Internship Opportunities

City of Lights Church in Bushey is part of the Elim Pentecostal Movement, serving our local community and helping people grow in faith.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our internship programme and support a variety of areas across our ministry.

Applicants must fully support the church’s Christian mission, actively uphold its values and be committed to serving within its faith-based community.

1. Media Intern

Do you have skills or an interest in filming, photography, video editing or social media? As a Media Intern, you will help capture and share the life of the church through engaging digital content. You may support the filming of services and events, edit videos and photographs, prepare content for social media and help organise media files. This voluntary role is ideal for someone who is creative, dependable, willing to learn and comfortable working as part of a team.

2. Worship Musician Intern

Do you play keyboard, guitar or bass and have a heart for worship? As a Worship Musician Intern, you will play one or more of these instruments as part of the worship team during rehearsals, Sunday services and special events. You will learn and practise set lists, follow the worship leader’s direction, develop your timing and ability to play with a band, and help prepare and look after instruments and related equipment. This voluntary role is ideal for someone with a good level of ability on keys, guitar or bass who is dependable, teachable, committed to regular practice and comfortable serving as part of a team.

3. Marketing and Admin Intern

Are you organised, creative and confident communicating with others? As a Marketing and Admin Intern, you will help promote the church’s services, events and activities while supporting the smooth running of day-to-day administration. You may conduct follow-up calls, prepare notices, promotional materials, update contact lists and records, respond to enquiries, assist with emails and documents, and help coordinate events and office tasks. This voluntary role is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, pays close attention to detail, manages time well, uses common digital tools confidently and is willing to learn as part of a team.

Internship details: Further details about the expected time commitment, internship length, working pattern, start date and any available training or expenses will be discussed with suitable applicants.

Location and attendance: These are in-person roles based at City of Lights Church in Bushey. Attendance at Sunday services in Bushey is compulsory, alongside attendance at relevant rehearsals, events or agreed office hours.
