RANGER CADETS — DEPUTY CHIEF RANGER (VOLUNTEER ROLE)
Stand beside the Chief Ranger. Build the organisation. Shape the future.
Ranger Cadets is a new, independent, inclusive youth organisation with a bold mission: prepare young people aged 11–21 for life through service, community, skills and positive leadership.
We’re launching something fresh. Something modern. Something meaningful. A uniformed youth organisation built on values, not hierarchy. On community, not competition. On leadership, not labels.
To make this vision real, the Chief Ranger needs a partner — a second‑in‑command with heart, drive, clarity and purpose.
If you’re someone who thrives in start‑up energy… If you love building systems, teams and culture… If you want to help shape a youth organisation from day one… This role is for you.
THE VOLUNTEER ROLE: Be the Chief Ranger’s Right Hand — and a Leader in Your Own Right
As Deputy Chief Ranger, you will help lead the entire organisation. You will be part strategist, part organiser, part motivator, part culture‑builder.
You will:
-
Support the Chief Ranger in leading the organisation day‑to‑day
-
Help build our first units, volunteers and youth leadership pathways
-
Shape the culture, values and identity of Ranger Cadets
-
Oversee early programme delivery and ensure quality across units
-
Support community partnerships and public engagement
-
Help design systems that make the organisation safe, inclusive and effective
-
Be a visible leader at events, activities and community projects
-
Mentor volunteers and youth leaders as the organisation grows
This is a leadership role with real influence. You won’t just support the Chief Ranger — you’ll help build the organisation alongside them.

-
Wants to help build something meaningful from the ground up
-

-
Is excited by the idea of shaping a brand‑new uniformed youth organisation
You don’t need formal leadership qualifications. You don’t need youth work experience. You just need passion, commitment, and a desire to make a difference.
