We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to oversee the Fundraising Development Manager position for a fixed-term, covering maternity leave. The successful applicant will have some professional experience of fundraising and/or education development, together with experience of developing good working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Organisational Development
Work with Board of Trustees to develop necessary policies and procedures to be legal, effective and follow best practice, 
Service and support the Trustees of Sanctuary Breaks CIO
Work with Directors of Hill House Retreats CIC to support generation of Trading Income for the charity
Support the Board of Trustees to make grant funding applications for service development and work with them to develop other income streams: community fundraising; events; donations

Project development
Work with partners and volunteers to enable two or more rural  Sanctuary Breaks per month (events, day trips or residential visits) 
Develop a system of evaluation to demonstrate the impact of the services that the charity is providing, with particular reference to mental health and wellbeing. 
Maintain and further develop partnerships with refugee sector agencies in the target areas, 
Network with local individuals and community groups and create partnerships as needed to promote a welcome for people seeking sanctuary in the area
Recruit and support volunteers to deliver the service
Lead on publicity and communications to promote the service, including regular newsletter and social media posts 
Develop ideas for and support cultural and fundraising events

Administrative tasks
Maintain the calendar of events and bookings and work with HHR CIC to coordinate bookings of the house between Sanctuary Breaks and trading income activities
Manage day to day finances and provide information as required to the Treasurer
Create and maintain a register of refugee sector organisations requesting sanctuary breaks, allocating bookings, supplying and handling relevant paperwork 

Job:  £25k pro rata,  18 hours per week (initially fixed-term 12 month contract)

The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. With a passion for the power of singing and music, you will persuade musicians, teachers and members of church communities of the value of RSCM’s offerings. You will build and leverage a network of advocates to help spread the word, accelerating take-up and growing the RSCM’s reach in churches and schools.

The post holder will be expected to work to actively drive sales of RSCM products such as ‘Hymnpact!’ (a singing resource aimed at encouraging singing in primary schools), sales of events such as singing courses, and membership subscriptions; and in some instances voluntary giving. Some of the work will be in support of RSCM Enterprises, RSCM’s wholly owned trading subsidiary.

The sales plan will be delivered with some assistance of external contractors (e.g. social media), and with input from individuals across the organisation.

The post holder is responsible for selling to individuals, corporate customers (such as school federations) and organisations (e.g. choral societies) including through appropriate organisational networks. The holder will play an active part in suggesting, agreeing and delivering agreed KPIs and sales targets, monitoring and adjusting activities as necessary to improve results. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the long-term financial viability of the charity and whilst we have a comprehensive product offer, we welcome innovation. The post holder will be expected to make suggestions and recommendations for NPD (new product development) and changes to our strategy that could make the products more attractive to parallel markets.

About the role

The St Pancras Community Association (SPCA) is a charity delivering high quality services for Camden residents, especially the lively and diverse community of the St Pancras and Somers Town ward. As the Director of SPCA you will lead and guide a highly skilled and motivated team to make the SPCA a community hub and a centre of excellence which has a positive impact on the lives of local residents.

Key Responsibilities

A) Governance and Institutional Compliance (with the Deputy CEO and senior management)

• Ensure that Inter Mediate complies with its charitable and legal obligations.
• Prepare, attend and minute Trustee and Committee meetings.

• Source, manage and review all professional services and suppliers engaged by Inter Mediate including banking, legal advice, accounting and auditing.

B) Human Resources and Office Operations

• Oversee Inter Mediate’s recruitment process and work with the Deputy CEO to ensure that we have fair procedures for benefits, training, probation, diversity and inclusion, gender pay gap, safeguarding, grievance and disciplinary matters.
• Oversee the contracting and on-boarding for new staff, consultants and trustees.
• Manage day-to-day HR functions and queries, including leave recording systems.
• Conduct staff remuneration and salary benchmarking exercises with the Deputy CEO.
• Update and maintain the employment handbook policies and procedures.
• Oversee office operations, equipment and facilities management.

C) IT, Security and Risk Management

• Ensure that the IT and communications systems are optimally configured for effectiveness and security, and that staff can operate them as necessary.
• Ensure Inter Mediate has robust risk mitigation systems and training for staff.
• Ensure Risk Assessments and security plans are completed by staff prior to staff travel.
• Ensure Inter Mediate has a viable business continuity plan.
• Maintain and review the Risk Register for the organisation with the Deputy CEO.

D) Financial Management (with the Finance Director)

• Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure that operational and financial planning processes and decisions are mutually informed and fully aligned.
• Strategise with the Finance Director and Deputy CEO to ensure all wings of the organisation work together to advance the best interest of the institution, its staff, projects and donors.

Experience, qualifications and skills:

• At least 8 years experience leading charity operations at a senior level spanning institutional compliance, Human Resources, IT, security and project support services, ideally in the non-profit sector.
• Track record of excellent business decisions for institutions under UK charity law operating in an international, multi-donor environment.
• Extensive experience of supporting Boards and Board committees at a senior level in a non-profit context.
• Some knowledge of project support mechanisms required for smooth delivery of peacebuilding, humanitarian, human rights or political projects in high-risk environments.

• Evidence of ability to both lead and service a complex network of external relationships.

• Graduate with a relevant degree and, preferably with relevant post graduate qualifications or relevant experience.

Working at Inter Mediate

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was born out of the tragic story of Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent who went missing whilst at work in 1986, was never found, and was eventually declared deceased in 1993. The Trust was set up in Suzy’s name to empower individuals and organisations to make a stand against all forms of abuse, aggression, and violence, across their personal and professional lives.

PURPOSE OF JOB 

• To deliver a range of stalking training courses to Trust clients, work with internal experts to ensure course content is kept up to date, provide consultancy project support, and collaborate with a range of statutory and non-statutory clients and stakeholders.

• To support the Commercial Stalking Lead in generating new and repeat business through managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Senior Officer – Network, Partnerships and Programmes plays a critical role as the initial contact point for CSC’s global network of 200+ NGOs and delivery lead for our practice-based partnership programmes and Street Work training, working closely with a small but dynamic team in pursuit of CSC’s vision and goals.

The postholder will contribute towards CSC’s strategic goal to transform street-connected children's experience of the street, now, so that they are safer, with better access to services and a sense of belonging in their communities, by:

• Working with network partners to develop, evidence and model innovative & integrated rights-based approaches to supporting street-connected children and securing their rights
• Promoting and supporting skilled street work as the first, critical step in a rights-based approach to supporting street-connected children

Role Summary

• Reporting: To the Director of Programmes for Network, Practice and Children’s Participation
• Working hours: Part time 3.5 days per week (24.5 hours)
• Salary: £34,000 pro rata
• Annual leave: 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays pro rata to a total of 23 days
• Pension: Employer contribution of 5% of gross salary
• Location: Hybrid, with at least one day per week at CSC’s office in St Margaret’s House, London, E2 9PJ

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Programme delivery

• As the delivery lead for CSC’s practice-related partnership programmes, (including our Inclusive Education Programme), work closely with partners, working group members and other stakeholders to develop and deliver high quality programming which maximises learning and dissemination opportunities, engaging external stakeholders and learning partners where appropriate
• Manage and cultivate relationships with current programme funders, ensuring that high quality reports are submitted to deadlines
• Where required, support the delivery of other programme activities in partnership with network members
• Working with partners and CSC’s finance manager, review and manage programme budgets
• Working with the Senior Legal and Advocacy Officer and with the oversight of the Directors of Programmes, implement processes for collecting and analysing monitoring data on partnership programmes and with the wider team to identify learning to inform CSC’s future work.

2. Programme development

• Working with the Directors of Programmes, guided by CSC’s strategy and building on our existing strong partnerships, develop programme plans and project concepts in advancement of CSC’s goals
• Working with the Directors of Programmes, identify funding sources for partnership programme activities and contribute to the development of high-quality project proposals
• Support the further development and delivery of CSC’s Street Work training offer, working closely with the Director of Programmes for Network, Practice and Children’s Participation, including supporting proactive efforts to secure training contracts/funding and nurturing CSC’s Global Trainer group.

3. Network development

• With the support of the staff team and Directors of Programmes, develop and implement CSC’s network approach to achieve CSC’s strategic goals
• Identify areas for collaboration with and between network members and facilitate shared learning, including via network-wide events, thematic working groups and geographic clusters within the wider network
• Be the first point of contact for reactive enquiries relating to the network and membership
• Be the ‘holder’ of network data, which will be jointly populated and maintained by the team 
• Be a champion for shared learning and knowledge exchange between the network and CSC team, including via network surveys and online engagement events
• Work with the wider staff team and network to design and deliver CSC’s annual International Day for Street Children campaign and activities.

4. Other

• As a member of CSC’s Safeguarding Committee, contribute to the effective implementation of CSC’s Safeguarding Policy and promote a safeguarding culture within the organisation
• Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job.

Person specification

• Strong programme management skills developed in the international development or human rights sectors
• Experienced at partnership management and supporting partners to develop skills, address capacity gaps, and share learning
• Excellent relationship management skills with partners, donors or similar external-facing relationships
• An understanding of charity finances, budgeting processes and legislation
• Experience in a network facing or membership role preferred
• An understanding and curiosity about the key issues for street connected children and the organisations that support them
• An understanding of, and commitment to, children’s rights
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent written English skills

We are seeking a Charity Director to take our strategy forward; we are aiming to reach all children and young people in our local communities who need our support through their bereavement journey and extend the range of services we can provide.
