The role
We’re looking for a Volunteer Development Officer to support us in the delivery and development of high quality volunteering across our organisation. You will champion and support volunteering in Citizens Advice and influence the position and profile of volunteering across the service. You’ll work closely with the Head of Volunteering to support the delivery of the new volunteering strategy, ensuring that stakeholders from across the organisation are engaged in its development. You’ll provide operational volunteer management direction and support and maintain high standards in volunteering through the provision of guidance, tools, information and training.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. This project is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. The Heritage Fund is delivering it on behalf of the Welsh Government. 

Do you want to be part of a team leading the field in the development of private investment into nature’s recovery? 

In the past 18 months, The Trusts have been developing new approaches to funding nature’s recovery from the private sector, utilising novel revenue approaches such as nutrient neutrality credits and the voluntary carbon market amongst others. They have developed finance mechanisms to sit alongside these revenue streams such as a philanthropic loan system. They now want to scale up this work to help The Trusts and others to scale nature’s recovery across Wales. They need to turn policy into strong principles that allows us to develop guidelines and templates to help the Trusts across Wales access green finance. 

Our client need dedicated expertise and capacity to work with the Trusts to bring this work into a coherent strategy, develop models and plans that build revenues for nature’s recovery allowing much greater investment. This post is designed to provide that expertise and capacity to work alongside those Trust staff that are already committed to developing these programmes. 

Our client is the central charity which supports the federation of 46 independent Trusts working for nature’s recovery across the UK, Alderney and the Isle of Man. The Trusts’ vision is of a thriving natural world, with abundant wildlife and healthy natural habitats playing a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies, and everyone inspired to take action for nature’s recovery. 

Collectively, The Trusts have more than 900,000 members, employ 3,500 staff, look after over 2,300 nature reserves, operate 123 visitor and education centres and own 29 working farms. They would expect an understanding of the green finance marketplace and that you are comfortable with legal and contract management. Supplier Partnerships Officer

Contract: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £33,233 - £34,894 with excellent benefits

Location: London, UK

Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in London office, or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. About the Team:
The WaterAid Supplier Partnerships team exists to play a central role in supporting our fundraising teams through the effective procurement and management of suppliers servicing the wider fundraising department.

About the Role:
As our Supplier Partnerships Officer, you will look to understand and influence the fundraising operations of WaterAid, including the part our partners play in the print and dispatch of fundraising campaigns, the management of supporter phone calls, the handling of physical donations, and the processing of our online donations.

In this role, you will ensure the successful fulfilment of WaterAid's fundraising campaigns by briefing requirements to our supplier partners as well as monitoring & evaluating their performance in carrying out these requirements.

You'll also:

• Support projects aimed at achieving the most cost-effective and efficient response handling solutions; (in-house vs. outsourcing) contributing towards achieving improved and high-quality supporter experiences
• Ensure invoice spend is accurately charged to WaterAid by reconciling fees and costs against fulfilment reports and tracking ongoing spend
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, ensuring an integrated approach, mutual learning and effective use of resources

About You:

• Experience and/or a sound understanding of account management, working closely with our internal teams and our suppliers
• Excellent time management skills. Proven ability to manage & prioritise own workload, conflicting tasks/ deadlines effectively and successfully
• High attention to detail with ability to work methodically, ensuring minimal errors, and able to problem solve should errors arise
• Ability to analyse fundraiser requirements, and capable of providing the best fulfilment solution working with colleagues and external suppliers

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in the Preston region. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. As well as directly supporting patients, you will raise awareness of the wide range of local and national resources available to kidney patients, and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other stakeholder groups in the region.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the Chelsea Pensioners (known as In-Pensioners). It has a rich history and provides supported accommodation as well as residential and nursing care for approx. 300 retired soldiers. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Hospital Chelsea where we are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Health & Wellbeing team in a new role as Tenancy & Contributions Officer.  

The Tenancy & Contributions Officer will lead on the delivery and continuing evolution of the tenancy agreement (known as the In-Pensioner Agreement). Part of the delivery of the agreement will be coordinating the process of setting and reviewing In-Pensioner’s personal financial contribution to the Royal Hospital. The role also requires the individual to support with benefit applications as required, as well as undertake other housing management related tasks on behalf of the organisation.

In addition, the role is also a core component of the recruitment process for new In-Pensioners being the point of first appeal should a candidate be unsuccessful in their application to join. The role is complex, but we have a vibrant multidisciplinary team that is there to help. This role will add tremendous additional value to how we develop and deliver our services.
