At RSPCA Buckinghamshire South Branch, we are looking for a highly efficient administrator to help our busy team with essential admin tasks. By donating your time and skills, you’ll play a key role in helping us run smoothly and effectively, ensuring we can continue making a difference to the lives of animals.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Assisting with general administration duties as required such as:

  • Designing and placing adverts for volunteer roles, updating online resources, processing applications and arranging induction and training 

  • Researching potential suppliers, requesting and comparing information such as prices and the types of services offered

  • Helping to arrange local events including researching potential venues, coordinating a team to attend, arranging publicity and set up, preparing event materials such as leaflets and posters, arranging printing etc, updating and sharing documentation such as risk assessments

  • Assisting the animal team with admin such as updating animal records, checking and maintaining stock records of microchips, vaccines etc

  • Liaising with local partners and other organisations such as vets, local businesses, other charities, or other parts of the RSPCA on a variety of issues

  • Contacting local businesses to discuss opportunities to work together and support our work

  • Answering enquiries from volunteers or suppliers, mostly by email

  • Keeping internal information sources up to date, such as spreadsheets with volunteer details, details of quotes from suppliers etc 

  • Ensuring all data is handled confidentially in line with data protection regulations

What We’re Looking For:

  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Professional, and an excellent standard of written English as most correspondence will be by email.

  • Good IT and administrative skills, including experience with email communication.

  • An understanding of data protection and confidentiality principles.

  • You will need to have your own laptop or computer.

  • A commitment of at least 8 hours per week - this can be one full day or carried out over several days - for a minimum four month period.

  • An informal interview and trial period.

  • Completion of relevant training and assessments for the role.
