About the Volunteer Wellbeing Standard

The Volunteer Wellbeing Standard is a structured framework designed to help organisations place volunteer wellbeing at the heart of their volunteering programmes.

The Standard supports charities, community groups, social enterprises and other volunteer-involving organisations to review, develop and improve the way they support the wellbeing of their volunteers. Through guidance, assessment and recognition, the Standard aims to promote positive volunteering experiences and encourage good practice across the sector.

The Role

  • Gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve the programme.
  • Promote the Standard through social media, networking and partnership activities.

  • Help build a growing community of organisations committed to volunteer wellbeing.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Is passionate about volunteering and wellbeing.
  • Can build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Has good attention to detail and can manage information accurately.
  • Is confident working independently and using their initiative.
  • Has experience in volunteering, volunteer management, community development, wellbeing or quality improvement (desirable but not essential).
  • Shares our belief that volunteers deserve to be supported, valued and able to thrive.

What You'll Gain

  • Experience supporting a sector-wide quality programme.
  • Practical experience in programme coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • The opportunity to influence how organisations support volunteer wellbeing.
  • Professional development and networking opportunities.
  • Flexible volunteering around your existing commitments.
  • References and recognition for your contribution.
