Nurture the Spirit of Opportunity!!!
At Unlock YOUR Potential, we believe that an "accident of birth" shouldn’t dictate a person’s destination. We are a new London-based charity dedicated to breaking the cycle of deprivation through holistic employability, wellbeing, and mentoring programmes.
We have the vision; now we need the safety net of support.
The Mission
We are looking for a compassionate and strategic Volunteer Head of Wellbeing. You won’t just be "offering advice"—you will be the architect of our holistic support system. You will design the frameworks that help our participants manage the stress, anxiety, and trauma often associated with long-term deprivation, ensuring they have the mental resilience to pursue their dreams.
What You’ll Do:
-
Wellbeing Architect: Design and oversee a wellbeing curriculum that includes mental health awareness, stress management, and self-care strategies.
-
Resilience Lead: Create "safe spaces" and support groups (virtual or in-person) that foster a sense of community and belonging.
-
Holistic Integration: Collaborate with the Head of Life Skills and Head of Employability to ensure our participants' mental health is prioritized at every stage of their career journey.
-
Strategic Leadership: Advise the board on best practices for trauma-informed support and participant safeguarding.
What’s in it for you?
-
Deep Human Impact: Directly contribute to the mental and emotional healing of adults in London’s most underserved communities.
-
Foundational Leadership: Build a modern, inclusive wellbeing function from the ground up for a growing charity.
-
Flexibility: A high-impact, remote-friendly leadership role that respects your professional boundaries.
The Essentials:
-
Experience in Mental Health, Counseling, Psychology, Wellbeing Coaching, or Social Work.
-
A deep, empathetic understanding of how poverty and systemic inequality impact mental health.
-
The ability to design accessible, non-clinical wellbeing interventions for diverse audiences.
-
A few hours a week to help us protect the potential of our community.
