Job description

Join us as our new Education Manager.  We are looking for a highly capable and inspiring leader with the focus and energy to lead the development of the Social Enterprise Schools programme in London, ensuring that we provide the right support so that all young people can access world-leading learning.

At the Social Enterprise Academy, we believe in the power of learning and development to transform people of all ages to be agents of change.

Created in partnership with the Scottish Government in 2007, Social Enterprise Schools enables every young person to step up and create the change they want to see in the world.

From providing free computer coding classes to tackle local unemployment, to writing and publishing a range of diverse storybooks, these young people are stepping up, taking action and demanding change.

Our pupil-led programme challenges young people to identify the environmental or social issue they want solved and establish a business to make that change happen. This accredited programme has already engaged over 55,000 young people around the world and has been shown to build individual confidence and wellbeing, develop life-long personal and entrepreneurial skills and nurture young people’s sense of justice.

Your role will be to project manage the roll out of the Social Enterprise Schools programme in London, coordinating activity in existing boroughs and developing opportunities in new boroughs, whilst maintaining the high quality and key success factors at the core of the programme.

You will be joining the Social Enterprise Academy at an exceptionally exciting time as we grow the programme in Scotland and replicate Social Enterprise Schools internationally.

We appreciate that the best person might not have all the criteria we have listed, so if you feel your experience and skills will help you to make a great contribution in this role and you have the right mind-set, we would welcome an application from you.
