The Programme Manager role
Due to the continued expansion and sustainability of our programmes, we are seeking a new team member to support our next period of growth into the 2025-2026 academic year.
You will be a consumate account manager to support our skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions access a range of TTF educational programmes.

*Hybrid working

About the opportunity
We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. Excitingly this means we will be expanding our reach and starting to work in geographies that we've not reached before.
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Hull.
The Hull Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.

The focus of this role will be delivery of administrative support to the fundraising team. You will be the first point of contact for new individual supporters and play a key role in our stewardship and engagement plans. You will be involved in gathering feedback and experiences from our visitors so that we can show our impact. You will have an important role to make sure our database, record keeping and financial systems are accurate and fully up to date. You will assist the Fundraising Manager to generate financial and impact reports for use internally and externally. The post holder’s key tasks will be as follows:
Key responsibilities:
Supporter care and communication (30%)
·Act as the first point of contact for fundraising enquiries, including in person visits, ensuring a positive, personalised and friendly approach.
·Proactively and reactively communicate with new and existing supporters to thank and steward, in line with our established stewardship plans and practices. This will be via phone, email, letter, social media and in person.
·In collaboration with the Fundraising Manager produce materials and resources to support our stewardship of donors and supporters. This will include preparation of newsletters, social media content, marketing/fundraising materials and helping to plan and deliver supporter and participation events.
·Assist with systematic gathering and presentation of visitor feedback from a range of stakeholders including participants, group leaders, parents and teachers. This will be through face-to-face conversations, online events, surveys and through collating evidence gathered routinely by teams at Bendrigg.
Financial administration (25%)
·Working with the Finance Manager and Fundraising Manager, accurately process, record and reconcile donations received from a variety of sources.
·Log donations using a combination of manual data entry, automated imports, and third-party integrations with our fundraising database.
·Confidently run internal reports to generate statistics and impact measurements for use in our accounting and grant reports.
·Manage the charity’s Gift Aid submissions in line with HMRC guidance.
Database support (20%)
·Record supporters, donations, activities and communications accurately on the fundraising database.
·Ensure the database is fully up-to-date and complies with data protection regulations including GDPR.
·Export fundraising data and generate reports for the fundraising team.
·Maximise proficiency with the database through training, development, and opportunities to network and share best practice with other charities.

Team administrative support (15%)

Context of Role
Our client supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. They provide immediate casework support, as well as ongoing services including counselling, complementary therapies, play therapy, coffee mornings, support events and a respite cottage.
As they continue to expand their services across England the successful candidate will play a central role in the ongoing development of their relationships with stakeholders. Initiative and drive play an integral part of ensuring their professional stakeholders remain engaged and champion their service to those they support. The post holder will provide immediate and ongoing emotional and practical support to families, friends, witnesses and professionals affected by the sudden death of a child or young adult.
Main Duties include:
- To initiate immediate support for a caseload of families whose children and young people aged 0-25 have died suddenly and unexpectedly across the county you reside in and bordering counties.
- Complete an initial assessment of families' needs to identify and plan the support as required in line with safeguarding and risk reduction.
- Offer emotional support and advice to a case load of families through home visits and ongoing weekly telephone calls.
- To liaise with the Counselling Support and Outreach Coordinator, who is responsible for organising formal support such as counselling, complementary therapy or play therapy, subject to consent from the bereaved individual.
- To work with hospital staff, GP’s, police officers, coroner offices, mental health teams and other healthcare professionals to raise awareness of and promote referrals into the charity from the county you reside in and bordering counties.
- To deliver awareness training in hospitals and other healthcare settings, schools and workplaces on the use of the bereavement boxes, the services they offer, how to refer into the charity and bereavement awareness.
- To ensure families have been offered a memory box and coordinate these when required.
- Facilitate debriefs within professional settings following a traumatic or sudden death of a child or young person.
- To work with hospital trusts to establish and maintain the upkeep of suitable bereavement suites for bereaved individuals to use as required.

Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey has been established for over 100 years. We enable and empower people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind to overcome barriers and to be as independent as possible.

We are looking to recruit a new Fundraising Coordinator who believes in our vision that there should be “No Street Called Home” for children living on the streets in Uganda and who wants to help us to grow this impact and further change children’s lives.
Reporting to: Development Manager
Location: Remote
Working Hours: Part-time, 2.5 days per week (working days are flexible)

This is a 2.5 day a week role which would be perfect for someone looking for a flexible job that makes a big social justice impact. This would suit someone with family responsibilities or who is studying a part time masters course for example, who needs a job role that fits in around their other commitments. You will be joining a wonderful team in the UK and Uganda. We currently have two paid staff (based in London and Bournemouth) and a variety of volunteers in the UK, plus a team of 26 staff in Uganda. Key Activities

- Researching and writing funding applications to Trusts, Foundations and Corporate CSR programmes, in order to secure funding for new programmes or projects
- Writing funding reports, to fulfil obligations to funders

- Leading on the design and delivery of the organisations Community Fundraising strategy

We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. Excitingly this means we will be expanding our reach and starting to work in geographies that we've not reached before.

The Rotherham/Sheffield Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
The Rotherham/Sheffield Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
- Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
- Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

- Record your observations using standardised forms and relay your observations to the travel training coordinator on a weekly basis.
- Allow the young person to learn independently and only guide, support or intervene when necessary (this will be included in your induction)
- Approach travel training in a positive manner by reinforcing achievements and viewing obstacles as opportunities to learn. Discuss strategies and agree solutions with the young person, their family and the travel training coordinator.
- To contact the travel training coordinator immediately if there are any emergencies or unexpected situations.
- Ensure that the young person is trained to use the alternative route safely and independently.
- Ensure that the young person learns and/or knows how to contact parents or carers in case of an emergency
- Any issues or concerns must be raised with the travel training coordinator or the business development manager.

- Learn the support needs of the young person prior to training
