What You’ll Be Doing
As our Individual Giving Assistant – Supporter Acquisition, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our fundraising campaigns and projects, helping to recruit new supporters to the Charity. You’ll be one of the first points of contact for our donors, providing exceptional supporter care and ensuring every supporter feels valued. Your day-to-day will include:
- Responding to supporter enquiries by phone, email and in-person, ensuring all queries are handled efficiently and with care.
- Thanking donors and personalising communications to build strong relationships and ensuring a positive and lasting first impression.
- Accurately recording and processing donations, and updating supporter records on our database.
- Supporting the delivery of fundraising campaigns, including creating timing plans, proofreading copy and assiting with briefs.
- Managing invoices and helping with campaign reporting.
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks.
- Working with colleagues and volunteers to deliver the best possible supporter experience.

The Student Volunteering & Social Impact Coordinator leads the coordination of London Play Design’s Student Volunteering Programme, working closely with delivery/ Technical teams, partnerships staff and senior management.
This role focuses on connecting people, projects and learning, rather than carrying sole responsibility for delivery. The post-holder coordinates systems, supports students and ensures quality, while working as part of a wider team.
The role is designed to be manageable, collaborative and sustainable, with clear shared ownership of outputs.
The role operates across two interconnected strands:
Student learning, insight and impact
Supporting students to understand the social impact of London Play Design’s work, contribute to evaluation and learning, and help strengthen partnerships through the development of case studies and programme insights.
Practical delivery and capacity-building
Connecting students with hands-on opportunities that build their practical experience while supporting the delivery of corporate volunteer days, construction activity and community projects.
What You Will Do
1. Coordinate the Student Volunteering Programme
You will oversee the day-to-day coordination of the programme, ensuring students have a clear, supportive and meaningful experience.
This includes:
- Coordinating student recruitment, onboarding and induction
- Developing clear volunteering pathways, role descriptions and learning outcomes
- Acting as the main point of contact for student volunteers
- Monitoring engagement, attendance and well-being in collaboration with on-site teams
- Supporting continuous programme improvement as part of a team, not in isolation
On-site supervision and safeguarding are led by delivery staff. You will not be expected to supervise students independently on live sites.
2. Support Research, Learning & Social Impact (with students)
You will coordinate and quality-check student-led research and impact work, rather than producing it yourself.
Your role will be to:
- Support students to collect qualitative and quantitative data
- Guide students in drafting case studies, learning notes and impact stories
- Review work, give feedback and ensure clarity and consistency
- Coordinate publication processes alongside the Partnerships team or delegated student roles
- Share learning internally to support organisational development
- Supporting funding applications and reporting with structured evidence and insights
You will not be responsible for writing funding applications or producing full reports independently.
3. Connect Students to Live Projects
You will work with internal teams to place students on appropriate projects for learning and case-study purposes, and support volunteer days and construction delivery
This includes:
- Matching students to projects and departments
- Liaising with technical and Partnership teams to support access and information
- Connecting students with partner charities where appropriate
- Keeping student case-study activity on track
- Working with the technical team to align student support with project needs
- Balancing learning needs with delivery realities
4. Maintain University Partnerships
London Play Design already has established relationships with a small number of universities (typically 2–3).
You will:
- Maintain communication with university contacts
- Represent the organisation at a small number of events or talks each year (approx. 3–4)
- Support the ongoing development of placement and volunteering opportunities.
5. Support Communications & Storytelling (Shared Responsibility)
Working with student volunteers and the Partnerships team, you will support:
- Clear and accessible communication of London Play Design’s work
- Impact storytelling for websites, publications and social media
- Sharing community learning and project outcomes
You will not be the sole content producer or final editor for all communications.

As Administration and Membership Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the Neurological Alliance runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally. ROLE PURPOSE:
Join ShelterBox as our Website Copywriter and Editor and take the lead in generating ideas, writing and creating engaging content for our portfolio of websites. You'll be responsible for crafting top-quality web copy and building web pages that look beautiful and perform brilliantly.
This is a creative and strategic role. In addition to paying attention to how our websites look and feel, you will plan our content strategy, use SEO and user experience principles in your writing and be able to spot user trends and share insights.
You'll join a friendly and ambitious team, playing a key role in helping to make ShelterBox a global name. The role offers variety, working with other teams within the organisation to deliver a range of strategic projects.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
ShelterBox is looking for a creative and proactive individual with at least 2 years of experience working in copywriting or website content production. If you have a knack for spotting digital trends, engaging audiences and testing new approaches, then we want to hear from you!
The ideal candidate will have:
- Writing Skills: You should have a proven track record of crafting digital copy and comfortable with demonstrating the impact and conversions it has driven. You should be adept at tailoring your writing style to different audiences, whether you're explaining complex international issues or crafting persuasive fundraising appeals.
- Strategic Mindset: You should be able to interpret analytics data to understand what content works well and adapt the website accordingly
- Attention to Detail: Your content should be engaging, accurate and aligned with our brand voice.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Content Creation
- Produce engaging, high quality web copy that truly connects with our audiences and converts
- Design, write and create impactful web pages with compelling content to boost engagement and drive donations for our fundraising and communication campaigns
- Ensure all webpages are visually appealing and aligned with our brand guidelines and tone of voice
- Plan and deliver the ShelterBox blog to increase engagement and organic traffic
- Regularly update and maintain current website content, including case studies, country pages, and evergreen content, ensuring all information is current and performing well
- Provide ideas for new web pages and copy based on SEO opportunities and industry trends
- Work closely with digital and fundraising communications teams to provide content and plan UX journeys for email and social channels
- Provide training to fundraising teams to develop their web copywriting skills
Planning, Testing and Auditing
- Contribute to our website content plans which meets user needs, attracts new visitors to the website and improves SEO and conversion rates
- Conduct SEO keyword research and monitor search rankings across the website
- Identify areas for improvement across in current website content and introduce new, engaging content which works to improve conversions and user experience
- Build tests and implement learnings into content plans, using split testing and optimisation tools
- Ensure website content is meeting user needs by running web surveys, putting the user at the heart of our content strategy
- Use data analytics tools like ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4) and Hotjar to analyse web content performance and optimise supporter journeys
- Share insights and best practice with wider teams so they know what is working well and how to improve
International support
- Support our network of affiliate websites, by monitoring their content, prompting and helping those teams to update their pages
- Share our high-quality web content across all affiliate networks
- Support teams to improve quality of content with SEO training and recommendations
- Share best practice insights, advice and training to all affiliate teams

As our Donor Development Lead, through testing, learning and optimising, you will work with colleagues across Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) to deliver a programme of offline and online products and campaigns (including appeals, newsletters and bespoke touchpoints) to existing supporters to generate income through one-off, regular giving and legacy income.
