Mercy Ships UK is entering an ambitious period of growth and we’re looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to help turn that ambition into impact.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the operational engine room of marketing at Mercy Ships UK, ensuring our fundraising, volunteering and brand priorities are transformed into compelling, integrated campaigns that reach the right audiences and deliver measurable results.

Mercy Ships operates hospital ships that bring free, life-changing surgical care and medical training to people who otherwise have little or no access to safe healthcare. Behind that extraordinary mission sits an equally important challenge: engaging more supporters, growing income, recruiting more volunteers and helping more people discover the work of Mercy Ships.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Engagement, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary marketing delivery team spanning creative, content, digital and project coordination. You’ll bring together people, ideas, channels and priorities to make sure great strategies become brilliantly executed campaigns.

You’ll oversee the campaign journey from brief to launch and evaluation, shaping creative ideas, coordinating digital and offline activity, improving workflows, managing resources and using insight and performance data to continually improve what we do.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Volunteering, Strategic Communications, Communities and Engagement, Digital and the wider global Mercy Ships network. This is a highly collaborative role where your ability to influence, prioritise and bring clarity to complex activity will be just as important as your marketing expertise.

We’re looking for someone who combines creative judgement with operational discipline.

You’ll know what makes a great campaign, but you’ll also understand everything that needs to happen behind the scenes to deliver it successfully. You’ll be comfortable moving between creative conversations, campaign planning, digital performance, budgets, stakeholder discussions and team leadership.

You may already be a Head of Marketing, or you could be an experienced senior marketing or campaigns professional ready to take the next step. What matters most is your track record of leading integrated campaigns, managing multidisciplinary teams and turning organisational priorities into marketing activity that delivers results.

This isn’t a role for someone who simply wants to maintain what already exists. We’re strengthening how marketing works across Mercy Ships UK, building greater integration between digital, creative, content and campaign delivery and creating a more resilient in-house capability for the future.

The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children by fighting for every childhood.

To carry out its charitable work the NSPCC relies on the fundraising support of

people across the UK for 90% of its income. Within Engagement and Fundraising

our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC, providing the best

possible supporter experience.

Mass Participation Fundraising is an important acquisition and income stream in

the NSPCC’s Engagement and Fundraising strategy, managing the delivery of a

portfolio of Third Party Events and Schools Fundraising products, as well as

stewarding supporters looking to do their own fundraising activity for the charity

(‘DIY’ fundraisers).

We are looking for a skilled Senior Marketing Officer, who will work across these

audience streams to coordinate marketing activity. This role will focus specifically

on marketing to mass audiences to reflect the breadth of audiences who take part

in Mass Participation Events. This includes parents, grandparents, professionals

who work with children, those with a personal connection to our charity, or simply

those who care deeply about children.

We are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic marketing professional who has

experience delivering insights-driven marketing strategies that make an impact.

Job purpose

The role of the Senior Marketing Officer is to work with the Mass Participation

Team to coordinate and deliver the planning, execution and evaluation of events

fundraising marketing campaigns across all channels.

• Adopting a holistic view of all Mass Participation Team’s marketing to

ensure consistency, and will have a good understanding of how this fits with

the organisation’s strategic goals.

• Working with colleagues in the Mass Participation Team to strategically

manage the planning and coordination of events marketing across owned,

earned and paid channels, ensuring that all campaigns and activities are

integrated, informed, planned and evaluated, and that participation and

income targets are reached.

• Supporting stakeholder teams with strategic thinking during marketing

planning and delivery. This includes championing an audience-led

Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage an integrated marketing approach across owned, earned and paid

channels to achieve participation targets and agreed KPIs, working closely with

event and product managers.

• To ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of mass participation marketing

activity through application of best practice campaign management.

• To take ownership of paid media campaigns for mass audiences in partnership

with our media agency partner. Tasks include the planning and optimisation of

activity across channels like pay-per-click and paid social media advertising.

• Be thorough and agile about monitoring campaign results and evaluating

campaigns, using insight to make informed decisions and determine future

marketing plans.

• To support with content creation where appropriate – this could include

copywriting, creative briefing, webpage updates, email marketing and photoshoot

coordination.

• Regularly benchmark against external fundraising marketing activity, keeping

abreast of current and emerging brand and marketing knowledge and practice and

equipping the team with knowledge and skills as appropriate.

• To work closely with staff across other departments to ensure marketing plans are

integrated and audience-led, in line with the organisation’s Supporter Centricity

Programme.

• To develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder and supplier relationships,

identifying and incorporating best industry standards and establishing best practice.

• To provide financial administrative support to budget holders, planning, forecasting

and tracking spend, and processing invoices and placing orders, in line with NSPCC

policies and procedures.

Role Purpose

The Legacy Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the legacy marketing programme, including strategy implementation, campaign execution, budget management and performance against KPIs. We’re looking for a Marketing Strategy Analyst to analyse data to measure our campaign performance, audience engagement and return on investment across our marketing and communications activity, and deliver actionable, tangible insights.

What does this role do?

As a Marketing Strategy Analyst, you will:

• lead the design, creation, and ongoing maintenance of a measurement framework for all Marketing and Communications activity, defining KPIs across these metrics, working closely with teams across the division to align on objectives and outcomes,
• manage and optimise the ingestion of multi-channel data feeds into the central data platform, ensuring accurate integration, cleansing, and alignment of data from multiple sources to enable reliable reporting and recommendations,

WHAT THE GLOBAL MARKETING MANAGER ROLE INVOLVES

• Leading the development and delivery of core fundraising and marketing resources – social media, web, email, film, magazine, direct mail appeals, major donor proposals, and church and volunteer resources – providing creative direction, project management and quality assurance throughout.

• Significant experience in integrated marketing communications environment; a charity background is highly desirable.

• Experience applying brand strategy, positioning and execution to grow engagement , and of working with agencies and freelance specialists. 
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign , Photoshop and Premier Pro), with the ability to review and edit creative assets for quality and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills, able to run multiple projects at once without losing quality or pace.

Marketing & PR Manager

About the role

This is a senior role working across the whole Charity, tasked with growing public awareness and support for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Leading on marketing, PR, brand and design, this role will manage relations with media, stakeholders, supporters and the wider public, creating and delivering engaging campaigns, generating support for the Charity, demonstrating impact and increasing income generation.

This is an exciting time to join the Charity as it moves to the next stage in its growth. As part of a busy and ambitious team, this role would suit an experienced, proactive and creative individual with a talent for storytelling and a knowledge of data-driven marketing.

You’ll have strong commercial knowledge, with the ability to apply this to the charity sector; adding value to our existing fundraising activities and impact reporting.   

Key responsibilities include:

Every year CSE's advice service helps thousands of people to cut their energy bills, improve their homes and stay warm. Thousands more struggle with cold homes and unaffordable bills without ever knowing that free, expert advice is available. This role exists to change that.

As Marketing Manager, you will grow awareness of, and referrals to, CSE's energy advice services across both B2B and B2C audiences. You will build relationships with the professionals and community organisations best placed to refer people to us and develop campaigns that reach householders directly.

You will own a sustained marketing plan, produce high-quality materials and measure your impact. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will work closely with colleagues across Communications and our Household Energy Services team. Specific responsibilities
