Turquoise Mountain is a British charity that was founded in 2006. We believe artisanal heritage matters and has the power to transform lives. We support artisans to thrive and to revitalise traditions in regions of the world where artisanal heritage is endangered, and to connect people through heritage.
Turquoise Mountain is a fast-growing organisation with offices in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, and the Levant, and with over 400 international and local staff members worldwide. We combine a cultural heritage focus with a wide scope of activities; we support artisans to thrive and to revitalize their traditions by any means necessary, and to connect people across the world through heritage. The places where we work are complex and sometimes affected by conflict.
Sound financial records and prudent management of our finances is core to everything we undertake. We have a small central Finance team that closely works with in-country Finance Teams. Because we, as part of our charitable mission, promote the sale of artisan goods to international markets, Turquoise Mountain has a trading subsidiary and also engages independent trading entities in the countries in which it is active. This means our Finance focus covers both charity and commercial, across different jurisdictions, and with culturally diverse teams. This makes the Head of Global Finance role a diverse one, that requires the ability to switch quickly, to build strong relationships, to lead and guide, whilst maintaining spotless financial records and financial compliance and providing senior management with the information and transparency it needs to make strategic decisions.
This is an exciting time to join TM, as we expand our operations and implement best-practices, the opportunity is there for someone who is committed to capacity building and leading a team through positive change.

Our work is needed now more than ever before. This is why we have embarked on an exciting new strategy to make tackling low numeracy an urgent, national issue. However, we will only achieve significant and lasting change by engaging other organisations to support and fund our work.
We work with a wide range of partners: from corporate supporters and charitable trusts and foundations to employers, such as the NHS, unions, charities and the government. All of this is supported by a fantastic staff team, a highly active Board of Trustees and the National Numeracy Leadership Council.
We have an exciting new role for a skilled partnerships fundraiser to join our supportive team. You will spot and develop opportunities to establish new partnerships, as well as manage and help develop our group of amazing partners.
This role would suit a fundraising or partnerships executive, or equivalent, looking to step up, or it could be a great opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge and keen to take the lead on an increasing number of innovative, high-profile national partnerships.
You’ll need to communicate the vital importance of our goals in a way that persuades organisations to work with and, crucially, to fund our work. New business development and ongoing relationship management are crucial as we seek to establish long-term partners and sustainable income streams for the organisation. As Partnerships Manager, you will play an important role in realising our vision.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, a self-starter and able to use their own initiative to generate ideas as well as leads. It’s not imperative that you come from the charity sector as long as you can show us that you have relevant transferable skills and an understanding of what it takes to be successful in this role. We welcome applications from people who may have struggled with maths and numbers and have a personal understanding of the experiences of our beneficiaries.
National Numeracy is based near Brighton but with significant home working potential. The expectation is that you will be in the office occasionally when the work requires it, but we offer significant flexibility opportunities. The role may include regular travel to London and beyond.
We welcome applications from candidates looking to work either four or five days per week.
Applications without a cover letter detailing why you want to work for National Numeracy and detailing the ways in which you are a good fit for the role will not be accepted.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months with likely extension, full time, 37.5 hours a week. 0.8 FTE will be considered. We are happy to explore secondment or hosting arrangements with likeminded organisations, in the UK or internationally.

About INTRAC
INTRAC exists to promote positive social change. We do this by strengthening the wider ecosystems of civil society support and also by supporting civil society organisations themselves. Through our collaborations we intend that these organisations can develop, engage with others, and do what they want to do, better. We have a global network of consultants delivering ethical and values-driven consultancy in areas such as organisational change and MEL. We also have a well-regarded training service offering open and in-house training.
About the role
As Network Development Coordinator you will play an essential part in building INTRAC’s network. This involves a range of duties to enable our network offer, focused on four broad areas:
· Coordinating a range of learning activity, exchange and community building
· Gathering insight, evidence, collective analysis for marketing and influencing
· Coordinating professional development support
· Brokering relationships and supporting consultancy opportunities
We are looking for a versatile and dynamic individual, passionate about connecting, working with and learning from people across different contexts, committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. You will have experience working with or as part of networks and can demonstrate experience in building relationships, bringing people together to share perspectives and learn online. You should enjoy gathering and analysing information and telling impactful stories. You should have an interest in supporting civil society, social justice, and have energy and an eye for detail.
In return we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and the opportunity to work with an ethical and values-based non-for-profit organisation focused on positive social change.
