Job description

Could you inspire funders to support the John Muir Trust’s vision of a world where wild places are respected, where nature flourishes, and where the value of wildness is shared for the benefit of everyone?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Trust’s Fundraising team in Edinburgh. This permanent, full-time role will have primary responsibility for raising both core and restricted income from charitable trusts, grants and statutory funders – key income streams for the Trust.

Fundraising has rarely been so important or so challenging; the ongoing pandemic and its effects have increased uncertainty around future fundraising for all charities, so flexibility and experience across other areas of income generation will be useful as the role has the potential to evolve alongside the changing fundraising landscape. There will be opportunities to broaden experience across e.g. corporate fundraising and legacy promotion.

The post is to be based at the Trust’s Edinburgh (Leith) office, but owing to Covid-19 it is expected that some home working will be required.
