About the Role

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. and our mission is to increase inclusion and representation for disabled families across society. We offer a variety of services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails, and more.

As we grow in 2025 and beyond, we are looking for a volunteer to help us expand our reach and impact. This role will focus on supporting partnerships with organisations, developing corporate relationships, and helping us explore new opportunities for fundraising and collaboration.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Is enthusiastic about increasing representation and inclusion.
• Enjoys development and may have experience in business development.
• Has experience working with corporate sponsors (helpful, but not essential).
• Is passionate about fundraising or has relevant experience.
• Is a strong communicator (verbal or other forms such as Sign Language, Eye Gaze, etc.).
• Thinks creatively and is willing to bring fresh ideas to the team.
• Can work remotely.

The Pony Club is a voluntary youth organisation where young people develop, learn, and grow through engagement with horses. Founded in 1929, we are proud to be planning our centenary celebrations while expanding an inclusive community of over 30,000 members, supported by around 10,000 volunteers.

Our Vision is to provide everyone with the opportunity to develop a lifelong love of horses through fun, friendship, horsemanship and sport.

Our Charitable Purpose has three strands:

• To promote and advance the education and understanding of the public, particularly children and young people, in all matters relating to horsemanship and the horse.
• To encourage the development of sportsmanship, unlocking potential by building resilience, confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• To support and develop the volunteering network to strengthen The Pony Club community and sustain lifelong engagement with equestrianism.

Our purpose and strategy are underpinned by organisational foundations: strong governance, digital innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, ensuring The Pony Club remains resilient, responsible, and equipped for the future.

We are seeking to appoint one or more Trustees for the period commencing 1st January 2026 to replace those due to retire and to strengthen our existing Board of eight Trustees. We welcome applications from individuals who share our Vision and are eager to help deliver The Pony Club’s charitable purpose and ambitious 2026–2030 strategy.

We are especially interested in Trustees who can bring a variety of skills, experiences, and perspectives, including expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Qualities and Experience

• Governance and compliance – previous experience in charity governance, risk management, or legal frameworks
• Finance and business management – including financial planning, reporting, or HR expertise
• Digital innovation and IT – experience leading digital transformation, platforms, or technology initiatives
• Marketing, communications, and brand strategy – including digital and social media campaigns
• Membership and volunteer-led organisations – experience supporting, contributing to, or leading volunteer or membership-based groups
• Equestrian knowledge – understanding of the equestrian sector and horse welfare
• Diversity, equity, and inclusion – ability to enhance the Board’s inclusivity and reach

Expectations of Trustees

• Pony Club Trustees are elected for an initial term of three years and may offer themselves for re-election for further three-year terms, up to a maximum of nine years.
• The Board of Trustees meets six times a year, a mix of virtual and in-person meetings.
• Trustees may be invited to attend Pony Club events such as the Championships, the Pony Club Conference, and Trustee away days.
• New Trustees will attend an induction at The Pony Club Office in Warwickshire and are expected to complete NCVO Charity Trustee Induction Training if new to the role of Trustee.
• The role is voluntary, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

Our Shop Volunteers raise money for the people we support with a Learning Disability. Do you have a few hours a week to spare and share your time with us?

Our retail roles are varied and fun. You could be sorting donations from the public, dressing our window or serving customers on the till. There are many people from different walks of life and it's a great way to get practical experience and to meet new people.

This role will take place on a weekly basis for a few hours We will try our best to be flexible around the best time for you, but also need to consider the store opening times and volunteer rota. It could be a weekday or weekend, morning or afternoon, our stores are usually open 7 days a week. We’d appreciate any time that you can spare.

Whilst in the store, you will help with activities based on the needs of the Store Manager.

Tasks you could get up to whilst volunteering could include:

• Serving customers on the till
• Taking stock donations from the public
• Tagging and steaming stock for the shop floor
• Dressing the window displays
• Asking people to join us as a volunteer

SEAS Sailability & All Afloat – Merging for Greater Impact

About SEAS All Afloat

SEAS Sailability and All Afloat, two well-established charities operating across Wales since 2017, are merging to combine their experience, resources, and passion for inclusion on the water.

SEAS Sailability has built a successful partnership with a commercial activity provider, delivering weekly evening sessions and monthly weekend activities during the spring and summer months for disabled people, their families, and carers. Over the past five years, SEAS Sailability has secured approximately £200,000 in grants and donations to support this work.

All Afloat has focused on breaking down barriers to water sports and expanding access to sailing and boating for disadvantaged young people and those with disabilities. The charity has supported ten RYA Training Centres across Wales, delivering more than £150,000 worth of projects, providing over 4,500 sessions for more than 3,500 young participants, opening clear pathways to RYA qualifications from introductory sailing through to Dinghy Instructor certification.

As the new merged organisation, SEAS All Afloat will build on this strong foundation to secure sustainable funding that maintains current activity while enabling the growth of similar partnerships across Wales. Our ambition is to use our combined experience, equipment, and networks to expand opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy the water safely and inclusively.

Through community projects and activity clubs, we will continue to deliver safe, engaging, and inclusive on-water experiences that build confidence, develop skills, and foster wellbeing — particularly for those facing barriers to participation.

The Role of the Chair of Trustees

Our volunteers and trustees play a vital role in steering the charity and ensuring we deliver on our mission.

The Chair of Trustees provides leadership to the Board, ensuring effective governance and strategic oversight. Working collaboratively with trustees, volunteers, and partners, the Chair helps set the vision and direction of the charity and acts as a key ambassador.

The Chair ensures that the Board operates effectively, decisions are well-informed, and the charity remains compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements. They also represent SEAS All Afloat publicly, championing its values and strengthening its relationships with stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• A passion for making outdoor activities accessible for all.
• Strong leadership and governance experience (charity, corporate, or public sector).
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build consensus.

Experience in sport, youth development, disability inclusion, or fundraising would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn't continue doing what we do without them. Across the UK, our 270 local groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS. They provide sense of belonging, unity and friendship. And they deliver services and support for their local MS community.

We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Volunteer for the Salisbury and District Group. As our Fundraising Volunteer you’ll support your Fundraising Group Coordinator to organise local fundraising activities and events throughout the year.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication and team working skills. Most importantly you’ll inspire your local community to raise funds that help make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Time Commitment

We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

About you

You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email. You’ll be able to apply disability, equality and inclusion practices and understand and apply our risk management system. Ideally you’ll understand the local area and organisations that provide local services.
