We are on the look out for passionate Virtual Session Leaders to deliver our impactful programmes from September 2026. You will play a direct part in achieving our goal of supporting more young people as you deliver after school learning sessions. If you’ve got experience facilitating or leading groups and are motivated by making in impact, we’d love to hear from you!

You will be working in the team to deliver daily reading and writing sessions to pupils in Years 5-8. Your timetable will include days when you lead session and days when you support session. 

As Virtual Session Leader: 

• Leading learning activities on our Virtual ship
• Leading termly celebration events to launch Young Pirate products
• Briefing and supporting volunteers (Crewmates) in session
• Deliver monitoring and evaluation activities to check progress 

As Virtual Session Support:

• Completing session admin
• Leading on the smooth running of Zoom Class and troubleshooting tech issues with Young Pirates
• Liaising with schools and families to ensure Young Pirates attend as many sessions as possible
• Providing extra support to learning activities in session
• Leading breaktime
• Debriefing with volunteers and taking feedback and safeguarding concerns

• Creating a safe and joyful environment in session for all Young Pirates to thrive.
• Implementing the behaviour, attendance and wellbeing processes including reporting and following up on concerns.

Other activities to support the programme:

• Engaging families with supportive communication about progress and behaviour.

The National Flood Forum (NFF) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual for the role Head of Flood Support – Hybrid with significant travel in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with communities, especially those at risk of flooding. This role is to support our Flood Support Work, encompassing the delivery of a professional Helpline and Community based Flood Recovery activity.

The National Flood Forum is a national charity founded by those affected by flooding, working to support and represent individuals and communities at risk. Role Overview:

This role is a member of the organisation’s management team and has responsibility for the delivery of our flood support work. The postholder will lead the delivery of a professional helpline service and oversee reactive and proactive flood support services to communities and business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Flood Support: Lead and manage high-quality proactive and reactive Flood Support Services for communities and businesses at risk of, and impacted by, flooding, including helpline & recovery services and management of the flood support vehicle. Ensure service quality through performance management, maintaining service consistency, maximising strategic impact, championing best practice, and delivering against objectives.
• Stakeholder relationships: Develop and maintain key partnerships with Risk Management authorities, (RMAs), and other stakeholders. Act as senior engagement lead, providing a clear escalation route and positioning National Flood Forum  as a trusted, informed critical friend for flooded communities.
• Research and Evidence: Oversee flood support research, collecting and evaluating evidence to strengthen advocacy. Provide insight to support policy and practice influence.
• Income: Identify, scope, and lead the development of high-quality engagement contracts, working with teams and management to prioritise and secure income.
• Political and Fundraising support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political engagement and fundraising. Attend relevant meetings.

· People Management: Manage a matrix team, fostering collaboration, motivation, and development. Mentor team members and ensure skills and competence are maintained to achieve high performance

All activities are expected to be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation, respecting the organisation’s values and behaviours. Experience and Qualifications required:

• Empathetic: Understand the challenges faced by those at risk of flooding and help to work with communities and agencies to provide practical solutions.
• Organized and Flexible: Proven experience working to deadlines and prioritising workloads. Able to self-motivate and work in isolation or as part of a small team.
• Projects: Comprehensive experience of managing projects including able to analyse, diagnose problems  through to implementing effective solutions.
• Communication: Able to stay calm and constructive in challenging situations.
• Knowledge – Working knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and current practice.
• Staff management: Have previously directly managed staff.
• Qualifications - BTEC or NVQ4 or relevant experience in one or more relevant subjects e.g. environmental science, development, engagement.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Assistant Site Manager for our Scotland Region. The role will assist the Site Manager with the management of mainly urban woodlands in West Lothian, Central Scotland. This will involve leading on the management our growing Volunteering teams, assisting with monitoring contracts, liaising with maintenance contractors, engaging with neighbours and the public, running events and carrying out surveys associated with delivery of site management plans and work programme.

A company vehicle will be provided for this role. Please note that out Company Vehicle Policy is also under review as part of our Job Families and Contract Review project, so the eligibility criteria therein are subject to change in due course.

The Role:

• Oversee and monitor estate contract works, ensuring delivery to the highest professional standards and full compliance with FSC certification.
• Implement and maintain Health & Safety compliance on sites, including risk assessments, recording, safety surveys and overseeing resulting works.
• Support woodland and land management planning, including ecological condition assessments, compartment records, species checks and site surveys.
• Plan, deliver and financially manage site management programmes, working with agents, contractors and volunteers to agreed budgets.
• Lead tendering, procurement and contract management, ensuring value for money, accurate pricing and effective delivery.
• Support site budgeting and work programming, assisting the Site Manager with forecasting and monitoring expenditure.
• Manage volunteers and community engagement, working with the Volunteering Team to recruit, coordinate and support volunteer activity (including Woodland Working Groups).
• Act as a professional external representative, engaging with schools, community groups, neighbours, contractors and stakeholders. Additionally, supporting events, funding bids and visits
• This is a homebased role, requiring regular travel to locations within the West Lothian landscape and wider Scotland, sometimes to remote locations. You would be expected to live within reasonable travelling distance of your area of responsibility. Occasional travel to regional offices and overnight stays will be required.

The Candidate:

• You’ll have experience working in a public-facing land-based management role, within either the conservation or commercial sector, ideally in an urban environment.
• You’ll have experience working within the charity sector, collaborating across internal teams and with external partners.
• A proven ability to manage Health & Safety, including conducting site inspections and overseeing safe delivery of activities.
• Strong experience in community, school and volunteer engagement, supporting participation and inclusive involvement.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage confidently with diverse audiences in writing and verbally, and to represent the Trust professionally and positively.
• You’ll have experience managing contracts and contractors, delivering site-based works including access and people-focused projects.
• You’ll have an ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload effectively, working with internal and external partners to deliver shared objectives.
• You’ll possess relevant technical knowledge and practical capability, including awareness of UKWAS, NPF4 and the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, supported by a qualification in forestry/land management (or equivalent experience) and IT literacy.
• The successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence, and ability to meet pre-employment checks. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake a PVG Background Check, as part of our pre-employment screening.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll support the day-to-day operation of the HR systems across the organisation.

Are you an experienced senior administrator or operations professional who wants to use your skills to support a meaningful cause?

My client is a Black-led charity with a long track record of supporting Black and racialised women and children affected by domestic abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls. They are entering a busy period of growth and transition and are now seeking an Interim Senior Admin Officer to step in quickly, stabilise systems and support the organisation through change.

The role As Interim Senior Admin Officer, you will play a central role in ensuring the organisation runs smoothly, safely and compliantly. You will take stock of existing systems, put clear processes in place and provide practical support to staff and trustees during a period of onboarding and recruitment.

You will also work closely with the Admin Officer and Receptionist, offering day-to-day guidance, support and coaching to help them deliver to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include

• Reviewing and improving operational systems across administration, record-keeping, filing, archiving and IT
• Leading supplier and contract management, including reviewing value for money and setting up clear contract processes
• Supporting recruitment activity and onboarding of new staff and trustees, including inductions, equipment and access
