Job Purpose
This is an exciting time to join our small and impactful team, as we enter year two of our four-year strategy, with goals to broaden and deepen our reach and impact, diversify our funding and delivery partnerships, and boost our programmes to support year 6 to 7 transition and tutor career development opportunities. The Tutor and Partnerships Manager is responsible for ensuring our tutors have the skills, support, and development opportunities to not just excel in their tutoring role, but also to find meaningful employment or training following graduation. This will include:
- Line managing and supporting the Tutor Coordinator, and overseeing the 100+ strong tutor cohort
- Building and managing employer and university partnerships
- Creating a strategic vision for Tutor Development and Training Monitoring tutor recruitment to ensure each year’s cohort is characterised by quality, commitment, and diversity, while growing in line with our annual strategic delivery goals
Most importantly, the Tutor and Partnerships Manager will consistently guide and steer the direction of the Tutor Team to ensure TU continues to make a positive impact at the end of the programme – thus making you accountable for the retention and development of tutors as we continue to grow into new areas of the country. This is a crucial role which drives team performance towards achieving our strategic objectives and ensures the tutor team and cohort is operating in such a way that we are able to hit our organisational targets for impact, finance, and growth. The Tutor and Partnerships Manager is a varied role, reflecting the many different aspects of the tutors’ involvement and importance to Tutors United. As well as overseeing the successful execution of daily operations, the Tutor and Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team and the programmes team to create strategic development opportunities for our tutors that enhance our ability to attract high quality tutors and ensure their own personal and professional growth. You will also develop and refine our Tutor Impact and Measurement systems, so that we are able to make data-driven decisions around recruitment, retention, and tutor development. This will involve identifying trends amongst tutors, making strategic adjustments in response to those trends, and reporting to senior members of Tutors United and our Board of Trustees at different points throughout the academic year. You will also work closely with the Programme and Impact Manager to ensure strong collaboration and cohesion across the frontline delivery team as a whole. Working closely with our Support Team Leader and the administration team you will ensure that our volunteer and school customer journeys run smoothly.
You will be responsible for the support of 80+ schools and their volunteers usually via phone or email; raising awareness in local communities, booking introductory visits for schools and volunteers to meet, ensuring records are accurate for invoicing, responding to enquiries, managing relationships, and leading online meetings. All activities undertaken will be accurately recorded on Salesforce - our CRM system.

We are seeking a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Sessional Worker to support the delivery of services for Young Carers aged 5–16. The role involves two key parts. The second is supporting with outreach to local schools, colleges, community settings and professionals to identify and engage Young Carers.
About The Role:
You will work across two key age groups, 5–11 and 12–16, delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. You will deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls and aim to identify and engage Young Carers in the community. You will also help ensure young Carers feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. SOHK is at a new and exciting stage of development. We plan to double the number of young people engaging with our programmes over the next five years. OVERVIEW
The Trusts & Foundations Manager will play a central role in shaping SOHK’s future growth. They will lead on major grant applications, support targeted bids aligned with regional delivery, and manage relationships with existing charitable funders.
Around one-third of SOHK’s £1.5 million income currently comes from grants, with active partnerships including major funders such as the Garfield Weston Foundation and Impetus. Sustaining and growing this income will require proactive research, strategic outreach, and a highly organised, detail-focused approach to both applications and stewardship.
The role works closely with the CEO, who is committed to leveraging their time and networks to support fundraising success. The post-holder will also collaborate with Regional Directors and other fundraising colleagues, while enjoying a high level of autonomy and contributing to the long-term direction of SOHK’s Trusts & Foundations strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and submit high-quality funding proposals, including applications for six-figure and multi-year grants, by meeting appropriate deadlines and tailoring applications so they appeal to different funder priorities
- Manage and develop a strong pipeline of Trust & Foundations funders for future years, including researching and prospecting new leads through active outreach
- Work with the CEO, Regional Directors and overall fundraising team to identify key funding priorities and strategically deploying the capacity available
- Develop and keep the fundraising CRM updated as a central source of trusts and foundations knowledge, clearly identifying funding gaps and adjusting targets
- Strengthen existing funding partnerships through warm stewardship and efficient grant reporting, maximising the charity’s chances of repeat funding

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Demonstrable track record in leading on successful medium and major grant applications, including six-figure and multi-year grants
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to present a compelling case for support to a variety of funders
- Comfortable in understanding and presenting financial information and in creating budgets for grant applications
- Experience with CRM/fundraising databases for tracking applications, deadlines, and relationship management
- Highly organised and proactive, used to taking the lead on managing a large volume of potential grants in line with the submission dates

About the Role
The Learning Support Team provides targeted support to young people, helping them develop core practical and academic skills, broaden their existing interests, and explore new ideas. In this role, you will deliver both group and one-to-one sessions, including tailored Maths and English tuition based on individual needs. You will work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure each young person has appropriate access to educational opportunities and engagement.
We believe that everyone has the right to learn in the way that suits them best—so there’s no such thing as a “typical” day in this role. Sessions can take place anywhere: from the beach to the kitchen, the garden, or even the gym. As with all our teams and services, the unexpected is part of everyday life—though with us, it can take many forms. We've been at this for a fair few years... over 150 to be precise. Over this time, we’ve remained passionate about helping children and young people develop a vibrant faith in Jesus. As our name describes, the radical power of God's word has always been central to our approach.
We still do all the great stuff with resources and holidays, but in the last few years, we have sharpened our vision with a renewed focus to help the 95% of young people (primary and secondary school age) across the UK who have never stepped foot inside a church, to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus. Half Time is our brand new Explore-Respond resource which uses sports-themed videos and fun games to help the 95 to explore the life of Jesus by journeying through Mark’s Gospel.
About Activate
Activate is a sport and physical activity-based programme, formed in 2018, seeking to build community through wellbeing that invigorates faith. Activate seeks to release God’s people to join in his mission through sport and physical activity in the areas surrounding Bushy Park. This includes gathering, encouraging and empowering local Christians involved in sports ministry, including expressions of chaplaincy and missional communities centred around sports clubs, centres, educational settings and gyms. A number of local churches across denominations and Dioceses have been supporters of the project.
In the past Activate has supported sports projects in local schools, an activity-based church service, wellbeing cafe sessions, exercise sessions for the elderly and youth activities. The successful candidate will be involved in re-launching Activate’s mission after a break due to staff changes.
About your team
With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of a national-focused sports team at SU, as well as the south team with a regional focus and the local context with Activate. You’ll work out of the office of St Peter’s Church, West Molesey, benefiting from the support of a local parish-based team including clergy and youth workers. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban to coastal and rural areas across the south. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners. Across the south region, we currently work with 130 churches and have 150 faith guides. We’d like to see these numbers grow significantly over the next few years and believe that a vibrant sports ministry can contribute meaningfully to this.

About this role
This is a joint role delivered by Class 13 as part of two interconnected programmes in Lambeth. One is a long-term embedded pilot working deeply with two local schools to reimagine school culture from the inside out. The other is part of a borough-wide initiative commissioned by SEL ICB and supported by Black Thrive to improve emotional wellbeing for Black and mixed heritage children.
Both strands aim to create more human, equitable school environments—and we are seeking someone committed to walking alongside families, schools, and systems to help make this happen.
While the role is relational at its core, it also involves managing light but essential administrative and reporting tasks particularly during key programme milestones. This includes maintaining accurate records, preparing summaries of engagement sessions, and handling transcripts to ensure learning is captured and shared.
Role Summary
We are seeking a deeply reflective and relational School & Community Engagement Partner who isn’t afraid to ask bold questions or sit with uncomfortable truths.
This role isn’t about quick fixes or ticking engagement boxes—it’s about nurturing trust, challenging old habits, and reimagining what school can be. You’ll be at the heart of a long-term transformation project, working deeply with two Lambeth schools while also contributing to a broader borough-wide initiative that invites families, staff, and communities to imagine something better—together.
At its core, this work is about shifting power. About listening with care, convening with purpose, and walking alongside parents, carers, teachers, and school leaders as they navigate what change can look like when it’s built on affirmation, curiosity, and collective responsibility.
You’ll help strengthen the connection between schools and families through sustained relationships, collective inquiry, and shared action. Some of your work will be intensive and embedded, walking alongside schools to shift culture from the inside out. The School & Community Engagement Partner will report to the Head of Programmes and the primary lead work closely with school leadership, teachers, and local organisations to transform parent-school relationships.

- To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
- To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
- To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
- To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.
Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors
- We will pay £2250 (inclusive of VAT) + up to £500 bonus payments (if criteria are met) upon submission of a successfully completed Form F Assessment.
- £37.50 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

You will be DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualified and registered with the relevant regulatory body (Social Work England).
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role and will be undertaken by TACT on your behalf.

XLP is a vibrant youth work charity dedicated to shaping bright futures for young people. Leading the charge against poverty and educational failure in inner London, we offer holistic, long-term support to 11 to 25 year olds in both schools and communities.
We’re looking for a People and Culture Partner who will be a generalist with prior experience of working in a mid to senior level HR capacity. You’ll be responsible for the effective provision of comprehensive HR services for XLP, develop highly effective relationships across the team, maintaining a real understanding of their challenges and opportunities. You’ll partner with Line Managers on a range of HR duties encompassing the entire employee life cycle, including implementing an HR software platform and reporting, employee relations case work, safer recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, staff training and development and more.
You’ll ensure we recruit and retain excellent staff to ensure we’re giving our best for young people. You’ll be happy to manage all aspects of HR and the employee lifecycle, and not be afraid to work autonomously and get stuck in.
This is a full time, hybrid role.
