About the role

You will develop innovative ways to engage this untapped talent pool, collaborating with colleagues across the charity to put your ideas into action. Your work will contribute directly to matching volunteers to projects that influence and improve every Parkinson's journey.

Join our friendly, fast-paced, and passionate team and be part of a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.

This role is offered on a 9 month fixed-term contract with the chance to extend.

What you’ll do

  • Research, design, develop and trial new ways to attract and engage professionally-skilled volunteers

  • Create, develop and embed an offer that brings skilled volunteers into the charity which matches them to suitable projects and placements

  • Provide high quality support and guidance to colleagues so that they have the skills to lead on their own placements

  • Provide consultancy for teams across the charity on effective ways to involve volunteers in their work

  • Develop and support onboarding tools and journey for our skilled volunteers

What you’ll bring

  • Innovative approaches to develop new ways of working with and engaging professionals

  • Experience of developing commercial partnerships with highly skilled individuals that are mutually beneficial

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate the value that skilled volunteers bring to a high-performing organisation

  • Experience of implementing or designing webpages or microsites

  • Proven ability to provide high quality support to colleagues, informed by an understanding of good practice in volunteer involvement

This is an exciting time for Parkinson’s UK and we would love you to join us!

Please apply by sending us your CV, together with a detailed supporting statement which will fully demonstrate how you meet all the criteria of the role, as stated in the "What you'll bring" section of the job description.

Interview for this role will be held on 10 April 2026
