RANGER CADETS — DEPUTY CHIEF RANGER (VOLUNTEER ROLE)
Stand beside the Chief Ranger. Build the organisation. Shape the future.
Ranger Cadets is a new, independent, inclusive youth organisation with a bold mission: prepare young people aged 11–21 for life through service, community, skills and positive leadership.
We’re launching something fresh. Something modern. Something meaningful. A uniformed youth organisation built on values, not hierarchy. On community, not competition. On leadership, not labels.
To make this vision real, the Chief Ranger needs a partner — a second‑in‑command with heart, drive, clarity and purpose.
If you’re someone who thrives in start‑up energy… If you love building systems, teams and culture… If you want to help shape a youth organisation from day one… This role is for you.
THE VOLUNTEER ROLE: Be the Chief Ranger’s Right Hand — and a Leader in Your Own Right
As Deputy Chief Ranger, you will help lead the entire organisation. You will be part strategist, part organiser, part motivator, part culture‑builder.
You will:
Support the Chief Ranger in leading the organisation day‑to‑day
Help build our first units, volunteers and youth leadership pathways
Shape the culture, values and identity of Ranger Cadets
Oversee early programme delivery and ensure quality across units
Support community partnerships and public engagement
Help design systems that make the organisation safe, inclusive and effective
Be a visible leader at events, activities and community projects
Mentor volunteers and youth leaders as the organisation grows
This is a leadership role with real influence. You won’t just support the Chief Ranger — you’ll help build the organisation alongside them.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Someone who:
Has natural leadership energy
Loves organising people, plans and priorities
Can stay calm, clear and positive under pressure
Believes youth organisations should be modern, inclusive and community‑focused
Enjoys teamwork and collaboration
Wants to help build something meaningful from the ground up
Can inspire volunteers and young people alike
Is excited by the idea of shaping a brand‑new uniformed youth organisation
You don’t need formal leadership qualifications. You don’t need youth work experience. You just need passion, commitment, and a desire to make a difference.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Because Ranger Cadets is at the beginning of its journey — and the early leaders will define everything:
The culture
The programme
The partnerships
The volunteer experience
The cadet experience
The future
Your leadership will help create a youth organisation that:
Builds confidence
Develops skills
Connects young people to their community
Teaches leadership through action
Gives young people a place to belong and grow
You will help build something that lasts.
WHAT YOU’LL BE PART OF
Ranger Cadets is:
Independent
Inclusive
Community‑driven
Volunteer‑powered
Committed to giving young people real opportunities to grow
We partner with local organisations, support community events, and help young people contribute positively to their community.
You won’t just be joining a youth organisation. You’ll be helping build a movement.
READY TO HELP LEAD SOMETHING NEW?
If you’re excited by the idea of standing beside the Chief Ranger, shaping the organisation, inspiring volunteers and empowering young people — we’d love to hear from you.
We give young people aged 11–21 the structure, practical skills & opportunities to serve their communities, grow in confidence & become role models.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
