About the role
As Marketing and Communications Assistant, you will help us tell compelling stories about the work we do and the difference we make to children’s lives. This exciting role would suit someone looking to gain experience in the charity sector and learn more about different areas of marketing and fundraising. Experience of using Adobe InDesign is essential.
Key responsibilities
The workload will be varied and rewarding. Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in developing marketing and fundraising campaigns from concept to completion.
- Design and produce print and digital materials, and support basic video editing.
- Create social media content, schedule posts, and update website content.
- Assist in marketing our mental health services to schools and promoting access to our family centres.
- Work with service teams to design engaging resources to support our work with children and families.
- Contribute to events, deliver presentations and manage communications with supporters.
- Help to distribute gifts and food to hundreds of disadvantaged families at Christmas.

In this new role the Impact and Evaluation Manager will be critical to helping Bite Back demonstrate and strengthen the difference we make for young people, funders, partners, and wider society. You will lead the organisation’s approach to measuring, evaluating and learning from our work – ensuring that youth voice is at the heart of how we design, assess and communicate our impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Theory of Change

Working closely with the CEO to lead Bite Back’s organisational impact strategy, including refining and maintaining our theory of change.

Translating our theory of change into clear outcomes, indicators and learning questions that guide programme design, campaigns and organisational priorities.

Designing and overseeing Bite Back’s impact measurement framework.
Data Systems and Standards
- Leading on the collection, analysis and reporting of both quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring that youth voice and lived experience shape Bite Back’s evaluation approaches.

Supporting the development and monitoring of KPIs across the organisation, providing clear insights and recommendations to the Leadership Team.
Donor monitoring and evaluation

Working with fundraising and programme teams to design robust monitoring, evaluation and learning plans for funding bids, including developing outcomes frameworks, indicators, and evaluation budgets that align with Bite Back’s broader organisational impact framework.

Working closely with the Senior Grants and Fundraising Manager to ensure Bite Back meets its impact and reporting commitments to funders.

The Senior Fundraising and Grants Manager is accountable for:
Fundraising Strategy & Planning

Design, deliver and monitor a values-aligned fundraising strategy, with a primary focus on trusts and foundations.

Identify new income opportunities to support Bite Back’s strategic growth and impact.

Grants from Trusts and Foundations

Lead the processes for securing income from trusts, foundations and institutional funders, from prospect research through to submission, reporting and renewal.

Research, identify and prioritise funding opportunities aligned with Bite Back’s youth-led mission and programmes. Collaborate with internal teams to conduct due diligence to ensure funding sources are aligned with our values.

Prepare and submit high-quality, evidence-led, and compelling grant proposals in collaboration with the CEO, Director of Finance & Operations, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, and programme leads.

Coordinate grant management and tracking: maintain accurate records of deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

Work with the finance team to develop accurate project budgets and ensure financial reporting meets funder expectations and our operational needs.

Produce and submit clear, engaging progress reports to funders that highlight impact, learning, and youth voices.

Monitor grant income and expenditure, ensuring compliance and timely claims against restricted funding.

Work with the Operations and Contracts Manager and the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to develop and improve systems for grant tracking and data integrity within the CRM (Salesforce).

Work closely with the CEO to build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential funders, ensuring high-quality engagement and stewardship.

Coordinate communications, updates, and thank-you processes for donors to encourage repeat and multi-year funding.

For more than ten years, Cambridge Science Centre (CSC) has been sparking
curiosity and a love of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in
young people across the East of England.
Job Description
This role is central to positioning CSC as the leading small-to-medium-sized science
centre and STEM engagement organisation in the UK. Working with the CEO and
Directors, you will help identify opportunities, shape CSC’s marketing strategy, and
translate that into an objective-led plan of action. You will be responsible for all CSC
marketing campaigns and activity, owning the brand and its development across all
key audiences, including the public, community groups, teachers and school leaders,
corporate CSR teams, and educational grant providers.

Key Responsibilities
External Communications
- Collaborate with the team to develop a communications plan to support Cosmic’s calendar of events, income generation and volunteering, taking ownership of its implementation.
- Manage supporter communications through platforms like Mailchimp, including scheduling updates and mail merges.
- Produce and manage the production and distribution of the charity’s supporter newsletter, corporate newsletter, and other direct marketing materials.
- Develop a GDPR compliant method to gather data from families who benefit from Cosmic Service Delivery, to support conversion to fundraising via a Cosmic communication plan and supporter journey
- Create and execute engaging campaigns for Cosmic, based on our service delivery, to generate income.

- Create engaging and consistent digital designs for all marketing materials on Canva.
Branding and Merchandising
- Design and create a new range of fundraising merchandise and marketing materials to promote the Cosmic brand.

Job purpose: To lead and develop Remember A Charity’s marketing and communications programme, in line with our core mission of making legacy giving a social norm. About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you'll shape campaigns, manage digital platforms, and deliver compelling content that brings our vision to life.
What You'll Do
- Lead and deliver innovative marketing and communications campaigns across social media, print, and digital channels.
- Manage and update the website and oversee design agencies for creative assets.
- Produce engaging publications, including the seasonal magazine and bi-monthly e-newsletters.
- Monitor budgets, evaluate campaign impact, and provide strategic advice to senior leaders.
- Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency and creativity in all communications.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below:
- Proven experience in marketing and communications within multi-stakeholder environments (public sector, property, housing, or construction preferred).
- Strong track record of delivering campaigns and using digital multi-channels effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to influence and collaborate.
- Experience managing budgets and external partners.
- Familiarity with WordPress and digital content management.
- Experience in property, regeneration, or placemaking; public sector communications background.

About the Role
As Individual Giving Fundraiser, you will:
- Deliver and continuously improve Raystede’s Individual Giving programme.
- Plan and manage multi-channel campaigns including regular giving, cash appeals, digital fundraising and stewardship journeys.
- Use data and insight to segment audiences, test approaches and optimise performance.
- Oversee supporter journeys to ensure communications are timely, engaging and emotionally compelling.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and external agencies to deliver joined-up campaigns.
- Produce campaign reports, forecasts and actionable insights to support income growth.
- Line-manage a small team, supporting their development and wellbeing.

About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in Individual Giving or fundraising/marketing campaign delivery.
- Strong project management skills and confidence managing multiple deadlines.
- Good CRM/data skills and experience using insight to guide decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to support and motivate others.
- A compassionate, supporter-centred mindset and genuine interest in animal welfare.
Desirable:
- Experience of Regular Giving programmes, email marketing and digital fundraising.
- Experience managing agencies, budgets and reporting processes.
- Relevant fundraising or digital qualifications.
