Our dynamic programme and grants team at Youth Futures is looking for a capable, proactive person to provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our grant-making lifecycle.
The key purpose of the role is to help the team embed and further enhance our grant management processes. This will include administering our grant database, checking payments, dealing with enquiries and overall record keeping. You will support the coordination of grant making processes from end-to-end, facilitating clear communication and effective collaboration across internal colleagues and our grant administration partner.
You will bring a proactive, hands-on approach, supporting multiple internal customers and strands of activity while working to tight deadlines. The role would be a great opportunity for someone interested in youth employment or grantmaking to gain relevant experience and exposure to our work. This is a part time role (22.5 hours per week) and can be based at any of our hubs located in London, Birmingham or Leeds.

POSITION SUMMARY
The main purpose of this role is to provide day to day support to the management of CARE International’s global platforms (website and social media), monitor performance and support effective and timely communications planning globally. This is an exciting entry level position for those passionate about digital communications and engagement, and its intersection with social justice.
Main Responsibilities: - Key areas of responsibility but not limited to:
Support to Global Digital Platform Management (70%)
· Support the day-to-day management of CARE International Secretariat’s digital platforms including website and social media.
· Producing copy and graphics according to the guidelines agreed with Global Content Manager.
· Editing and uploading content to the CARE International website according to the digital strategy and guidelines set by the Global Content Manager.
· Act as the focal point for contact with the website development agency, overseeing technical upgrades and developments
· Support communications planning including management of a global external calendar with relevant dates and events to guide digital content creation.
· Support the management of social media dashboards and the elaboration of performance analysis with a view to improving outreach and optimizing content.
· Support the knowledge management of relevant materials for the digital content team.
· Actively seek out new trends and opportunities in the digital space.
· Support the Global Content Manager in other activities as required.
Support to Global Communications Working Group Coordination (20%)
· Support the Global Content Manager in implementing global communities of practice and content support.
· Manage internal engagement plan and calendar for communications team, ensuring timely coordination moments, sourcing translations, and setting up technical requirements
Support to Advocacy and Communications Department (10%)
· Work with the Knowledge Management and Learning officer in support of strong internal communications, in alignment with the wider CI Secretariat, using the latest digital technologies to support confederation engagement with the work of the CI Secretariat.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
· 1-2 years of experience in website and social media management
· Solid understanding of communications principles and approaches and excellent communication skills
· Experience working with a Content Management System, with an understanding of SEO principles. Knowledge of Drupal a distinct advantage.
· Competent in the use of Canva or similar platforms for social media content production. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video-editing software, and graphic design skills a distinct advantage.
· Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic a distinct advantage.
Desired
· Experience in digital communications and content production for an international relief or aid organization
· Strong knowledge of CARE's work or work of peer organization
· Project management experience
· Experience with tools and platforms for knowledge management such as Sharepoint, and Microsoft Teams

The Corporate Partnerships Account Manager plays a pivotal role in the Fundraising and Communications directorate and is responsible for managing, stewarding, renewing, and growing our corporate partners to meet our fundraising income targets. Rugby foodbank's Engagement Officer will oversee the smooth running and operation of the foodbank, with concern for its operational efficiency and standards in accordance with The Trussell Trust franchise model. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, guide the development of the foodbank project, including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body. The Engagement Officer will have a key role in the delivery and development of Rugby foodbank and the growth of its services. The charity was founded by the churches across the town and continues to hold to Christian principles working to address poverty, primarily homelessness and food poverty in the Borough of Rugby. The churches, as the Revive network, support the work we do both with funding and providing many of our volunteers. Our staff and volunteers support these values and ethos irrespective of belief or background.
We are looking for someone who can work as a flexible team member and with the ability to share and balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team. You’ll be part of a team of Funding Officers, led by a Funding Manager, responsible for our grant-making activity in a geographical area. There are eight Funding teams in Scotland each covering a different geographical region with between 4 and 8 Funding Officers in each team.
Funding Officers usually work on grant-making activity within one local authority area and are the main point of contact for all grant-holders and applicants in that area.
Role Responsibilities include:
- You will provide advice to prospective applicants, assess applications and will be in regular contact with grant-holders as they progress with their projects. Your recommendations will guide decisions on awarding grants and how we support grant-holders.
- You will contribute to learning and evaluation of our work, outreach and stakeholder engagement in your area. You will ensure that our funding responds to the local context and our commitment to equity and inclusion. You will be expected to challenge yourself and colleagues to continually improve the way we work.
- You will be responsible for understanding how an organisation’s ideas align with our funding priorities and making good judgements about when to take an application further or when to signpost to alternative opportunities. You will be able to communicate clearly and concisely your recommendations about who and what we fund. Your natural curiosity combined with a genuine interest in people and projects in your area will enable you to try new approaches and develop your understanding of what works.
During your first few weeks with the Fund, in person training will be delivered in Glasgow, you can expect to be office based on most working days. After the initial training period work patterns are more flexible. In a typical week most full-time Funding Officers would be likely to spend one day in our Glasgow office, one or two days out for meetings and project visits in their assigned area, and will work from home on other days.
There can be occasional weekend and evening working, but most of our work takes place on week days in normal working hours.

The role
The Governance Officer liaises with external partners and supports the Director-General to ensure governance activities align with the Foundation’s strategic goals.
