This is a very exciting time to be involved with Social Prescribing. It has been identified as a key component of NHS England’s Universal Personalised Care objective contained within their Long Term Plan, as well as London’s Health Inequalities Strategy for healthy communities published by The Mayor’s Office in 2018. Both strategies recognise the influence of social, emotional, economic and cultural factors on health and well-being and the importance of community connections to improving health and wellbeing, self-care and self-management of long term conditions.
Family Action is proud to be the provider of the existing local Social Prescribing Service commissioned by City & Hackney CCG delivering since 2014, which recently won “Best Larger Project” at the inaugural Social Prescribing Awards 2019. We are now delighted to be expanding the provision through additional funding provided by City & Hackney Primary Care Networks/Neighbourhoods.

You will work as part of a Primary Care Network Multi-Disciplinary Healthcare Team, providing 1:1 personalised support to Children and young people,ndividuals, and families utilising a holistic and strength-based approach, to help identify the wider issues that impact on their health and wellbeing and work together to co-produce a wellbeing plan to address these needs. You will have excellent holistic assessment skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to build trusting relationships which support individuals feel empowered with their wellbeing.
You will forge strong links with local VCSE organisations, community and neighbourhood networks, building on what is already available, to create a menu of community groups and assets to connect individuals to as part of their wellbeing plan.
You must be a good listener and have experience of working positively with individuals facing complex, social and emotional challenges that impacts on their wellbeing. Being creative as well as having a solution focussed attitude to removing barriers to health and wellbeing is essential.
You will also have strong leadership qualities , experience of supervising staff and report writing to support strategic and organisational requirements .

We are seeking a passionate and motivated person to lead on a new participation project funded by NSPCC and led by Platfform exploring young people’s safety online. The project will run for 16 months across the whole of Wales, with the aim of gaining an insight into the views and experiences of young people who live in Wales in relation to online safety and understanding how nation-specific changes can support them and other young people to stay safer online as well as how these can join up with other nations to represent young people’s voices across the UK. The role of the Engagement Worker will be to lead on the planning and delivery of high-quality engagement and participation workshops, activities, events, and wellbeing sessions for children and young people across Wales. This role will be key to ensuring the ideas of children and young people are listened to and supported through a co-production process. This role will also involve setting up a young people’s advisory group and planning the project’s evaluation activity. The focus of the project is to amplify youth voice, taking young people on journey and helping transform their ideas into meaningful change. This work will suit someone who is motivated and energetic, passionate about young people’s strengths, co-production, innovation and has a genuine desire to bring about positive change for children and young people in Wales.
The role will involve extensive travel across Wales, so we are looking for someone who is excited about working with young people in all corners of the country and has the capacity to do so.

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 25,000 young people since 2001. We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. Work will include 1:1 support and delivery of Power2’s core programmes, including Teens and Toddlers and Power2 Progress. Your impact
Collaborating with young people and their families, referrers and physical activity providers and promoting co-production with young people, you will provide 1:1 personalised support to young carers to access a physical activity of their choice which will positively impact their physical health and emotional wellbeing. You will manage existing partnerships and provide outreach to other RBKC young people’s services to support regular referrals into our service and will also sign-post the young people to relevant services when wider issues that impact safeguarding, health and wellbeing are identified.
Your skills
You will bring your knowledge and experience of working with families and young people to complete a brief young carers assessment and collaboratively identify the physical activity of their choice to access through the small grant service. The post requires an ability to manage your own caseload and support the deputy team manager in completing the data monitoring. Multi-agency working, excellent communication, empathy, safeguarding knowledge and system recording skills are vital for this role. With a client-facing approach you will be passionate about engaging our service users in all aspects of our work including co-production.

Youth Participation Lead
£27,000 to £34,800 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)
Remote, in this role you’ll work from home but will be required to come into our Manchester office every 6 weeks and travel to facilitate residentials with young people and members of our team up to four times a year. This role will include some evening and weekend work.

The Co-op Foundation is looking for a Youth Participation Lead to join the team and lead our work with young people. The Co-op Foundation is the Co-op’s charity. We’re a grant making and campaigning organisation with a co-operative difference. We care deeply about how our funding and campaigning can shift power to young people and we trust our partners to do what matters most in their communities.
As Youth Participation Lead, you’ll work closely with a youth development agency and our team to plan and facilitate online and face-to-face sessions with groups of young people. · Manage a budget and draw in additional expertise and skills to support the young people’s learning and development, briefing and overseeing external contractors where necessary

Collaborating with visiting staff, you will ensure each young person receives the care they need, both during and after their time on the farm.
Beyond therapeutic sessions, you will create detailed progress reports and contribute to the immersive farm experience, leading walks, evening activities, and mealtime conversations. This hands-on approach will help strengthen relationships with young people, allowing them to feel supported and empowered throughout their journey with us.

Job Title: Finance Officer
Reports to: CEO
Salary: £28,000 to £34,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time 40 hrs a week, 9am – 5.30pm
Bridge for Young People provides a home and support to young people (aged 16-25) who are leaving care or who are homeless. We have three houses in West Berkshire where we provide young people with a stable home, emotional support and practical help as they move into independence.
We are seeking a resilient, organised and self-motivated Finance Officer that has an exceptional eye for detail. The Finance role is varied and includes a broad range of charity, financial and budgeting responsibilities as well as working with the Support Services Manager in supporting young people in their tenancy sustainment.
Principal Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
- Process all financial transactions within QuickBooks and perform reconciliation of all control accounts and bank accounts monthly
- Carry out bank reconciliations and month end procedures as required
- Record and monitor donations and grants, restricted and unrestricted, ensuring they are error-free
- Prepare and process monthly support invoices
- Process payments, following authorisation, via our Faster Payment’s system
- Ensuring bank protocols and records are up to date concerning authorised signatories
- Provide high quality and effective financial reporting, support and assistance to the CEO and Corporate and Community Fundraiser
- Creating and updating budgets and forecasts for overall operations
- Coordinating the Payroll submission and payments in collaboration with payroll company
- Preparation of Housing Benefit Schedules for new properties
- Monitor and review financial systems and procedures and recommend, devise and implement more effective and efficient procedures
- Highlight financial risks to the CEO and suggest/develop possible mitigations
- Advise and adhere to Financial Policy and protocols and authorisation protocols.
Tenancy Management
- Act as the primary contact for young people’s questions and concerns on issues such as rent payments and service charge queries
- Manage housing benefit claims, liaising with young people and West Berkshire Council
- Calculate young people’s rent on receipt of monthly payslips
- Track rent and service charge payments to identify any delays or arrears, liaising with young people and the Support Services Manager as necessary
- Manage arrears. Communicate with young people to remind them of overdue payments using a supportive approach
- Keep the Support Services Manager informed of persistent non-payment by young people, following procedures when necessary.
Technology
- Lead in providing technology recommendations to CEO
- Managing relationship with outsourced IT function
General Responsibilities
- To understand, adhere to and actively implement all the policies and procedures of Bridge for Young People and its services at all times
- To support the CEO in the development of strategies and the financial plans
- To operate and comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and relevant Bridge for Young People policies on data protection during the course of undertaking the role
- To undertake training as required
- To assist with other work, events and projects as needed
- To undertake additional tasks reasonably requested by the CEO and the Charity Team
Additional Training Provided
- General on-the-job training. The successful applicant will also be required to undertake training identified and set out in Bridge for Young People’s Training and Development Policy and Procedures.
Personal Specification
Essential
- Financial management/bookkeeping qualification
- Experience of using an accounting package
- Ability to present financial and written information clearly, accurately and to a standard appropriate for external presentation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to be able to deal with a multitude of tasks and a range of priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-finance managers
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- A DBS check will be required

- Working knowledge of charity accounting including principles of restricted fund accounting
- Experience of using QuickBooks

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant-makers.
