for outreach campaigns, including:
● Social media posts
● Survivor invitation language
● Podcast guest call-outs
● Anonymous submission forms
● Awareness campaigns
They ensure all messaging is:
● Trauma-informed
● Consent-led
● Safe for public consumption
Ideal Candidate
● Strong ethical communicator
● Experience in sensitive campaigns (domestic violence, mental health, safeguarding)
● Skilled in storytelling
● Understands psychological impact of language
Experience
● Content strategy or copywriting for NGOs or advocacy groups
● Experience in trauma-informed communication
● Background in journalism ethics or public health messaging preferred
● Familiarity with CSA awareness organisations
