About the Role
As a Program Accountant at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:
- Ensure accurate and timely month end accounting and reporting for your portfolio of projects.
- Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for projects in your portfolio and supporting the annual reforecast process in the Foundation.
- Ensure accurate and timely donor reporting in line with donor requirements, timelines, formats, contractual obligations, and timescales.
- Represent finance on project boards as required.
- Work with Business Development, Program Team and other stakeholders as required in preparing budget proposals to donors.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management.
- Provide financial guidance and support to stakeholders in the Foundation supporting decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant, accounting standards, and donor regulations.
- Work closely with the Program staff providing financial analysis, projects insights to help make sure that projects are completed on time and within agreed budgets.
- Continuous Improvement and Automation - Contribute to the improvement of financial processes, procedures and systems within the organization to enhance effective financial management and organisational efficiency.

About You
To be our Program Accountant, you will likely have:
- Qualified Accountant with experience working in program accounting and reporting in a Charity (minimum of 5 years of experience).

- Strong Knowledge and understanding of financial process improvements.

Legacy and In Memory Marketing Manager

About the Team
The WaterAid Legacy & In Memory team is responsible for increasing supporter and public awareness and consideration to give a gift in their will and/or an in memory gift. We deliver an audience led communication programme using diverse channels and products. The team deliver supporter journeys, engage staff in the cross promotion of gifts in wills and in memory giving and all aspects of legacy gift case management. We contribute to 14% of WaterAid’s voluntary income, meaning you’ll be a vital part of helping us reach even more people with life-saving clean water.
About the Role
As our creative, innovative and data led Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering WaterAid’s legacy and in memory fundraising programme with the support of the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer. You will deliver multi-channel campaigns across TV, digital, direct mail, email and events to raise awareness of gifts in wills, generate legacy enquirers and create inspiring journeys to nurture and engage legacy and in memory supporters.
In this role, you will plan, manage and execute multi-channel campaigns across the marketing funnel, as well as work with the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer to deliver exceptional stewardship, through personal communications and events, to our committed supporters.
You’ll also:
- Be responsible for using data, analysis and insight to innovate and maximise both existing campaigns and seek to test new audiences and channels that meet specific objectives within the LIM Team plans
- Undertake Project Management responsibilities required for the successful and timely delivery of multiple channel campaigns – including delivery of the award-winning legacy consideration campaign What Jack Gave across TV and digital
- Manage, coach and motivate the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer to deliver their campaigns.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaigns
- Operate a rigorous test to learn methodology, regularly monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns
Requirements
You’ll be passionate about using your experience in fundraising and marketing to make a difference by creating inspiring and supporter-led communications that effectively raises consideration for legacy giving and uncovers new legacy prospects and legacy pledgers.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in direct marketing – print and digital
- Experience of leading and motivating internal and external stakeholders

- Experience in monitoring, evaluating and analysing complex campaigns to improve performance and manage expenditure budgets

The Senior Events and Programme Coordinator (Leadership) has key responsibility for supporting our Leadership Programmes working alongside the Events and Membership Manager and the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to ensure work is covered by the wider team and to act as a central point of contact for partners and clients.
The Programme, Network and Event Coordination Team is a key core team led by our Events and Membership Manager, responsible for ensuring that professional programmes, network and event support is provided to the QICN’s core programmes of work and the nurses in the team that lead them.
The role will also include several additional co-ordinator duties as part of the wider team, which is expected to work flexibly to cover the requirements of the organisation.
The post holder will require the ability to work in a fast-paced response environment with a high level of efficiency and the ability to take initiative. Essential is the ability to manage, balance and prioritise several one-off tasks, while ensuring critical routine tasks still take place. While not a key prerequisite for the role, project management would be a skill that would be expected to be developed.
Responsibilities
· Acting as the main point of contact and knowledge base for the Leadership Programme speakers, clients, partners and participants on the programme.
· Acting as a key point of contact for business development and exploring alongside the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) the pipeline for new partners and funding opportunities
· Ensuring with the Events and Membership Manager coverage of the team for the setting up workshops and programmes and ensuring the underpinning administration and coordination is in place.
· Working with the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to track key deliverables within a programme and ensuring the maintenance of records.
· Ensuring the issuing of invoices and onboarding of participants where appropriate
· Ensuring appropriate updating of the CRM and events management software and liaising with the communications team.
· To support the development of a Leadership Programme alumni network and build that into a self-organising community with the wider QICN team.
· Overseeing the coordination and administration of several QICN professional networks.
· Supporting the Network Lead with outreach to potential network members.
· Preparation of online network meetings (creating Zoom events, setting online registration pages, sending out joining instructions, overseeing attendance list, preparation of materials, liaising with attendees and speakers, assistance on the day).
Person Specification

Main Duties
- Funding portfolio management - Have a close and in-depth knowledge of their grants portfolio, including a sound understanding of the philanthropic, institutional and statutory funding mix;
- Internal and external communications - Meet with Trust, Foundation and Institution portfolio managers to discuss proposals, provide updates on the programmatic work, and to formally report back on financial, organisational and technical issues;
- Project management - Effectively manage reporting and the grant renewal process from start to completion including working with multiple teams across ClientEarth’s European and international offices to ensure input from all avenues to complete proposals and reports in a timely and high-quality manner; and
