We are seeking a skilled Programme Officer to support the end-to-end delivery of our sector-leading mentoring programme, ensuring participants join smoothly and are supported throughout. You will also support partners and donors to contribute to the delivery and expansion of the programme. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Main Responsibilities:

Campaign Development and Management:

• Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that align with the Charity's objectives and resonate with our target audience.

• Monitor brand mentions and sentiment online.
• Conduct periodic brand audits.
• Champion the Charity's brand values and mission.
• Set up tracking mechanisms and analytics tools to monitor campaign performance.
• Analyse data to assess campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.

Events Officer

About the role

The Events Officer plays a key role in our highly effective communications team, leading on the delivery of an impactful programme of events – both online and in person. The role works with teams from across the organisation to plan, deliver and promote all types of events, including workshops, roundtables, conferences, webinars, receptions and other types of online and in person events.

Events are an important way for Ageing Better to influence priority audiences, including businesses and local and national government, and the postholder will advise teams on how events can best reach these audiences, encourage engagement and lead to lasting relationships.

This role sits within the Communications team, and the postholder will be responsible for drafting comms content, such as blogs and social media posts, particularly in relation to event promotion.

About you

You are highly organised, with excellent prioritisation and project management skills, enabling you to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. You have good attention to detail and enjoy planning, solving logistical problems and delivering events to a tight budget.

You are a good communicator and are comfortable working in close partnership with colleagues and dealing with a wide range of people.

You will have experience of organising events, including technical experience of managing online events and streaming.

The Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) is an affiliate What Works Centre, and part of the UK Government’s What Works Movement. Our vision is to eliminate equality gaps in higher education (HE). Our mission is to improve lives through evidence-informed practice.

TASO was set up in 2019 and became an independent charity in April 2021. Our work focuses on the generation, synthesis and dissemination of high-quality evidence about effective practice in widening participation and student outcomes. We primarily focus on developing and disseminating causal evidence. 

The Role

The Head of Communications and Engagement will lead TASO’s communications and engagement work plan to raise the profile of the organisation. They will also lead on TASO’s evidence mobilisation work plan, working with the Chief Executive, to ensure TASO’s research and evaluation outputs are effectively disseminated. 

This will involve ensuring a strategic approach to all communications activities, leading on the delivery of external-facing materials and publications, overseeing a vibrant social media presence and events programme. The role will have overall responsibility for a website redevelopment project over the next year. 

• Ensure a strategic and effective approach to communications, dissemination and stakeholder engagement.

• Lead on the design, branding and dissemination of innovative and engaging communications – both print and online, including oversight of the editorial and publication process for all TASO research reports and resources. 

• Lead on TASO’s evidence mobilisation plan, working with the Chief Executive and Research and Evaluation Team to ensure research outputs are effectively disseminated and achieve impact.

• Support the Chief Executive on delivering TASO’s policy aims. Lead on engagement with and monitoring of Westminster activities (e.g. select committees, reports, consultations) and liaise with key communications and policy stakeholders in the Department for Education, Office for Students and other relevant bodies.

• Take overall responsibility for TASO’s online and social media presence. This will involve overseeing a critical website redevelopment project over the next year and also includes oversight of the creation, upkeep and management of digital channels and content.

• Lead on TASO’s media relations, producing high quality press releases and news stories for the website, liaising with journalists, as appropriate.

• Lead on the delivery of a programme of stakeholder engagement events for a wide range of audiences. The events will range from small training sessions to larger events including publication launches and an annual conference.

• Provide line management for communications staff who will support all activities – including two direct reports and overseeing a team of three. 

• Undertake projects and duties as required or requested by the Chief Executive or broader team.

We’re looking for a creative and confident Content & Communications Coordinator to join our busy Marketing & Communications Team at Imperial College Union. This new role will be key in strengthening our online presence and improving student engagement with the Union. The successful candidate will manage our social media channels and content to drive two-way conversations, to increase awareness of the Union’s work, and help us better understand what they care about.

You will be our in-house journalist; planning and delivering content that speaks to our varied audiences. You’ll build strong relationships across the Union and College, writing creative copy and curating innovative social media content. Using your in-depth knowledge of social media, you will be aware of emerging trends across all platforms and create content that attracts and retains the interest and attention of our members. You will work closely with colleagues across the Union, including our elected Officer Trustees, to support them to reach more students and deliver key messages. Duties and responsibilities

Content Planning

• To assist in the creation of communications and content plans to support the Marketing & Engagement Manager in the delivery of key Union marketing activity, such as Welcome Week and election.
• In partnership with the Marketing & Engagement Manager devise a social schedule to ensure regular, timely and impactful content across these channels
• Build networks with student groups, the Union’s newspaper (Felix) and external partners to develop opportunities for content collaboration
• Utilise student feedback and engagement with Union content to continue to improve and develop our output and channels
• Work with the Student Officer team to promote their public profiles and provide support on their campaigns.
• Stay up to date with what’s happening across the Union, College, the city and wider student movement to stay current and spot positive PR opportunities and content.

Content Creation & Curation

• Ensure timely, relevant and engaging content for Union channels & platforms, including blogs, website, social media and news
• Write, proof and edit a variety of digital communications across the organisation, such as blogs and web content to ensure brand and tone of voice is consistent and correct
• Attend student events to capture photos and videos content to use for marketing purposes and provide live social media coverage to a high standard
• Work with Designer to turn copy into engaging, high quality assets
• Have your finger on the pulse for all latest trends for the student audience and evaluate their feasibility without audiences and available resources
• Be aware of shareable, engaging content, sourcing content from external channels to build an engaged following and boost our content on social media
• Establish and work with student and staff social ambassadors in gathering stories and content

General

• Regularly monitor and report on content to inform improvements and innovations
• Monitor and moderate social posts and comments and respond or escalate in line with the Union’s Crisis Comms plan

Essential requirements

• Experience of developing and delivering communications plans campaigns with clear metrics of success
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools to help monitor and generate useful reports and insights
• Experience in managing content calendars
• Experience of, or strong understanding of, producing web content and an organisation’s social media presence
• Writing copy, editing, and proofreading for online media, demonstrating excellent attention to detail 
• Monitoring the effectiveness of communications activity and able to present appropriate recommendations for improvement and innovation
• Good software knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
• Strong understanding of social media channels and their tools

Scope of the role: 

The Digital Content & Communications Officer is responsible for creating content across FEI’s communications channels, inspiring individuals organisations alike to get involved in the face equality movement. 

This is an exciting new role within the organisation and the ideal candidate will be creative, passionate about communications, content and digital and looking to build their expertise in a growing organisation with a global footprint. The role will be varied and the successful candidate will have the chance to work across a variety of key communications activities, with a primary focus on social media.

There will be freedom for creativity and trying out new ideas, with a focus on personal development through training and ongoing support by working closely with the newly promoted Campaigns Manager who previously fulfilled a similar role.

About Face Equality International: 

Face Equality International works to mobilise an alliance of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), charities and support groups to further the campaign for ‘face equality’.

Responsibilities 
 

• Social media – Written, graphic and video content to be produced to support FEI’s mission. With the support from the Campaigns Manager, the Communications Officer will lead on developing engaging content to amplify the voices of the facial difference community. Accessible content standards are essential.  
   

• Graphic/video editing – Using tools such as Canva or CapCut to create and edit content.  
   

• Website updates – All FEI staff have access and responsibility to collectively update our WordPress site in line with their role.
   

• Copywriting – Creating content for social media primarily with the addition of blogs and other written marketing materials on occasion.  
   

• Engagement – Community management and engagement via online channels, including influencer outreach.  
   

• Monitoring and evaluation – using analytics to track impact.

Past experience: 

• Experience of producing content for digital channels is essential.  

• Experience of copywriting is essential.

Knowledge and skills:

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Baca, a fantastic charity supporting young unaccompanied refugees in the East Midlands and East of England. It is Baca’s mission to serve young people who have been forced to flee their home countries – offering safe homes and holistic care to inspire hope and enable them to develop independence and build a better future.

The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for Baca’s fundraising and communications activity.

Given the fluctuating nature of statutory income (currently c.75% of total income) it will be the responsibility of the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to diversify its income portfolio, ensuring a sustainable funding model that spreads risk and allows for greater donor engagement.

There is a blank canvas to be creative and try new things, with lots of scope for the successful applicant to determine where the network opportunities might lie, build long term relationships and develop an exciting programme of external communications and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of organisational objectives.
• Develop, lead and deliver the fundraising strategy – focused on diversification and sustainable income whilst remaining hands on in the establishment of new income streams.

Person Specification:

• Proven expertise of fundraising across different income streams (e.g. trusts and foundations, community, regional, philanthropy). Expertise of developing new income streams from scratch/a low base would be beneficial but not essential.
• Relational approach – focused on developing long term commitments and support from key stakeholders and donor audiences.
• Experience of working in a communications role/closely with communications teams to maximise the opportunities to engage externally and increase support/awareness.
• Creative approach to fundraising, with realistic ambitions within a small charity environment.

Salary: £34,834 starting salary (salary range will increase to a max £37,336 via the length of service) per annum pro rata plus £4,087.65 Inner London Weighting if based in London per annum pro rata.

Hours: Full-time. 35 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks). Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu should be claimed.

The Individual Giving Officer will play a crucial role in nurturing relationships with individuals, to give their donations and their time, to make a difference to the people with dyslexia that we support.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and upgrade individual donors, ensuring a steady and growing stream of funding and support for the charity.

Main duties and responsibilities

· Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors to maximize financial support and our community of supporters.

· Plan and execute individual giving campaigns, across all available communication channels to engage donors effectively.

· Identify, organise and coordinate donor and community events, creating opportunities to engage, retain and celebrate supporters.

· Maintain accurate donor records, utilising data to inform decision-making and improve fundraising efforts.

· Prepare regular reports and analysis on individual giving performance.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive individual giving strategy.

· Ensure activities are delivered to budget and performance effectively tracked.

· Provide a monthly report to the Head of Fundraising

· Work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Trusts Fundraiser, PR & Communications Officer, Fundraising Administrator and CEO, and liaise with the rest of the charity’s team.

· Compliance: maintain accurate records in accordance with data protection and fundraising regulations.

· Strategy: play a part in assisting the Head of Fundraising and Chief Executive in developing the Fundraising Strategy, budget and targets in line with the charity’s Strategic Plan.

· Provide support with events and admin as needed, including attendance at functions outside of normal working hours.  

Ideal skills and experience:

· Experience in generating income from all or one or two of the following: individual, community and events fundraising. 

· Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write compelling stories and innovative content for fundraising campaigns.

· A strong understanding of the importance of knowing your supporter base to maximise income through effective donor communication and engagement.

· Strong data management and analysis skills

· Good knowledge of current data protection/GDPR regulation.

· Good working knowledge of CRM databases and how to utilise to steward supporters.

· Good level of administrative and organisational competency

· Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases (currently Donorfy and Act!)

·Previous experience working in a charity/non-profit

· Willingness to attend events and meetings etc, for which expenses will be paid.

Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is recruiting to two internship positions: one focused on Communications and the other on supporting local churches to build relationships with their MPs.

You would be working as part of a small ecumenical team on a diverse range of tasks and initiatives including communications, policy, campaigning and supporter engagement, contributing to the public advocacy and political engagement work of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.

About JPIT

JPIT is a partnership between the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, and the Church of Scotland is an associate partner. Its purpose is to help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. It is a team which brings together around ten staff from across the denominations. In recent years it has focused on issues around poverty, the economy, refugees and migration, the environment, peace and conflict, and politics.

The Internships

Key Tasks

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all high value fundraising activity, including proposals, applications, and donor interactions, and be able to regularly report this activity back to the Head of Philanthropy.

• Manage a portfolio of low-mid level prospects and existing donors, developing clear strategies to cultivate relationships and secure continued philanthropic support of £1,000 to £10,000. Ensure all donors in the assigned portfolio are provided stewardship and take responsibility for contacts and annual work plan.

• Develop and deliver a programme of cultivation, stewardship and recognition low-mid level donors and prospects, proactively seeking opportunities to improve the chances of securing repeat gifts through bespoke communications and consistent stewardship.

• Support the Head of Philanthropy and wider High Value Team with stewardship and cultivation of donors and key contacts. These activities may include virtual events, stewardship events, proposal development, annual reporting, and direct marketing appeals.

• Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system for all existing and prospective donors within High Value Giving liaising with the Finance and Administrative team to ensure reconciliation with financial record.

• Work closely with the Philanthropy team and other colleagues to maximise all opportunities and support a dynamic, successful, and professional team

• Ensure that data security is maintained and that legal and regulatory requirements are fully complied with.

• Undertake other tasks, when necessary, to achieve the team’s and the organisation’s overall objectives.

 General

• Managing a complex workload with competing demands and deadlines. The role holder will agree objectives and overall priorities with the Head of Philanthropy but is expected to manage unexpected/unplanned work within overall timeframes.

• The post holder is required to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Fundraising Team to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising activities.

• The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will need to communicate effectively and sensitively, building strong relationships with existing and potential donors.

Experience

Essential

• Experience with interacting and developing relationships with supporters or customers using a variety of channels written and verbal.

• Ability to communicate in writing and orally in a succinct and engaging manner.

• Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity.

• Ability to confidentially deal with all levels of staff and internal/external key stakeholders with integrity.

• Ability to work weekends/evenings on occasion to support events and other activities and willingness to travel within the UK as needed to support fundraising activities (most often travel to the London-based officer)
