We are looking for new sessional workers to join our Young Carers team. Our sessional workers play a key role in supporting the delivery of a programme of activities designed for our young carers aged 5 to 15 and the delivery of monthly peer support groups and activities for young adult carers aged 16 to 21.

Carers’ Hub plays a vital role in Lambeth, supporting unpaid carers across the borough with 1-1 and peer support, signposting, monthly forums, training, workshops and social activities. Our young carers team works with children from the age of 5 upwards, offering support and information to young carers and their families. Adventure, friendship and support are super-important for young carers, so we split our work into four areas:

1. We organise a mixture of exciting activities throughout the year

2. We run monthly young carers groups – a space to relax and have fun

3. We provide a listening ear and relevant help to young carers and  their families

4. We run dedicated projects working with schools to support young carers with their education

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and compassionate Team Leader-Children and Young People to work 30 hours per week across South Wales, providing effective leadership, guidance and support to a team delivering services to children and young people affected by crime.

About the role

As a CYP Team Leader you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed and child-centred services. This includes supporting staff to manage complex cases, maintain high safeguarding standards, and ensuring that service delivery meets contractual requirements and organisational expectations. The role combines people management, operational leadership and partnership working, with a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to CYP staff, including regular supervision, case discussions and performance management.
• Oversee the delivery of safe, effective and trauma-informed support for children and young people affected by crime, ensuring their voices remain central to all interventions.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld at all times, including effective risk management, oversight of complex cases and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Support staff wellbeing, resilience and professional development, contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
• Monitor service quality and performance, contributing to reporting, audits and quality assurance processes as required.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, including schools, statutory services and voluntary sector organisations, to strengthen referral pathways and joined-up working.
• Contribute to service development, innovation and continuous improvement, helping to shape and respond to emerging needs across South Wales.

About You

You will be an experienced and confident leader with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people affected by crime. You will bring a compassionate, inclusive and reflective leadership style, alongside the ability to manage competing demands in a busy operational environment

You will have:

• Experience of working with children and young people in a safeguarding or support context, ideally within criminal justice, victim support or related services.
• Proven experience of supervising or managing staff, with the ability to motivate, support and develop others.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding frameworks, trauma-informed practice and child-centred approaches.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, partners and stakeholders.

Our holiday and weekend activities give parents and carers a break while providing participants with a safe, welcoming space to have fun and receive the care they need. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family day activities bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. Coordinators develop and facilitate activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisational and communication skills. 

Full and part-time positions available, and coordinators are required to work most Saturdays.  In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed. Activities are delivered across Kent, so some travel is required.

As a Sports coach & youth mentor, you'll play a vital role in that journey. Alongside your coaching partner, you'll deliver engaging sports sessions, mentoring and workshops that inspire young people, build trust and help them realise their potential. Whether you're supporting a young person one-to-one, leading a group activity or helping deliver enrichment events, you'll be creating opportunities for young people to succeed.

This is more than a coaching role. It's an opportunity to be a positive role model, build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference in the lives of young people across Hastings & Bexhill.

You do not need to know rugby to apply. The rugby side can be taught, and plenty of people in the team started with youth work or mentoring experience rather than a sports coaching background.

Day to day, you’ll work with schools, alternative provision teams and community partners to keep sessions safe, productive and well-organised. You’ll also support holiday activities, career taster days and enrichment trips, giving young people positive things to be part of outside school.

There will be some admin too, including tracking attendance, progress and outcomes. This helps the team see what is working and keep support consistent for the young people taking part.

The Role

You’ll work closely with foster carers and social work colleagues to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support and improve outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

About the role

As a Children and Young People Caseworker you will:

• Deliver excellent services to Children and Young People who have been victims of crime through the direct provision of information, practical and emotional help from the point of crime and where appropriate.
• Help Children & Young People cope and recover from the effects of crime.
• Act as a single point of contact, undertaking effective need and risk assessments.
• Coordinate the overall delivery of the cope and recovery plan and recovery journey, working closely with other service providers to meet the needs of victims.

You will need:

• Previous experience delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
• Previous experience of working with vulnerable CYP.
• To be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising work and managing competing demands.
• The ability to complete needs and risk assessments.
• To demonstrate empathy.
• Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and Safeguarding principles.

At Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation, this role will help turn the practical side of housing into something young people can learn from, build confidence in and use as a stepping stone towards independence.

As Young Person’s Worker — Housing Focus, you’ll support the smooth running of the accommodation while working directly with young people around the housing responsibilities linked to their stay. This will include move-ins, licence agreements, rent and service charge prompts, repairs, voids, occupancy records, building standards and housing-related actions. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager, colleagues, landlords, contractors and internal teams to help keep the service safe, organised and responsive.

This is still a relationship-based role at its heart. You’ll use trauma informed, psychologically informed and strengths-based approaches to help young people understand expectations, build routines, solve problems and prepare for move-on. At Single Homeless Project (SHP), you’ll also be part of a learning culture that values training, development and career growth — with opportunities to build your housing knowledge, deepen your practice and grow your confidence in young people’s services.

• You understand that housing work is people work — and can help young people build confidence with rent, repairs, licence agreements, routines and shared living expectations.
• You are organised, proactive and good at keeping practical tasks moving, from records and voids to repairs, building checks and follow-up actions.

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 750 young people a year with a wide range of issues. BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant-makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. To build on our track record, we are now looking to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward key relationships.

In this exciting new role, you will play a key part in growing and sustaining our income from trusts and foundations. Your responsibilities will include identifying funding opportunities and potential grant-makers, designing and developing compelling funding proposals, promoting these opportunities, and managing relationships with supporters throughout the entire funding cycle.

We’re looking for someone with energy, motivation, and experience to be able to make an instant and vital impact on the organisation; someone who can understand the big picture, has good attention to detail and can make things happen. The successful candidate is expected to be a fundraiser with at least two years of experience in identifying trust and foundation prospects and writing proposals, has a track record of success in securing funds and stewardship with trusts and foundations. Vitally, we want to recruit an individual who is as committed to Brent’s vision, and who will work with us to help us be there for young people in the coming years.

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 750 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. We are seeking an experienced, strategic and proactive fundraiser to join our growing team as we embark on our next phase of expansion. Building on strong foundations in trusts and foundations, BCYP is now investing in legacies and community fundraising, two income streams that will be central to our long-term sustainability and ability to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape and grow our legacies and community fundraising at a pivotal point for the charity. You will define the approach, create a strong pipeline of supporters and partners, and deliver activities that build awareness and generate sustainable income, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You will be confident developing and delivering supporter journeys, community fundraising initiatives and legacy marketing and stewardship, with strong relationship-building skills and excellent attention to detail. Above all, you will share BCYP’s commitment to ensuring young people can access specialist mental health support, and you will help us grow long-term value and impact through fundraising.

The role will lead the creation and delivery of Community Fundraising and Legacies programmes, establishing two core income streams that will drive sustainable growth. It will define strategy, build insight-led, multi-channel programmes and design supporter journeys that deepen engagement over time, from first gift to long term support and legacy giving.

Working across the organisation the postholder will embed a strong supporter focus, ensuring that fundraising is integrated into wider engagement activity. You will take ownership of income performance, budgets and continuous improvement through data, testing and learning.

Across the UK, millions of children and young people are facing complex social and emotional challenges. AllChild works within local communities and wider support systems to identify and support children and young people most at risk of poor social, emotional and academic outcomes. Through our two-year Impact Programme, we help build a joined-up network of support around each child and family, working in partnership with schools, local services and community organisations.

Our dedicated, school-based Link Workers coordinate bespoke, strengths-based support through our trusted partners, from counselling, tutoring and engagement opportunities in sport or art to access to wider community and early-help support where needed. By mobilising trusted relationships and coordinating support across the local system, we help young people flourish, building confidence, skills and a positive future.
