Volunteer Role: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Strategy Design

We are Bees Abroad, working to enable communities to empower themselves through sustainable beekeeping. Together with local beekeeper trainers and organisations we educate, guide, and mentor communities in local best practices in Beekeeping, business creation, and protecting the environment. 

We are a majority volunteer organisation, with projects led entirely by volunteers working in partnership with our in-country training teams, while still in close collaboration with the core team and Board of Trustees. Whilst we are a small charity, we drive a lot of impact and have great ambition. 

We are looking for a volunteer to help us strengthen how we measure and evaluate our impact so that we can drive better and wider impact still. This individual will be reporting to our CEO and a member of the Board of Trustees. 

The goal of the project is to deliver a revised Measurement and Evaluation Strategy and put in place the foundations for a more efficient and consistent MEL process. We expect a commitment of 4 hours per week, with room for more, should the individual wish to do so. 
 
The role will involve: 

• Gathering information from our project teams to understand current monitoring and data/information collection practices across the various countries and projects. 

• Working with the CEO, a member of the Board of Trustees, and select country leads to design a monitoring and evaluation strategy that provides consistency across projects while allowing flexibility for context-specific approaches.

• This strategy document will also become publicly available to corporate and grant donors. 

• Designing and piloting simple, effective monitoring and evaluation processes and tools that can be used both where technology is available and in low-tech settings.

• Supporting any trainings of local teams in the new tools and processes 

• Exploring opportunities to use automation and digital tools, including AI, to streamline reporting where possible. 

• Bi-weekly meetings with CEO and Trustee

 You will ideally have... 

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) in community development or similar fields. This includes: 

• Designing and implementing frameworks to measure project outcomes and impact. 

• Collecting, analysing, and reporting data from community-based projects. 

• Developing indicators and tools to track progress and learning. 

• Facilitating feedback loops to inform decision-making and improve project delivery. 

• Ability to design practical, user-friendly MEL processes and tools that can be adapted and implemented in a variety of settings

• Comfortable working with both digital and offline MEL methods. 

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with our international project team, with an ability to adapt language and communication approaches to different personalities and local area contexts

Your Key responsibilities will include:

Our small charity delivers awareness campaigns and a range of support services to patients, relatives, partners and carers who have been affected by a debilitating chronic condition; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). We are urgently looking for 2 experienced email marketing volunteers to join our communications team.

You will be a big link to our charity's clients who are vulnerable and isolated, to them learning more about events, our latest articles, fundraising events as well as ensuring they are aware of the services that we offer that be of help to them. You will also be helping us to raise awareness of this devastating chronic condition.

Even though we are a small organisation we have big ideas and having regular contact through emails and newsletters will show consistency and know they can rely on us to be there for them.

We would like the volunteer to help with:

• Email content: Develop our communication & marketing content calendar, write compelling regular email content, including calls for donations & support, that is relevant and has clear a call-to-action and high click through rates;
• Email content (membership): Create a regular email newsletter for our membership scheme
• Create a number of automated email series - for donors, members, fundraisers and more
• Newsletter strategy: Help us plan and articulate how we can use emails and newsletters to strengthen our organisation, motivate our supporters and communicate with our sponsors;
• Design and implement campaigns and promotional activity

Every day, disabled people who rely on highly trained assistance dogs face unnecessary barriers. From being refused entry to shops and restaurants, to navigating confusing legal protections. These challenges persist despite the vital role assistance dogs play in giving people greater independence, confidence, and opportunity.  Outdated legislation and a lack of clarity around rights and responsibilities mean progress is slow. Change is urgently needed.

That’s where you come in. We are working in partnership with Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK), the umbrella body of 14 accredited assistance dog charities in the UK, to secure expert voices to help shape the future of access and protection for assistance dog partnerships. By joining, you will contribute to a vision of a society where disabled people face no barriers, where legislation is clear and enforceable, and where high standards safeguard both people and dogs.

What we’re looking for
You will bring credibility, relevant skills and knowledge, and a commitment to integrity, openness, and collaboration. You will be confident in influencing, communicating clearly, and making an active contribution. The ability to draw on your networks to support the panel’s work is also valuable.

The Eve Appeal is the leading gynaecological cancer charity. There are five gynae cancers, which are womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal cancer. Our aim is to prevent gynae cancers from developing in the first place, but if they do develop, we want to make sure they’re detected early so more people survive their diagnosis.

To make our goals a reality, we fund research in four key areas: uncovering the causes of gynae cancers, predicting a person’s risk of developing them, identifying how people can reduce their risk, and improving their detection and diagnosis.

We educate; we increase awareness and we provide free confidential and expert information through our Ask Eve nurse service.

We are now looking to strengthen our Board and are seeking candidates who share our commitment to driving forward medical research, raising awareness and promoting education around how these diseases can be diagnosed at the earliest stage or prevented.

You will help lead the Board’s responsibilities across all areas of governance including strategy development and staff mentoring, evaluation and impact, ensuring donor and beneficiary aspirations, commitments and needs are met and the charity is fulfilling all of its charitable objects and agreed strategic objectives.

You will work within the legal and regulatory framework set out by the Charity Commission and will be supported by the CEO and senior staff team at Eve to enable you to do this effectively. The Delphi Clinic
The Delphi Clinic delivers clinically rigorous, accessible fertility education that integrates reproductive science with lifestyle, energy, and whole-body health. Many individuals and couples reach fertility treatment feeling unprepared, disempowered, and confused about how their bodies work. Fertility education is often reactive and fragmented, frequently framed around expensive interventions like IVF or egg freezing rather than prevention, protection, or informed choice.

This disproportionately affects professional individuals who may delay childbearing due to career pressures while lacking access to clear, evidence-based guidance on how to protect and optimize fertility earlier in life. This gap contributes to heightened anxiety, inequity in access to knowledge, and an over-reliance on medical solutions without adequate upstream education. While the World Health Organization has highlighted infertility as a global public health issue, practical fertility education remains largely absent from most workplace wellbeing programs.
