You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.

You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to car that can be used for work purposes. A creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the Hampshire area.

We are looking for a CJS Advocate to support Young Women and Girls

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000

Location: Based across Advance’s London Women’s Centres (Hammersmith, Finsbury Park and Stratford), with some travel to community locations across London.

In recognition of the distinct challenges facing young women and girls (YWG), Advance has developed and delivers specialist provision for young women and girls on the Maia & Lift programme, in partnership with other specialist organisations.

Our team of Maia Mentor Advocates deliver consistent, holistic support to a small caseload of YWG, working to build relationships of trust, empower YWG to explore their identities, sense of safety, aspirations, and providing practical help and advocacy where needed. As a CJS Advocate for Maia, the postholder will work closely with the Maia Team to provide gender and age specific support to young women and girls at risk of gang involvement, exploitation or in contact with the criminal justice system, to safeguard YWG, capture and record outcomes and enhance the knowledge of other professionals working with this cohort.

About You: 

To be successful as the Mentor Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will bring your experience and ability to work intensively with a selected cohort of YWG (aged 13-25), providing centre-based and outreach services and adopting a YWG-centred, strengths-based approach to deliver a range of support and interventions designed to: increase awareness and understanding of healthy relationships; reduce risk and increase feelings of safety; build self-confidence and confidence in professionals and support services; and empower YWG to assert their rights and make choices about future goals. Confidently and sensitively bring the ability to proactively assess risks and safety concerns, raising concerns with the Maia Service Manager, ensuring that, where possible, concerns are discussed openly with YWG, working within local safeguarding frameworks and taking appropriate action to safeguard YWG whilst working within a model of empowerment.

You will have a strong understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable YWG including issues related to violence against women and girls and/or the criminal justice system, and experience of community engagement, advocacy and support work with young people and experience of using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques, with the ability to demonstrate a YWG-centred approach to building trust and rapport.

This is a new position within CWJ, and will involve working with our CEO, Harriet Wistrich, on potential miscarriages of justice relating to women who have offended in response to male violence. Cases will range from convictions arising from coerced offending, counter allegations, victims of trafficking and grooming gangs, to advising on appeals by those convicted of murder or manslaughter at the CACD and CCRC.

We would consider the role at 30 hours per week.

Role Purpose

To lead and supervise legal work challenging the criminalisation of women who have been prosecuted for offences that have arisen as a result of male violence, coercion or abuse. The role will provide expert oversight of complex criminal appeals and review cases, ensuring that women’s experiences are properly recognised within the legal process and that cases are progressed to the highest professional standard using a feminist, trauma‑informed approach.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise criminal appeals and reviews for women prosecuted in the context of male violence, coercion, or abuse.

• Manage a caseload of strategic criminal appeals, ensuring trauma-informed and feminist legal practice.

• Maintain Legal Aid Agency supervisor status and compliance.

• Supervise and support junior legal staff.

• Collaborate with partner organisations and contribute to CWJ’s litigation strategy.

• Engage in training, media, and sector-wide advocacy.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales) with at least three years’ post-qualification experience.

• Meets Legal Aid Agency criteria for criminal appeals supervisor.

• Strong experience in criminal law, especially appeals and legal aid casework.

• Commitment to CWJ’s feminist values and anti-oppression approach.

• Excellent communication and self-management skills.

• Understanding of issues affecting disadvantaged and marginalised groups, especially violence against women and girls.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Elmley. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.  
 
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 
 
This role is a fixed term role until 31st March 2027 with the opportunity to be made permanent subject to contract renewal.

The Traveller Equality Caseworker will provide an advice, support and information service to Irish Traveller people in prison in England and Wales and their families. Working as part of a small specialist team, the post-holder will manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, ensuring a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and rights-based approach at all times.

About ICPO London

ICPO London works to support Irish people in Prison and their Families. Delivering services across England and Wales we aim to support people with the challenges of imprisonment and rehabilitation. Job Title: Night Engagement Worker 

Location: This role is based in Redbridge. The service is a short walk from Gants Hill Underground Station. The area is also served by multiple bus routes, including 114, 121, 128, 150, and 272, offering direct local and regional connections for staff commuting to the service. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £28,800

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday 20:30 - 08:30. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements, which includes weekends and bank holidays which form part of your rota

About the Role

We’re looking for a Night Engagement Worker to join the team in Redbridge. You will support within the Offender Personality Disorder Housing Accommodation to support in successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community. The service delivers support for people in the criminal justice system who are deemed high risk, and likely to meet criteria for personality disorder. Penrose OPD HASS service offers specialist accommodation to people with high risk/high needs and require intensive support to overcome barriers to resettlement and progress towards independent living in the community.

You will assist with those who have recently been released from prison, secure health settings, or are transitioning from Approved Premises. Your role will involve supporting all aspects of key engagement activities, aiding their rehabilitation, reablement, and reintegration into society by providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions, that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with substance misuse, helping them take positive steps forward.
• Creating one to one person centred support plans to support residents in achieving their goals.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times during the shift, including regular check ins and carrying our protocols.
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities during the evening which may include movie nights and games nights.
• Lone working is part of the role, but you’ll always have a supportive team around.
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.

About You

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who may be deemed as having a personality disorder and have been referred to us by the criminal justice service. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs.

• Understanding of Personality Disorder and the Criminal Justice System
• Experience in working with people of different backgrounds which may be complex.
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
• Comfortable working with people who have different types of histories of behaviours which have led to in-prison sentencing.
• Awareness of external opportunities which are available such as with education, employment and benefits
• Organised and proactive in managing tasks like welfare checks, safeguarding, and accurate record keeping
• Confidence in identifying when someone may be struggling with their mental or physical health, substance use, or other challenges, and knowing how to respond
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to motivate and empower others to reach personal goals and overcome barriers to independence

About the role

As a Children and Young People Caseworker you will:

• Deliver excellent services to Children and Young People who have been victims of crime through the direct provision of information, practical and emotional help from the point of crime and where appropriate.
• Help Children & Young People cope and recover from the effects of crime.
• Act as a single point of contact, undertaking effective need and risk assessments.
• Coordinate the overall delivery of the cope and recovery plan and recovery journey, working closely with other service providers to meet the needs of victims.

You will need:

• Previous experience delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
• Previous experience of working with vulnerable CYP.
• To be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising work and managing competing demands.
• The ability to complete needs and risk assessments.
• To demonstrate empathy.
• Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and Safeguarding principles.

The Wise Group, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and third-sector organisations, delivers the Finance, Benefit and Debt service across the North West of England.

This role is about more than advice. It’s about helping people stabilise their finances, reduce crisis, and create the conditions for long-term change.

Working across prison and community settings, you will lead a team delivering one-to-one mentoring to men facing financial hardship, benefit challenges and debt. You’ll work closely with probation, prison teams and local partners to ensure people can access the right support at the right time.

Using our Relational Mentoring approach, your team will build trusted relationships that go beyond transactional support - helping individuals make meaningful, sustained progress.

As Team Lead, you will play a key role in how this support is delivered - shaping team performance, strengthening partnerships and ensuring we deliver high-quality, person-centred services that make a real difference.

What you’ll lead

People and performance
Recruit, onboard and support mentoring staff delivering frontline interventions. Provide regular supervision, support wellbeing and performance, manage caseload allocation and create a culture focused on accountability, rehabilitation and outcomes.

Service delivery
Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across custodial and community settings. Support your team to address finance, benefits and debt barriers that impact stability and resettlement.

Partnerships and stakeholder engagement
Build strong working relationships with prisons, probation, Ministry of Justice partners and third-sector organisations. Strengthen referral pathways and support collaborative delivery.

Safeguarding, risk and compliance
Ensure safe working practices are embedded, including risk assessment and safeguarding. Manage and escalate concerns appropriately and ensure compliance with all requirements.

Data, quality and performance
Oversee CRM systems, case recording and performance reporting. Use data and insight to track progress, meet contractual requirements and drive service improvement.

Continuous improvement and change
Identify opportunities to improve delivery, gather feedback and support the ongoing development of justice services across the North West.

What you’ll bring

• Experience leading or coordinating frontline teams within criminal justice, social justice, employability or related services

• Strong people management and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust and accountability

• Understanding of the challenges faced by people entering or leaving custody, particularly around finance, benefits and debt

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, partnership environment

• Strong organisational and digital skills, including experience with CRM systems and performance reporting

• Confidence building relationships with statutory and third-sector partners

• A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to implement change

Essential requirements

• Full driving licence and access to a car for daily use

• Willingness to travel across the North West, including custodial and community locations

• Successful completion of enhanced Level 1 prison vetting

• Home broadband to support flexible working
