A new opportunity has arisen to join the Newt Conservation Partnership as NCP Finance Administration Assistant to support our efforts to create and manage high-quality habitat for great crested newts. This is an exciting time to join our team as we expand to maximise our impact for freshwater habitats and species.
Working alongside NCP’s Operations Manager and Administrator, the NCP Finance Administration Assistant will support daily financial tasks, using bookkeeping skills to ensure accurate and efficient data processing. Newt Conservation Partnership (NCP) is a community-benefit society whose main purpose is creating and managing high-quality habitat for great crested newts, at the same time providing new habitats for many other wetland plants and animals. Our work is underpinned by a spatial strategy, and we work at the landscape scale. We have an extensive monitoring programme, and generate critical data for assessing the success of the NatureSpace schemes. We work closely with our partners, Amphibian and Reptile Conservation and Freshwater Habitats Trust and follow their evidence-based best practice guidance for the conservation of amphibians and ponds.
Freshwater Habitats Trust is a friendly, nationally well-respected conservation charity that works to protect freshwater wildlife through practical, evidence-based and effective nature conservation projects. Key responsibilities and duties
The role will be diverse and varied. No two days nor two emails are the same! Key responsibilities will include:
· Engaging audiences through compelling content across communications channels, including our website, video, social media.
· Researching, writing and supplying communications materials in response to briefs from the department Head.
· Working with project Leads to promote outcomes, findings and impact across our various channels.
· Supporting Gypsy, Roma or Traveller people to cut through digital noise, via public-focused opportunities such as guest blogs or video.
· Working to maximise the impact of our communications strategies, and operational plans.
· Maintaining and updating digital content from evergreen pages to news items, as and when appropriate.
· Developing and producing short-form video content, along with other Adobe-based outputs.
· Other such duties as are reasonably appropriate to the job.

We’ve made a significant investment in our Microsoft suite and have transitioned services to Azure. We’re also building a cloud infrastructure to support the Organisation’s mission critical data use improvement project.
Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.
This role is responsible for:
- Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
- Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
- Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
- Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
- Ensuring systems are highly accessible and available
- Advice to the Organisation on best practice on technology
For this role we’re looking for:
- Broad expert technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure based on both cloud and on premise Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of Dynamics CRM 365 and associated technology
- Knowledge of Azure services, PowerApps, DataVerse
- Knowledge of sound backup and security protocols
- SQL (SSIS, SSRS) knowledge
- Experience of managing external stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers

About the Role

About the Role

What You'll Do:
