As a member of the team you will support activities that enable us to gather evidence to better understand peoples’ experiences, across the full spectrum of lived experience of dementia. You’ll support key involvement activities influencing local and national work, helping us to make the case for change as well working on projects that have a direct impact on people’s daily lives.
You’ll have the opportunity to take forward a project that will support the Alzheimer’s Society to reach and involve more people affected by dementia.
The apprenticeship is for 18 months and in this role, you will complete a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship.
About you
You will play a key co-ordination and support role within the Involvement Team. Working with colleagues, people living with dementia and their family, friends and carers in person and by telephone, email, via social media channels and over teams and zoom.
You’ll be supporting activities that enable people with lived and learnt experience to collaborate, sharing their knowledge, skills and opinions to help plan, shape and influence the work of Alzheimer’s Society.
Patience, empathy and a willingness to learn are essential skills. Someone who is self-motivated and has great interpersonal skills. You’ll be technically literate /IT proficient and interested in learning how to use our Dementia Voice Database.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of involvement activities that gather insight from people affected by dementia.
- Engage with people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers through telephone, email, online platforms (Teams/Zoom) and social media.
- Assist in organising meetings, forums and engagement sessions, ensuring they are accessible and inclusive.
- Maintain accurate records and support data entry, including learning to use and manage information within the Dementia Voice database.
What you’ll focus on:
- Coordinating and supporting involvement activities that gather insight from people affected by dementia.
- Communicating with people living with dementia, families and carers across phone, email, online platforms and social media.
- Organising inclusive meetings and engagement sessions, ensuring accessibility and a positive experience.
- Recording and managing feedback and data, including learning to use the Dementia Voice database.
- Contributing to projects that increase participation and ensure lived experience meaningfully shapes local and national work.
Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place via MS Teams on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th April.

Our Newport based centre is at the heart of Blue Cross’s work in South East Wales, providing vital services in a creative, community-focused way. We don’t have kennels or catteries on site, so we think differently to help pets and their people, from running a busy food bank to delivering rehoming and support services for a variety of animals.
As Assistant Manager – Client Services, you’ll be at the forefront of this work. You’ll:
- Lead the client services team to deliver exceptional care from first enquiry through to adoption or other support
- Work closely with the team to assess and admit pets, match them with the right adopters, and guide clients through every step of their journey
- Use data and insights to shape services and continuously improve client experience
- Collaborate with the local leadership team to meet targets and drive pet welfare outcomes
- Be hands-on with day-to-day operations including managing enquiries, prioritising admissions and carrying out practical tasks as they arise
This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week on a rota that includes 1 in 3 weekends and bank holidays. The working day is from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

The Employee Relations Team is a vital part of our HR department, supporting managers across the organisation with matters including conduct, capability, absence, redundancy and a wide range of other employee relations topics. We are now looking for an Employee Relations Assistant to support our Advisers while also developing your own skills and responsibilities.
This is an ideal role for someone currently working in HR administration or HR support, who is working towards (or already has) a professional HR qualification-ideally CIPD Level 5-and is keen to gain deeper ER experience.
What you’ll be doing
In this position you will work closely with our experienced team of eight Employee Relations Advisers. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of ER activities, take part in case discussions, and gradually take ownership of less complex matters.

Essential skills & experience:
- Experience in an HR Administrator, HR Assistant or HR Coordinator role.
- Confidence in advising managers on HR procedures and basic ER issues.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competent user of MS Office and HR systems.
- CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) and ideally working towards Level 5.
- A basic understanding of employment law principles and developments.

Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a painful, lifelong inflammatory condition affecting around 1 in people. Despite this, awareness remains low and diagnosis is often delayed.
ASIF brings together 60 patient organisations across 48 countries to raise awareness, strengthen patient voices and improve understanding of axSpA globally. We are a small, fully remote team who care deeply about the work we do and about working supportively and collaboratively with one another.
We are now looking for an organised, proactive and thoughtful Project Co-ordinator/ Operations Assistant to help us deliver a major international online research study, while also supporting our wider activities.
This is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful - research that will help shape advocacy, awareness and understanding for people living with inflammatory arthritis around the world.
The Role
Your time will be split approximately:
- 70–80% supporting an ambitious international research project·
- 20–30% supporting ASIF’s wider operations
You will work closely with our Project Manager, international member organisations and scientific partners to support all stages of the study, from set-up and ethics submissions through to recruitment, reporting and sharing findings globally.
Alongside this, you’ll help with events, communications and general organisational support, because in a small team, we all contribute where needed.

Qualifications & Experience

- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in other global languages is highly desirable.
- High digital fluency with productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms.
