Clothing Bank Volunteer

Role Purpose

The Clothing Bank Volunteer plays an important role in supporting individuals and families experiencing financial hardship by helping to provide access to good-quality clothing and essential items. Volunteers assist with the day-to-day running of the clothing bank, ensuring donations are sorted, organised, and distributed in a welcoming, respectful, and dignified manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and organise donated clothing, shoes, and accessories.
• Check donated items are clean, safe, and suitable for distribution.
• Help maintain a tidy, safe, and welcoming clothing bank environment.
• Assist service users in finding suitable clothing and essential items.
• Replenish displays and stock as required.
• Support the collection and preparation of clothing packs for individuals and families.
• Record donations and stock levels where required.
• Promote dignity, respect, and confidentiality for all service users.
• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and partner organisations.
• Follow Hope Community Project's policies and procedures, including health and safety, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
