VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time (14-21 hours per week). Additional hours may sometime be required, particularly for Trustee meetings, and can be taken as Time Off In Lieu.
The charity’s inaugural Volunteer Coordinator will lead on the charity’s existing and emerging volunteer activity, including recruitment, onboarding and management of volunteer groups. Volunteers will be key in the achievement of local impact, and the coordination of these vital roles will be equally as important.
The postholder will support managers in the creation and implementation of volunteering opportunities and ensure that the charity’s policies and procedures create a safe, supportive and effective environment in which volunteers can thrive.

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager
Salary: £34,500.
Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. Full time (35 hours per week) although flexible hours may be considered; the role may require occasional evening and weekend work
Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the office a minimum of two days per month, with the possibility of up to five days per month being routinely required.
Reporting to: Partnership Development Lead, Corporate Partnerships team
BACKGROUND
The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.
When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.
Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.
Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.
JOB INFORMATION
We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships
You’ll be ambitious to take the next step and we are on hand to support and offer you training and a positive working environment to allow you to gain confidence and knowledge in the role at a steady pace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.
- Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
- Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies.
- Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership.
- Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to help SARSAS realise it’s vision of a world without sexual violence, through our ambitious strategy to extend our training and preventive programmes.
Anchored in the voice of survivors and a feminist, women-led organisation you will lead our training team to deliver across multiple workstream and sectors to work towards achieving the change in society needed to end sexual violence.
Building on our excellent reputation and experience of delivering to VCS, statutory and corporate organisations, you will develop and implement credible plans to increase existing (training) business income, seeking out new opportunities and ensuring there is a realistic training pipeline.
You will support the team to ensure our diverse offer is accessible and delivered within agreed time, scope and budget.
About you
You will be passionate, creative, experienced and skilled in enabling the delivery of high-quality training programmes to drive forward our training and prevention services that have the voice of survivors at the heart of delivery.
You will be a strong and compassionate manager with the relevant qualities and experience to support a team of highly trained workers, with an understanding of the impacts of vicarious trauma.
You will be a strategic leader able to sustainably develop and grow our training provision enshrining our offer is agile to meet emerging needs.
You will be an effective communicator who will relish building and managing external relationships with clients, partners and funders across the VCS, statutory and corporate sectors, excelling in developing and maintaining internal relationships and external partnerships.
You will have excellent project management skills, ensuring that training services are delivered within time, scope and budget, with effective team-working skills and an ability to self-direct, manage your own time and prioritise effectively.

About SARSAS
SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.
SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.
SARSAS works to feminist principles: this underpins both what our service is and how it is run. Our work is guided by a trauma-informed approach which understands how traumatic experiences can impact on survivors and keeps an awareness of the effects of trauma at the forefront of our approach to support.

Contract information
Salary: £36,000 pa (Full Time Equivalent)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Based: Bristol based with up to 50% working from home
Annual leave: 27 days + bank holidays (pro-rata)
Contract: Fixed term up to 12 months

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint an experienced Fundraising Manager.
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to drive forward relationship building and income generation across all income streams, especially Individual Giving including appeals and major donors, Corporates, Trusts & Foundations and Legacies.
You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects. You will ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams, evaluating new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation.
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Engagement you will develop the Fundraising Strategy, and as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, will be the lead for driving forward sustainable fundraising activity in collaboration with colleagues.
A compelling and engaging communicator, you’ll be adept at managing a portfolio of donors at different stages – from prospecting and cultivation through to ask, stewardship and retention, working at all levels of the Trust to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
You must have substantial experience working in a senior fundraising position with a natural talent for building positive relationships both internally and externally, developing a fundraising team and growing a mixed fundraising portfolio. If you want to make difference for Yorkshire’s wildlife and wild places and can demonstrate a successful track record in fundraising, then we’d love to hear from you.
