The Head of Philanthropy will lead on day-to-day fundraising across individual giving, memberships, appeals and campaigns for Leeds Playhouse. This role is central to building and sustaining a robust philanthropic programme, with a particular focus on developing a strong pipeline of mid- and high-level donors, cultivating and stewarding High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), and driving engagement through compelling communications and events.

The Head of Philanthropy will play a key role in shaping and delivering sustainable income growth through individual giving, and major donor engagement—ensuring our work is resourced for the long term.

The post-holder will report to the Strategic Director of Fundraising & Development, deputising as required, and will line manage the Development Administrator. This role is predominantly based at Leeds Playhouse with some scope for hybrid working, complementing the Strategic Director role (a part-time role, mostly working remotely).

This is a permanent, full time contract. We would like to fill a requirement for 35 hours per week, which is full-time for this role, with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. However, we are open to hearing from people interested in part-time work or job sharing. Pay for the role is £35,700 per year based on 35 hours per week.

Purpose of the post

The Business Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of AHS. This position focuses on the practical delivery and coordination of operations including implementing processes, maintaining systems, and supporting teams to work efficiently to deliver a longitudinal study. Acting as a central point for administration, the postholder will help keep our operations organised, identify and escalate issues as they arise, and ensure that processes and activities run seamlessly across our remote organisation.

About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Main responsibilities

 Operational Delivery and Implementation

· Provide hands-on support to teams and managers in rolling out new tools, systems and operational processes that are critical for the success of the longitudinal study

· Support the smooth, day-to-day running of business operations, ensuring tasks and processes are completed efficiently

In addition to direct support through one of our many communications channels, your clinical experience will help us to further our charitable aims, developing additional strategic services supported by our team of staff, trustees and volunteers, many of whom have been through life changing surgery themselves.

As someone who is flexible in their approach and is prepared to think outside of the box, each day will offer a different challenge. Whether you are representing IA at external meetings, on various multi-disciplinary committees or advocating for improvements in products and services available to people living with a stoma and internal pouch, your strong voice and stakeholder management skills will represent both the charity and the voice of the patient.

These include management of the donor database (Beacon CRM), support with bookkeeping and reconciliation, handling charitable giving for our projects, and processing invoice payments to suppliers.
• Part-time (c. 20 hrs/wk): The role would focus on communications, fundraising, and donor care. Finance, accounting, and governance tasks would be handled by our external Accountant partner.

Muslim Aid is a UK faith-based international development organisation that provides support to communities around the world affected by disasters, conflict, or endemic poverty without regard to their social, religious, or ethnic background. 

Established in 1985, Muslim Aid has facilitated the engagement of the British Muslim and non-Muslim community in support of its work in a variety of ways. Over the years, its humanitarian work has included responses to major crises around the world including, famine in East Africa, earthquakes and flooding in Pakistan and Bangladesh as well as conflicts in Syria and Yemen.

Summary of the role:

The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role:

1. Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
2. Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
3. Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
4. Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
5. Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
6. Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

About You:

You must currently hold the right to work in the UK. Muslim Aid is not offering sponsorship for this role.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Experience of organising and coordinating meetings and events.
2. Proven office administrative experience.
3. Proven experience supporting senior leaders.
4. Ability to manage your time and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and maintain a structured workflow.
5. Ability to utilise task management tools to track progress, set reminders, and monitor completion of tasks and projects.
6. Ability to effectively communicate with team members and all stakeholders to relay information and ensure alignment on goals and objectives.

Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity for a creative and proactive individual with extensive data and evaluation experience to join us as our Senior Partnership and Innovation Officer. 

In this role, you will work within the Smallshaw-Hurst Children's Community (SSH CC), collaborating not only with children and families but also with parents, local schools and teachers, universities, and community organisations to drive meaningful, sustainable change. You'll lead innovative, evidence-informed initiatives that strengthen the community and improve outcomes for children and young people across Tameside. 

This role is for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover).

About the role
As the Senior Partnership & Innovation Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering community-led, collaborative projects that improve outcomes for children, families, and the wider community. Working closely with the SSH CC CEO, you will help strengthen partnerships across Tameside, Greater Manchester and beyond, supporting local innovation and sharing evidence and learning that informs wider policy and practice. 

In this role, you will: 

• Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of community groups, organisations, partnerships and networks across the Children's Community, Greater Manchester and nationally. 
• Support the development and delivery of SSH CC's local systems-change and innovation agenda. 
• Capture and share learning from local delivery to support national influence, including creating case studies, events, and resources. 
• Share insights and identify opportunities to scale community-led best practice. 
• Develop and manage effective communication strategies to raise SSH CC's visibility and celebrate community achievements. 

About you 
To be successful, you will have: 

• A strong background in engaging with families and communities to co-develop strategies and programmes. 
• Proven experience of building and maintaining multi-stakeholder relationships and partnerships in educational, community, or local authority settings. 
• Proven ability to design and lead innovative projects or programmes that drive change. 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across audiences and platforms. 
• Strong understanding and application of digital tools for data collection, analysis, and communications (e.g. websites, social media). 
• A sound understanding of the impact of poverty on families and the systemic barriers communities face.
