Overview and key points on the role  | Rape Crisis South London is looking for 2 part time skilled, passionate and professional Caseworkers who will be based within the Advocacy Service.  As a Caseworker you will support clients through their journey through the housing and benefits system by providing practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence.  You should have a good working knowledge of Housing processes and Welfare benefits systems with experience of carrying out assessments and completing applications.  In addition to having excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills you should also be able to develop key relationships with external agencies such as the local authority.   You should have demonstrable experience working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. We will provide clinical supervision, full training and line management, and the opportunity to develop your skillsets. Responsible to the Advocacy service manager you will be a key member of the advocacy service, working alongside our ISVA’s in a busy and supportive team.

Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner to work within a multi-disciplinary, early intervention Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to increase and improve emotional wellbeing (5-18 years) and mental health provision within education settings.

You will be part of a Third Sector team of colleagues with a variety of qualifications and experiences who are passionate about supporting all children and young people to access the right support at the right time, including where children may have been excluded, have additional needs or are not attending school.

We may also be able to consider applications from qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs), CAMHS practitioners, or other children and young people specialist practitioners with relevant qualifications.

You will have a caseload of children and adolescents with mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and will deliver evidence-based and time limited 1:1 and group interventions, employing the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies). Low intensity interventions (e.g. CBT guided self-help) will be delivered in a range of education settings (primary, secondary, special, alternative provision and sixth form and further education colleges).  Work will include psychoeducation sessions to a range of stakeholders, including children and young people, parents/carers and education staff, promoting a whole school approach to mental health. The role runs throughout the year, and you will be part of our holiday provision, ensuring we can support children all year round.

You will work with people from diverse backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary, and will have a commitment to challenging health inequities, and increasing access to our services for all young people. You will also work closely with colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, education settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers. 

Key Responsibilities

Delivering Interventions and Client Care

• Assess and develop evidence-based intervention plans to meet the mild - moderate needs of CYP with a range of mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties, with the support of your supervisor 
• Work in partnership with children, young people, their families and educators in the development of plans, agreeing interventions, goals and outcomes
• Support children and young people, their parents/carers, families and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties
• Deliver evidence-based, low intensity 1:1 and group interventions for CYP aged 5-25 with mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties
• Ensure that at all times assessment and intervention are provided from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity 
• Undertake accurate assessments of risk to self and others, with support from your supervisor Maintain comprehensive records of all training and intervention activity
• Complete all requirements relating to data collection and report clinical outcomes and service access data into the digital patient record system, CYP IAPTUS
• Adhere to the protocols within the education settings worked in
• Deliver psychoeducation and training workshops and programmes to children, young people, parents/carers and education staff
• Signpost referrals for children and young people with more complex needs to relevant services
• Participate fully in regular 1:1 line-management and clinical supervision
• Practise, evidence, reflect on and demonstrate an ability to manage one’s own caseload in conjunction with the requirements of the service and the team.
• Show evidence of working within a collaborative approach, involving a range of relevant others when indicated. Specifically, work in collaboration with teachers and other education staff, parents, children, young people and the wider community to enhance and broaden access to mental health services
• Contribute to the development of individual or group intervention materials or training materials
• Attending occasional Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings to discuss any young people known to the service
• Monitor and track progress against targets for your caseload and develop plans with your supervisor to reach targets within structured timescales
• Develop a ‘local knowledge’ of the borough and its services and facilities, particularly in relation to mental health issues

Job Summary

Taking a leading role as part of the Individual Giving management team, you play an important part in helping to achieve a step change in the growth of the net voluntary income of St John. The role will work closely across Individual Giving and the wider Fundraising Directorate to develop an evolving supporter acquisition strategy that will aim to recruit new supporters with a focus on digital. The role needs to focus on managing the implementation of the strategy including using insight and data to develop, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate campaigns across a range of channels, with a cutting edge and contemporary approach whilst staying current with the continuously changing legislation and support climate. Responsibilities include working with agencies and suppliers to project manage the full cycle of direct marketing campaigns.

About You

• Significant experience in a third sector direct marketing role
• Track record in managing effective digital campaigns on a national or regional basis
• Experience of using fundraising databases e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
• Extensive experience of using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email social media, direct mail, telemarketing and SMS
• Experience of leading a revenue generating team, including generation of six figure acquisition income

• Oversee the supporter acquisition programme, taking responsibility for outstanding donor recruitment with the highest standard of quality and compliance and ensuring a diverse programme mix; ensuring they are in market on time, on budget and on brand.
• Develop an annual plan of acquisition activity; monitoring and analysing all campaign results, with ongoing test and learn mechanisms in place to drive continuous improvement and making recommendations for future activity to effectively maximise income and ROI
• Working collaboratively with key fundraising and data teams; lead the development and continuous improvement of new supporter product development
• Strong agency relationship management across a variety of partners and suppliers, from building relationships and negotiating to contract and routine performance reviews
• Lead on all KPI tracking, trend analysis and interrogation of results at all levels; including programme optimisation to ensure targets are met and contingency planning as required.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative psychologist to join our warm and friendly team at our Dose of Nature hub in Surrey. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive funding to expand our reach, particularly increasing accessibility to our service for clients living in the Waverley area.

We are seeking a psychologist with passion for the natural world and there is great potential for the psychologist to lead on areas in which we seek to develop and expand. The post-holder would be closely supported by the psychology team, as well as the wider team, to do so.

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature.  We deliver ‘Nature Prescriptions’ to adults (aged 18+) referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.

Our Dose of Nature Prescription is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing.  Dose of Nature is a fun, supportive and lively organisation that encourages creativity and independence, as well as a strong sense of working together as a team.

The nature of the role requires occasional evenings and weekends to cover monthly volunteer training evenings and social events as necessitated by the needs of the charity.

Key Responsibilities 

Clinical 

• To carry out psychological assessments of clients referred to the service, to reach a psychological formulation of the client’s difficulties and understand their wider contextual needs, and to support those clients throughout their journey with Dose of Nature, offering ad-hoc support where needed.
• To subsequently pair clients with an appropriate volunteer Nature Guide who then delivers the Dose of Nature Prescription.
• To review clients at the end of their Dose of Nature Prescription and ensure that those clients who would like to and / or need to, maintain connection with Dose of Nature by attending groups, social events, and through ad-hoc support.
• To maintain relationships with GP practices and other referrers, and to inform them of client progress.
• To support the Clinical Lead to offer workshops and presentations to other agencies, professional colleagues and in the wider community.
• To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals, staff members and volunteers contributing to a client’s recovery.
• To undertake risk assessment, formulation, and management of clients and to provide advice to the Dose of Nature team on psychological aspects of risk assessment, formulation, and management.

Teaching, Training, and Supervision

• To receive and provide regular clinical supervision.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Accountability for delivering income through our high-value partners while driving partnership development and ensuring an excellent supporter experience.

· Set ambitious, strategic goals to grow and retain our highest-value partnerships. You will do this by setting and delivering robust engagement and retention programmes for these partnerships. 

· Gain and maintain the buy-in of internal stakeholders (including the Senior Leadership Team), who will be crucial to the delivery and growth of our partnerships.

· Work with the Senior Partnership Development Manager (SPDM) to plan, implement, and deliver the Corporate Team strategy. You will be responsible for the operational performance of the team.

· Communicate this strategy and drive fundraising at all levels.

· Ensure all activity and use of team resources are focused on taking Alzheimer’s Research UK towards a cure. This means activity should align with our ten-year strategy and organisational priorities.

· Manage annual income, expenditure budgets and targets for corporate partnerships alongside the SPDM. Prepare income projections and monitor income and expenditure, as well as developing measurable KPIs that translate into tangible partnership benefits.

· Ensure effective reporting of wider partnership impact specifically non-financial benefits.

Leading the team

· Empower the team to provide sector leading customer service to our corporate partners to grow all partnerships to support ARUK’s strategic priorities.

· Drive the success of the team through effective and inspiring leadership to ensure a highly motivated team that achieves or exceeds targets agreed with the SPDM and Head of Corporate Partnerships.

· Ensure the highest quality tools and resources are available to our team for maximum engagement.

Communications

· Ensure your team maintains a good understanding of the new business pipeline to plan resources accordingly.

· Grow and develop strong relationships between the Partnership Development team and the wider Corporate Team.

Additional Information:

The BDA is seeking a new Research Manager to work as part of the Education and Professional Practice Team, leading on the research and impact activities of professional dietetic practice. The role will also provide line management within the team.

The role will suit a candidate with a sound understanding and experience of the breadth of dietetic practice and research, and the factors that influence it. We are looking for somebody who is an expert in research methodologies, and appraisal and is comfortable setting and influencing research strategy.  Ideally we would like somebody who has or is studying for their doctorate in dietetics and experience working in a practice setting would be advantageous. Job Purpose

This role sits within our Adult Services, across Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing, Hounslow. You will be responsible for the operational delivery and service development, of a portfolio of services. Namely (but subject to change):

• Safe Space Community Drop In Service 
• Hounslow Helpline
• Nova Roots (Forensic Community Hub)

One large service you will be responsible for is our crisis alternative service – Safe Space - which is a tri-borough core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00 across all of our boroughs. You will be responsible for managing peripatetic teams: we currently have 3x in person Safe Spaces, a Helpline and a Forensic Community You’re your portfolio may expand as new services are acquired.

Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis. 

The objectives of the service include: 

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH. 

• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA) 

• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients 

• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning. 

• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing. 

• To remain a source of independent support for all clients. 

• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support 

• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation 

• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service 

• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis via a drop-in service. 

• To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual. 

The Role

The role of the Crisis Alternative Service Manager will provide operational management, mobilisation and service development of all Crisis’ Services within Adult Services. The ideal candidate will have experience of mobilising and developing high quality, large services. In addition to managing and supporting staff working within challenging environments and experience of working with challenging behaviour and complex needs. The Service Manager will hold all operational risk.

Excellent organisation and decision-making skills are essential for this role, as it requires being able to manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines and work unsupervised during evenings and weekends. You will also be required to be rostered into the on-call rota.

The Crisis Alternative Service Manager will be required to work collaboratively with the Director of Adult Services and will be proficient at communicating effectively with staff at all levels, a wide range of key stakeholders and service users. They will ensure the service is well resourced from a staffing perspective and embed high-quality operational plans and processes. The Service Manager will also be expected to build and sustain working relationships with statutory services and represent HFEH Mind at external meetings.

They will be responsible for the delivery, progression and continual improvement of the service. They will have responsibility for ensuring Crisis Services operate in line with organisational H&S processes and procedures, HFEH Mind policies and CQC requirements

Key Responsibilities

· To oversee the management of the Crisis Alternative Drop-in Services and other services, in line with organisational values and service quality expectations.

· To ensure all risks are recognised and mitigated in line with the serious incident and safeguarding policies.

· To ensure safe working and risk management

· To ensure feedback is provided on risk mitigation through serious incident reports.

· To continually drive enhancements to operational effectiveness and maximise outcomes against targets (key performance indicators)

· To complete audits and high quality reports for senior internal and external stakeholders

· To ensure interpret performance and impact data for crisis services and be responsible for reporting against service targets

· To provide effective line management supervision to Team Managers, Senior Support workers and Support Workers where applicable.

· To mobilise the crisis services in line with agreed project plans and ensure they are promoted and marketed well.

· To develop robust referral routes and pathways into the service with both statutory and non-statutory bodies.

· To ensure excellence in the recruitment, training and ongoing support of staff and volunteers where applicable.

· To support the Deputy Manager, Team Managers to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing at all times within the service.

The Snowdrop Project is the first organisation in the UK to provide long-term, community based support to survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. We aim to empower survivors of modern slavery and exploitation to recover from their experiences and thrive. Each year, our casework team engages with over 150 individuals and their dependents to provide trauma-informed advocacy, advice and support towards independence. Last year we began gradually recruiting the consultancy services of regional clinical leads in each of the 7 regions in England, to help us deliver this new model.
