Job description

Can you listen calmly and empathically to a boy who has experienced sexual abuse? A non-binary person who was raped? The partner of a man sexually assaulted?

You’ll give emotional support, information and signposting via webchat, email, SMS, Whatsapp and phone to men, boys and non-binary people who have experienced sexual abuse, and their loved ones.

This is a flexible, rewarding role with the chance to make a meaningful difference to the journeys of those who contact us. Last year 2,500 contacted us; no two chats were the same.


  • Mondays, 12.00pm - 4.00pm
  • Thursdays, 4.00pm - 8.00pm
  • Fridays, 12.00pm - 4.00pm
  • + around 4 hours per month of line management, team meetings and supervision
  • + Opportunity for overtime.


  • Work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • You must have a private, confidential home working environment during the COVID pandemic to be considered for this role.
  • When safe, our usual place of work is in Shadwell/Wapping, London (E1). Weekend shifts are always worked from home.

Key dates:

20-minute assessment:

  • Monday 26th October, between 9am and 1pm


  • Thursday 5th November

Start date:

  • Thursday 19th November, ideally

Training (mandatory):

  • Saturday 5th December

All of these will take place online.
