ZAKKI is a social startup focusing on creating an inclusive community for the elderly and people with disabilities. Our mission is to facilitate alms and donations collection and distribution to help the elderly and people with disabilities who work in the informal sector to get better livelihood through micro-business management, giving them greater market exposure.

We are still redesigning ZAKKI fully function product. We are expecting to develop the ZAKKI fully function product in the upcoming years.

The AGILE PROJECT MANAGER will manage either the UIUX Designer team or Developer team. He/She will collaborate with the Team Lead of the respective team to manage and lead the project.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, and project team members.

About The Role

We believe that the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them, so we bring awe-inspiring nature up close. At Martin Mere Wetland Centre, visitors can explore unique wetland habitats and the amazing array of birds, mammals and amphibians that inhabit them. Our volunteers help to welcome and inspire visitors and get to experience looking after our unique habitats and heritage.

It is a great feeling showing a visitor a bird they’ve not seen before or helping them to tell the difference between 2 species they’ve been struggling on for ages.  That spark of enthusiasm can make such a difference!

We are currently looking for volunteers that can help us out as a Guide in the Hide on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays.

About You

We are looking for passionate volunteers that love birding and love sharing that enthusiasm with others!

The role will include:

• Being welcoming in the discovery hide and bird Observatory helping point out to the visitors what wildlife they can see
• Surveying the marsh harriers and avocets during the breeding season
• Walking around the other hides birding and talking to visitors.
• Updating the sightings board and letting the information desk team know about any exciting sightings.
• Keeping the hides clean by litter picking and sweeping

Could you help to raise vital funds for SSAFA in your local area? You don’t need a military background, just the ability to get on with all kinds of people and some occasional free time.

What is a Branch Fundraiser?

As part of a local team, our fundraisers represent SSAFA at events, and in public. The role includes helping at fayres, street collections, concerts, quizzes, raffles, sporting events etc.

Why do we need you?

SSAFA branches rely on regular charitable income to fund all the necessities behind our support for clients. This includes volunteer travel expenses, phone bills, publicity and grants for clients in urgent need. A varied programme of fundraising also keeps the SSAFA profile high in the local community, so everyone knows who we are and how we can help.

When would you be needed and where would you be based?

This role involves being out and about at public events and would suit someone looking to give the occasional day, half day or evening to support SSAFA; when and where would be flexible to suit you.

What would you be doing?

Examples of tasks would include:

• Being part of a team with collection/buckets tins at events, supermarkets, shopping centres, etc.
• Acting as a marshal at a public event e.g. handing out water to runners, supervising parking etc.
• Being part of a team running a stall at an event, Armed Forces Day, fayre, county show etc.
• Helping with putting up posters, building gazebos, serving refreshments, packing/unpacking cars etc.
• Being a positive ambassador for SSAFA, engaging people of all backgrounds and interests
• Volunteering within the standards and values of SSAFA including observing our policies such as the Volunteering policy and data protection policy (these will be covered in your training and local induction.)

The remit of this role may change over the next 12-18 months depending on the outcome of a trial currently being undertaken.

HEALTH AND SAFETY LEAD/VOLUNTEER – Role description

 1. Background:

Established in 2012, Mid Cheshire Foodbank (MCFB) is part of the Trussell Trust’s UK network of over 1400 Foodbanks, which provide food to people in crisis in their local areas.

2. Our Purpose:

MCFB exists to provide relief to individuals and families in crisis in Mid Cheshire and surrounding areas, through the provision of a sustainable food bank and associated activities.

3.  Role summary:

 To lead on health and safety practice and compliance for Mid Cheshire Foodbank (MCFB).

4. Responsible to:

 MCFB Warehouse Manager.

5. Responsibilities:

List of duties:

1. Regularly review activities and practice within the Warehouse/FDCs to ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Policy. Inform the Warehouse Manager of any issues requiring attention

2. Ensure volunteers regularly receive Health and Safety updates.

3. Identify specific information/training needs for volunteers

4. Undertake annual Risk Assessments in all premises being used by the foodbank, liaising as appropriate with representatives of buildings used

Hundreds of women and parents call our Advice Line every day, but with a small team of volunteers we are only able to answer a fraction of those calls—this is where you come in.

We are looking for brilliant HR professionals who want to help Pregnant Then Screwed tackle the Motherhood Penalty by becoming a Volunteer HR Advisor.

Our Volunteer Advisors give around 1-2 hours a week of their time to the Advice Line. They use their HR knowledge to offer a kind, empathetic support and advice to help people to identify and challenge pregnancy and maternity discrimination in the workplace.

Essential requirements

• Minimum CIPD level 5 Diploma in People Management with one professional reference.

• Access to a mobile phone/laptop/tablet to receive calls. You will not be charged for calls and your number will not be shared.
• Access to a reliable and secure WIFI connection. Public WIFI is not suitable for this role.

Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!

What we need from you

This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example: 

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 

• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

Are you a fundraising professional looking to use your skills to make a positive impact? The Lymphoedema Support Network (LSN) is seeking a volunteer Trustee with expertise to help us raise the funds to ensure we can continue supporting the nearly 500,000 people (including children) in the UK affected by lymphoedema.

The LSN plays a crucial role in educating individuals, society and health care professionals about lymphoedema and the impact it has on every aspect of life and enabling those living with the condition and those facilitating their care to work together to ensure everyone can control and live well with lymphoedema.

Though lymphoedema isn’t widely understood or provided for in the NHS yet, we are here to support those who need us. While it’s a chronic condition, we believe that with the right care and support, lives can be greatly improved.

We are at an exciting time in our journey and would love to welcome a new trustee to help us fund the many opportunities ahead.

As a Trustee, you will help ensure our financial sustainability, and support us in making strategic decisions. You don’t need personal experience with lymphoedema—your expertise and commitment to helping others are what matters most.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated people who’d like to help raise awareness and vital funds for local projects that make a real difference.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you’ll support our fundraising activities, from community events and local partnerships to online campaigns. You’ll help inspire support for our programmes that empower people, promote wellbeing and build stronger communities.

This is a flexible, rewarding opportunity for anyone who enjoys connecting with people, being creative and helping a good cause grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the organisation and delivery of fundraising events and activities
• Helping prepare materials such as posters, donation forms and thank-you messages
• Promoting campaigns and community events online or in person
• Engaging with local businesses, schools or groups about partnerships or sponsorships
• Assisting with donation recording and simple reporting tasks
• Helping share stories that highlight how donations make a difference

Skills and Qualities We’re Looking For

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence speaking with the public and representing the charity positively

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances

· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.
