You will support our Fundraising Director in effective management of the fundraising teams across our UK centres, and the central expertise in Trusts, Major Gifts and Partnerships.
Your responsibilities
- You will support our Fundraising Director in managing and delivering our fundraising objectives and targets for the UK
- Supporting our Fundraising Director in managing, developing and stewarding key high value donor relationships, key stakeholders, and senior volunteers
- Assist our Fundraising Director in managing their workload, managing all mail, correspondence, email and telephone contacts, diary management and travel plans
- You will routinely manage the monthly collecting of reports or data required to produce pipelines and forecasting
- In the absence of the Fundraising Director, you will be responsible for communicating with key stakeholders – utilising their highly developed interpersonal skills to receive and provide complex information

Key Details

- Deal promptly with donations received on a daily basis, following our processes to ensure supporters are appropriately thanked.
- Respond to day-to-day enquiries from Rainforest Trust UK supporters via phone, email and post.
- Support the Fundraising Manager in sending communications to the donor base, utilising content from Rainforest Trust Global, checking for accuracy and ensuring all communications adhere to Rainforest Trust’s brand guidelines.
- Lead on the daily management of Rainforest Trust UK’s social media channels, including scheduling posts and responding to comments/messages.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Role Requirements
Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.
- Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
- Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
- Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
- Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
- Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
- Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
- Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

CAFOD is seeking a Governance Manager to temporarily support our Leadership & Governance team. Reporting directly to CAFOD’s Director and managing the Leadership & Governance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective governance, strategic leadership, and strong Trustee relations during this interim period. Key Responsibilities

Governance & Strategic Leadership
- Providing oversight of CAFOD’s Governance work & assisting in the further development and funding of CAFOD’s governance.

- Working with the relative department heads to advise the Leadership Team on the likely impact of new initiatives on CAFOD’s current strategy.

Engagement & Reporting
- With the Leadership and Governance Officer and L&G Assistant, to support the Director of CAFOD in managing the relationship between the Board of Trustees and Leadership Team.

- Providing strategic guidance and support to CAFOD’s Trustees and Leadership Team

- Assist with the external communication of CAFOD’s governance work with key donors and supporters.
Team Leadership
- Providing management/mentoring to the Leadership & Governance Assistant where applicable.

Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. The Media Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing Independent Age’s media communications programme, including media and PR, social media, celebrities and stories. They will lead the team to secure profile-raising coverage for our work in a range of print, online and broadcast media outlets including national news, consumer, sector-specific, and regional titles, oversee our organic social media and ensure our channels amplify our work and reach older people, decision makers and other influential stakeholders.
The Media Communications Manager will build excellent relationships with older people with lived experience of poverty, ensuring the voices of older people in financial hardship are at the centre of everything we do. They will also grow the organisations relationships with journalists, channel owners, celebrities, ambassadors, and other influencers to ensure that our media communications activity supports our organisational objective to tackle poverty in later life.
You should have broad experience of developing and implementing innovative, successful profile-raising plans (across digital and traditional channels). You will bring an ability to work both proactively and reactively, and experience of handling reputational or crisis issues. You should also have a passion for, and affinity with, the charity’s cause.
