The Challenge & Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing our challenge events and community fundraising portfolio to acquire new C&C supporters and steward our pool of loyal fundraisers, with the aim of increasing our unrestricted income. You will be responsible for the event and campaign management of our national challenge events and community campaigns. You will improve KPIs, maximise net income and be reactive to opportunities to ensure the programme achieves its full potential. You will oversee fundraiser journeys for onboarding, active and lapsed C&C audience segments, updating and creating useful and inspiring fundraising resources and building strong relationships with our fundraisers.

About the role

This is a new role which will help to deliver a pilot strategy to grow long-term sustainable income by enhancing Breast Cancer Now’s on-the-ground presence locally.

Joining the relationship fundraising team and working closely with the high value partnerships team, this role is responsible for cultivating new long-term relationships and, in turn, driving fundraising income.

Uniquely, the post holder will help to implement a large-scale trial to further grow Tickled Pink, an award-winning partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! which has raised over £100m. The goal is to grow both engagement and future income by directly supporting colleagues across Asda stores in their local area.

In addition, this role will establish and grow a portfolio of supporters in the northwest by cultivating relationships with new and warm supporters including individuals, clubs, societies and local companies. It will also line manage two community fundraisers based in Scotland. 

What’s special about this role is that you’ll be working alongside a supportive, innovative and fun team which has delivered continued growth in fundraising over the last five years.

The is the first time the charity has had a community fundraiser locally based in the northwest. It is one of five new roles being introduced as part of the pilot, and the goal is that they all become permanent. 

About you 

You’re a pro at cultivating long term relationships with a variety of new supporters to generate income, and have great community fundraising experience working with individuals, local companies and clubs and societies.

You’re proactive and can work in a flexible and agile way; perhaps you’ve helped to deliver successful pilots in the past. You’re solution focused and experienced in developing and delivering ideas to grow income and engagement in the short and long term.

With great communication skills, you’re a team player and love working independently as well as part of a large team with various stakeholders.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in Manchester, Liverpool or the surrounding area. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as to our offices in London, Sheffield and Glasgow.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all financial aspects of our UK and international operations. This is a critical role that ensures our financial stewardship is sound and our systems are effective.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping and preparing monthly management accounts.

• Preparing statutory accounts and managing the annual audit process.

• Managing donor grants, including producing budgets for applications and preparing financial reports.

About You

You are a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with at least five years of experience in financial management, including some in the charity or NGO sector. About the role

You will be at the forefront of establishing a centrally-located PMO to embed project excellence in a mission-driven environment, operating both strategically and hands on across the King’s Fund. Your responsibilities will include developing and embedding project management standards and governance frameworks, establishing a performance framework to understand the impact of our projects, and providing oversight and assurance for key projects and programmes.

The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline. 

This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.

This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).

Main Duties 

Leadership and Management: 

· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth. 

· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches. 

· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.

· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities. 

· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders. 

Oversee and support monitoring submissions.

Fundraising:

· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.

· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.

· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.

· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.

· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams. 

Organisational and General Duties: 

· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity. 

· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process. 

· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).

· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI. 

· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets. 

· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance. 

Communications and Marketing: 

Liaise with colleagues to help shape and implement our marketing and communications plan, ensuring our reputation is upheld and our knowledge is shared through positive, consistent and accurate communications and messaging.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you’ll be at the heart of our finance department—overseeing everything from general ledger accuracy and treasury management to accounts payable/receivable and VAT returns. You’ll help maintain high standards of professional competence, support internal and external audits, and lead on monthly controls and reconciliations.

• Oversight of the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger
• Responsibility for the monthly control oversight, including internal controls, prompt reconciliations of control accounts, separation of duties, and compliance with proscribed systems of authorisation. To oversee the Sports and Community events team, developing and diversifying each department, maintaining a high standard of relationship fundraising, managing and setting team’s yearly budgets with the Head of Public Fundraising.

WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, talented, resourceful, emotionally intelligent and hardworking Senior Finance Manager to manage finance and governance across our international office in London and our Retreat Centre based in Bonnevaux. Working with the Executive Director and Trustees, and with the support of a small, dedicated team, you will lead on WCCM’s financial strategy and planning, ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory bodies, working to maximise income and automate processes. You will also have responsibility for core organisational support functions such as HR, GDPR and Health and Safety. You will have significant experience in finance roles, with knowledge and experience of UK charity finance, and operational support functions. Occasional trips to France. Interest in Christian Meditation/Spirituality an advantage.

The Role

As our Fundraising Manager, you will be the driving force behind developing, launching, and delivering a dynamic fundraising strategy to secure significant and sustainable support for the Waqf Fund.

Your role will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery from engaging high-net-worth donors and institutional funders, to inspiring grassroots giving from communities who believe in the transformative power of education.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning – Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with the Fund’s mission and values.
• Major Donor Engagement – Identify, cultivate, and steward high-value donors and partners, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
• Community Fundraising – Mobilise grassroots support across the UK Muslim community, creating campaigns that inspire giving at every level.
• Institutional Funding – Explore and secure grants, sponsorships, and partnerships from trusts, foundations, and corporate supporters.
• Events & Campaigns – Design and deliver fundraising events, both in-person and digital, that engage and inspire.
• Waqf Awareness – Champion and educate donors on the concept of Waqf as a sustainable, faith-driven model for impact.
• Impact Reporting – Work with the leadership team to demonstrate the difference donor support is making, through compelling storytelling and data.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a rare combination of heart and hustle. You will:

• Have a proven track record in fundraising, business development, or sales, ideally in the charity or education sector.
• Understand the values and motivations of Muslim donors, with sensitivity to cultural and faith contexts.
• Be a confident communicator, able to inspire at a boardroom table and from the mosque pulpit.
• Have experience in building a fundraising function from scratch (preferred but not essential).
• Be highly organised, results-driven, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
• Share our vision for transforming education and believe deeply in the power of giving for lasting change.

Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager, you will have a background in retail and experience in the retail environment. You will work alongside the Shop Manager to manage staff and volunteers, drive sales to achieve strategic objectives and targets as well as assist in recruitment, training and cash management.

• Proven experience in managing, supporting and resourcing a team through setting and monitoring objectives and targets
