About the Role

Reporting to the Clinical Lead for Children & Young People / Advocacy Service Manager, the successful candidate will:

• Provide specialist wellbeing advocacy and emotional support to children and young people affected by sexual violence.

• Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, intervention, clinical decision-making, safeguarding and risk management;

Help build the operational foundations of a pioneering national nature-based mental-health service for young people.

We are looking for an experienced, highly organised Operations Lead to turn an ambitious pilot into a scalable national membership model.

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Dose of Nature is a mental-health charity improving mental health and wellbeing through structured, evidence-informed engagement with nature.

We are establishing a Young Person Memberships service for young people and young adults under 25. Through this model, trusted youth, community, education and clinical organisations will be trained and supported to deliver the Dose of Nature programme in the places and services young people already know.

The first phase is an 18-month pilot with approximately four to six member organisations. It will test, refine and validate a model that can be scaled nationally.

About the role

As Young People’s Memberships Operations Lead, you will establish and manage the operational infrastructure needed to make this new service work.

You will manage the end-to-end journey for member organisations: from initial engagement and readiness assessment, through onboarding, training and implementation, to active delivery, reporting, learning and renewal.

Working closely with the Young Person Memberships Service Lead, you will coordinate the systems, information, people and processes that enable safe, effective delivery. You will be the principal day-to-day contact for member Lead Coordinators, ensuring that actions, milestones, documentation, meetings and reporting are followed through.

You will develop practical systems and workflows; coordinate training, supervision and partner meetings; maintain delivery trackers, risk and incident logs; support governance and quality assurance; and produce clear programme reporting for senior leaders, trustees, funders and partners.

This is a hands-on service-building role for someone who enjoys creating order from complexity, building trusted partner relationships and turning plans into action.

About you

You will bring significant experience in operations, programme management, service delivery or partnership coordination. You will have experience coordinating a complex programme across multiple organisations or delivery sites, and of developing practical systems, processes and workflows.

You will be confident managing partner relationships, maintaining action plans and risk logs, gathering and reporting data, and coordinating meetings, training or workshops. You will be highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure, with the judgement to know when to resolve an issue and when to escalate it.

Experience in mental health, young people’s services, health, education, charities or community organisations would be valuable, as would experience of NHS or VCSE partnerships, quality assurance, grant-funded programmes or multi-site delivery.

YEF Detached Youth Work Area Lead

At M13 Youth Project, we believe every young person deserves trusted adults who believe in them, walk alongside them and help them discover who they are, what they have to offer and the difference they can make. For over 30 years, we've built those relationships through detached youth work - meeting young people where they choose to be, listening deeply and creating opportunities for belonging, belief and hope.

We're now looking for an experienced Detached Youth Work Area Lead to join our team and play a key role in one of the UK's most ambitious detached youth work research pilots.

M13 is leading the Greater Manchester consortium delivering the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) Detached Youth Work Pilot. The Pilot aims to build a strong evidence base for detached youth work, combining outstanding frontline practice with rigorous evaluation to shape the future of youth work nationally.

Reporting to the YEF Detached Youth Work Project Lead, you'll lead detached youth work across two/three neighbourhoods within M13's delivery of the pilot. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality detached youth work, modelling excellent relational practice, supporting less experienced colleagues through day-to-day practice, contributing to monitoring and evaluation, and building positive relationships with young people, local residents, community organisations and partner agencies.

This is first and foremost a frontline detached youth work role. You'll spend much of your week in parks, streets and neighbourhoods, building trusted relationships with young people through conversation, consistency and purposeful informal education. Alongside this, you'll help ensure high-quality implementation of the YEF Shared Practice Model within your neighbourhood patches, contribute to monitoring and reporting and work closely with the Project Lead and wider team to support the successful delivery of the pilot.

We're looking for someone who is an experienced detached youth worker, confident leading excellent practice and passionate about relational youth work. You'll be organised, reflective and proactive, with experience of taking responsibility for detached youth work within a neighbourhood, maintaining high-quality records, building effective local partnerships and supporting colleagues through encouragement, reflection and shared learning. You might be a graduate journalist, PR account executive, communications assistant, or someone with equivalent experience who is ready to take your next step in a varied and rewarding role with one of the country’s leading young people’s cancer charities.

What you will do

A year-in-the-life of our Largs-based Communications and Media Officer has two distinct parts. October to April - where it’s all about getting the word out there to support fundraising and encouraging young people to sign up for our life-changing adventures. Then it’s the summer - May to September - when the magic happens and you’re around the trips, interviewing young people and telling their stories. You can go sailing on the trips too!

You will be responsible for identifying story opportunities year-round, and writing press releases, media advisories or editorial content to pitch those stories to a range of media outlets, from local newspapers and regional broadcasters to national, charity, marine and other specialist publications, and facilitating inbound requests for interviews or other profile-raising opportunities.

You will serve as our go-to copywriter for print, online and digital marketing materials as well as writing other articles and feature content as requested. This includes responsibility for writing and overseeing the production of our annual in-house publication, Inspire.

You will also work closely with the social media team, gathering (and if you have the experience, producing) multimedia content for our digital and online platforms. There will be wider responsibilities across the communications team too.

Key responsibilities and duties

Copywriting

• All editorial and copy creation (internal and external requirements/requests).
• Organisation-wide marketing collateral process management and copy support.
• Inspire – content planning, writing and overseeing production (Sept-Apr). 
• Trust News (monthly e-newsletter) stories.
• Website – regular news stories and copy updates as required and/or requested.
• Internal copy oversight and/or proofreading, including but not limited to young person onboarding and
  fundraising communications.

Media & PR

• Identifying cross-organisation year-round storytelling and profile-raising opportunities and proactive media outreach (local/regional/specialist/marine).
• Facilitate all inbound interview and other media requests including setting up interviews and briefing
  interviewees.
• Facilitate Largs-based PR and/or experiential requests.
• Media monitoring, recording and reporting (Google Alerts).
• Onclusive PR & media platform – relationship and media list management.

Trip season (all of the above plus...)

• Interviewing young people and seasonal team (volunteers, skippers and trip leads) to gather stories and content for PR and/or social media.
• For Largs-organised trips…
  • photo management (sort, uploading and image tagging)
  • media phone management
  • Social media posts (including photos and/or short-form video) in liaison with the Senior Digital and
    Social Media Lead.
  • Wider Largs team support.

Wider comms function

• Year-round story management including case studies and website updates.
• Campaigns – ideas generation and support with delivery (with comms team)
• Sad News process management – ensuring respectful use of photos/videos.
• Largs office/marina branding – organisation and coordination as required.
• Crisis comms - part of incident response media team.
• Looking for new opportunities/platforms to raise our profile.

Will you join us?

As the Children and Young People Specialist, you will lead our work to better support young people's mental health. You will manage the Young People's mental health team to drive development and delivery of our programmes focused on young people, including our Youth Voice Network. You will work across the organisation, with local Minds and external partners to understand challenges and barriers to young people's mental health and identify opportunities for Mind to address these, e.g. through partnerships and innovation, collaborating with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to develop and mobilise solutions. You will do this through lived experience leadership, coproduction and engagement with relevant audiences. This role is located within the Equity Partnerships and Voices team within the wider Social Impact Directorate to provide strategic insight and oversight, and ensure an intersectional approach to addressing mental health inequalities.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

- Lead on the continuous development of Mind's strategic plans for supporting Young People. Ensure the plans maximise Mind's impact and innovation across the Mind federation and enable us to reach our strategic ambitions.2. Work alongside colleagues across the Equity Partnerships and Voices team to address mental health inequalities and the intersections related to Children and Young people.3. Manage the CYP team and build on the pioneering Youth Voice Network. 4. Lead on the co-ordination & co-design of flagship CYP delivery at both a local and national level, working in partnership with colleagues across national Mind to develop new programmes, services and leverage funding 5. Ensure that young people's lived experience informs & guides Mind's work at both a local and national level so that young people with lived experience are actively involved in the planning, development and delivery of Mind's strategic plans. 6. Build positive relationships with grassroots organisations who centre the needs of young people in order to amplify youth voice.8. Being an external spokesperson for CYP work at Mind 9. Programme manage key funded CYP programmes such as the Trauma Informed Support programme, regularly reviewing performance against targets and budgets (including re-forecasting), providing regular activity and financial reports for the management and governance teams and funders, detailing delivery against outcomes and targets
