As a Housing Officer, you'll play a crucial role in providing support to clergy preparing for retirement. This job isn't just managing properties - you will make a significant difference to people's lives by giving them personalised support and expert advice on retirement housing, recognising their individual needs.

About you

You will need to be comfortable working flexibly as part of a team and able to prioritise your own working. You'll have experience of working in and delivering an effective housing and tenancy management service within a customer-focussed organisation, and will be familiar with various housing options and solutions. You'll also need a good working knowledge of Housing Law as it applies to tenancies.

Other key requirements include:

• communication skills with the ability to engage with our customers professionally and with empathy in person, on the phone and in writing;
• of creating and building partnerships with other agencies to support service delivery;
• in using Microsoft Office (including Outlook), and CRM systems.

A social care or housing management qualification is desirable, as is experience with housing management systems and a current driving licence.

Since 1991, MASH has been at the forefront of supporting women in and around Greater Manchester who are, have been or may start sex working and who are facing multiple disadvantage. We were founded as a social justice organisation, starting out as a grassroots, community led response to the HIV/AIDS crisis and we have continued to support women at the sharpest end of inequalities ever since.

Whilst the nature of sex work, the context in which we operate and the support we provide has changed dramatically over the last thirty years, one thing has remained constant: MASH continues to be a haven for some of the most marginalised women in Greater Manchester –  women who fall through the gaps, are under served by mainstream services and face stigma, discrimination and multiple barriers to accessing the support they need. At MASH, we meet each woman where they are at and stay with them for as long as it takes for them to get to where they want to be. Crucially, our support is gender and trauma informed and responsive and we bring decades of experience of appropriately supporting women in ways which work for them.

We're seeking candidates with experience in matrix management environments, senior leadership skills in project/change management, and a track record of impactful campaigning, policy, research, or public affairs activities.

About the Role

• You will have substantive experience in providing immigration advice and casework, with the relevant Level 2 OISC qualification (or OISC level 1 working towards Level 2). Please note only candidates with the relevant OISC qualification and legal experience will be considered.

This is a superb opportunity for someone with previous experience of providing HR support and advice to managers on all employment and HR related matters.  You will hold CIPD Associate Membership (or be actively working towards this), with at least 1 one year’s experience in handling HR policies, procedures and processes relating to employee relations, end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, grievance and disciplinary cases and absence management.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. More than anything you will need to champion what young people can achieve, be committed to collaborating with others and determined to find a way.

The role

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficiency of our HR operations and the smooth running of our office.  You will provide administrative support across the full spectrum of the HR employee life cycle, from recruitment through to retirement, and ensure our office is a professional and welcoming space for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Administration duties related to day to day operations of the HR function; including recruitment, new starter onboarding, staff development support and training coordination.
• Maintaining employment records and updating internal databases.
• Monitor and maintaining stationery stock levels, office stock and kitchen supplies.
• Serving as the initial point of contact for all employee-related queries.
