Our vans play a vital role in collecting and transporting donated tools from the public, which are refurbished and sent overseas to support livelihoods and transform communities.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled CiviCRM Specialist / Developer to optimise and manage our CiviCRM platform. You will customise systems, resolve technical issues, and enhance workflows, ensuring our data, reporting, and processes run smoothly.

This is a key role that will directly influence how we engage with members, volunteers, and stakeholders. While initially a volunteer position, there is strong potential for this to become a paid role as the organisation grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Customise and configure CiviCRM (modules, forms, workflows, reports)

Prospective volunteers will be expected to undertake the full training package for Community First Aider, enabling them to support event healthcare delivery in the community. This role carries a minimum commitment of 80 hours per year. Saving Strays is looking for a dynamic fundraising co-ordinator with experience in grass roots and event fundraising to help take our team of dedicated fundraising volunteers to the next level! The role will include initiating and implementing regional team leaders to run local fundraising events and recruit local people to support offline and online fundraising activities. You will liaise with our Head of Fundraising and help to inspire and grow the current team. Think Tank experience, great communication skills and a love of dogs is a must. Although the role is remote there will be opportunites at the charity's main fundraising concerts and events to work alongside the team members in person. We are a fun loving dedicated group of like minded people and we would love to welcome you to the team. 

Are you a TikTok wizard? Great at creating content from carousel posts to stories? Well our dogs need you to help build our exposure on Tik Tok, identify trends and ride the algorithims. The role will involve content creation every other day supporting our current Tik Tok volunteer who you will work closely with? We would love to welcome you to the team.

Al Naasih is a 1‑to‑1 mentoring programme established by Hidayah in March 2020. It seeks to support queer Muslims struggling to reconcile their faith and identity. Mentors are trained in relevant skills (emotional intelligence, active listening, managing relationships, etc.) and paired with mentees to help them achieve personal goals. Within this role you will:

· Provide empathetic, non-judgemental support for mentees working through challenges related to faith, identity and wellbeing

· Help mentees set and achieve personal goals

· Act as a positive role model and safe space

· Assist mentees in exploring reconciling their faith with their LGBTQ+ identity, supporting spiritual, emotional, and practical wellbeing

Please this role is UK based and online/virtual.

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:

· Build a trusting and respectful relationship with mentee

· Be in regular contact: at least once per month, according to what works best)

· Help mentees identify goals, hurdles, and strategies to work towards those goals

· Listen actively and empathetically; offer guidance rather than prescribing solutions

· Maintain confidentiality, boundaries, and ethical conduct

· Attend required training sessions (1‑on‑1) to develop mentoring skills (emotional intelligence, active listening, relationship management, etc.)

· Prior experience of mentoring, coaching, or peer‑support work

This role will report to the Al Naasih Programme Coordinator or designated lead.

 

How much commitment is required?

This is a voluntary role with flexible hours subject to the agreement between you and your mentee. However, the following are vital to the success of this role:

· Minimum once per month meetings (virtual) with mentee

· Time needed to prepare, reflect, and possibly attend training or support / supervision meetings

· Duration per mentee: to be mutually agreed, depending on goals and needs

· Up to three mentees once comfortable with the role

We are looking for a content creator to advance our reach and engagement on X was Twitter. The charity operates under a social media policy that will be shared with the successful candidate and all content will be required to fall within those ethical guidelines. The role will include content creation based around the activity of the charity and brainstorming ideas for new content and ways to extend reach of all posts. Come and join a friendly fun team creating content for our other platforms and help rescue and rehome dogs in need.

Chatterbox Befrienders offer one-to-one telephone support and will call a client once a week offering companionship and a listening ear for an individual who might otherwise go unheard. Chatterbox volunteers befriend a variety of people including carers, socially isolated individuals who are struggling with loneliness, people with ill health and those that 
have been bereaved.

- Calling your client once a week for a chat of up to 45 minutes; this is a 26 week initial commitment, at the end of which each client’s needs are reviewed

- Completing an online call log record promptly after each phone call

- Ensuring immediate contact with the Chatterbox Coordinators if you feel that the client might be a risk to themselves or others

- Liaising with the Chatterbox Coordinator on a regular basis regarding the service, as well as discussing personal learning and development needs

- Respecting service standards, appropriate boundaries and recognising the range of policies and procedures that impact on befriending vulnerable adults

WMS is looking for a treasurer trustee and director (volunteer role)

WMS is a small, award-winning charity with a bold vision! Our mission is to help people navigate through conflict towards peace. We’ve been running for over 20 years on a social enterprise model. Commercial mediators gift their time and expertise in commercial and workplace mediations, and their fees help to fund our office costs. Community mediations and conflict coaching are also delivered by volunteers.  We provide skills training in our local community, in schools across London and organisations nationwide.  We have a committed Trustee board and a part-time CEO who co-ordinates a team of skilled, experienced freelancers doing case-work, communications, projects and training.

In 2025, we directly supported just under 1,000 people. We processed 286 conflict resolution cases, achieving a 93% resolution rate, and trained over 400 adults and young people in conflict resolution skills.

Over the next three years we want to grow sustainably while maintaining our impact. We are looking for a volunteer with budgeting and forecasting expertise to join the trustee Board because our Treasurer is resigning shortly due to other commitments. 

We need a “hands on” trustee who can act as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and the Board, guiding growth, funding, and major financial decisions.  Currently there are: 

• 4 in person 2 hour evening board meetings per annum, in Clapham Junction

• 4 Zoom meetings per annum for 90 minutes over lunch time

• Annual strategy morning, usually on a Saturday in November

As we don’t have a CFO, the Treasurer also has a short monthly meeting in person or on Zoom with the CEO to discuss financial targets, budgets and forecasts. They support the CEO with the submission of statutory annual accounts and are available for ad hoc advice on financial queries which may arise.

We’d like to hear from people who are motivated by our mission to build peace in a polarized world. We need expertise and experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting and a willingness to support and challenge the CEO and the Board.
