JOB ROLE OUTLINE
This role will lead the design, creation and delivery of an oral health education programme in primary schools and community settings that will provide vital awareness and support for children and their families.
Tooth decay rates in children, in Luton, are amongst the highest in the country. The project will work collaboratively with Luton Public Health and other locally focused oral health partners as a collective force for change.
AIMS
- Create awareness and lifelong habits of the importance of good oral health.
- Supporting children and families to understand contributing factors to poor oral health, including sharing public health messages that encourage positive behaviour change.
- Delivery of an outstanding programme of content.
- Support and strengthen the wider network of oral health partners to enable coordinated action and long-term behaviour change, including active participation in the Luton Dental Alliance.
- Highlighting demonstrable impact to support the sustainability and legacy of the project beyond the initial funding period.
ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with partners to develop and design the educational element of the project.
- Deliver a high-quality educational offer which uses sport as a tool to engage disaffected young people, encouraging good oral health and enhancing their mental wellbeing, attendance, attainment, and life skills through innovative and tailored curriculum delivery.
- Recruit targeted schools to create a delivery plan throughout the academic year.
- In school delivery of the education programme to provide much needed support and awareness to children and families.
- Collect relevant data to ensure that Community Trust reporting obligations are met with funders.
- Work with schools and partners to create high quality case studies that demonstrate the impact of the project.

The Role
Children’s online safety is both an important and an urgent issue and the need for our unique work here at Breck Foundation is greater now than ever. The primary purpose of this role is to help children and young people take practical steps to become more digitally resilient and be safer online. Our East of England Education Programme Officer will introduce the highly impactful Breck’s story into schools and other youth and community spaces and deliver inspiring, educational talks to students, parents and guardians, teachers and other groups in a ‘whole community’ approach.
The role is fully remote, but post holder will be willing and able to easily travel to various locations within the East of England as and when necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role as well as to engage with colleagues virtually and in person in London four times a year.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Programme Delivery
- Coordinate all practical arrangements necessary for successful delivery and post-delivery activities in schools, including the timely transmission of digital files; and liaising with relevant colleagues to ensure timely delivery of materials and promotional merchandise to schools.
- Responsibility for delivering sessions tailored to educate/inform children/parents and teachers as well as carrying out all pre- and post-delivery engagements.
- Respond to any questions, disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised during sessions and follow up where necessary with the school safeguarding team or, where consent is secured, make onward referrals for additional support in specific cases.
- Contribute to the continuous development of all aspects of the programme, sharing new ideas and using best practice, including keeping programme presentations up to date or, when applicable, working on this together with relevant colleagues, ensuring that presentations used in schools across the organisation are always uniform and consistent.
- Maintain accurate records of programme activities, including record of input, output, and impact as well as demographics data, and monitor and periodically evaluate and report on impact.
Stakeholder Development/Management
- Seek and maximise opportunities for building relationships with groups of schools (primary and secondary) and relevant education/teaching groups, unions and networks, with a view to raising the profile of the programme and generating interest in it.
- Develop and manage ongoing relationships with individual schools to secure their repeat, annual participation in the programme or repeat bookings for paid presentations.
Publicity/Marketing/Communications
- Promote the offer to all types of schools (state and private), working with relevant colleagues to create impactful publicity/marketing assets and to make contact and register schools’ interests.
- Maximise opportunities for generating communication assets and publicity during delivery in schools, including through video recordings, photographs, testimonials, Vox Pops, collection of social media handles for mentions etc., ensuring to follow school guidance and secure necessary permissions.

About this role
The Programmes Quality and Delivery department is a key unit within SPANA’s Global Programmes Directorate (GPD). Reporting to a Senior Programmes Manager, the Programmes Officer provides essential grant administration and project management support to a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective oversight across the lifecycle of grants. The Role
We are looking for an Evaluation & Research Officer to join our Data and Impact team at STEM Learning. Working closely with programme management colleagues, you will design and implement evaluations, ensuring relevant data is collected, analysed and interpreted. Strategic Objectives of the Role
You will play a pivotal role in evaluating, shaping and developing programme proposals put forward by International Needs partners which have a strong fit with fundraising opportunities in the UK. Developing strong partnerships to ensure effective programme delivery, and evidencing programme impact through strong communication and reporting are also key. Responsibilities
- Advance Programme Design and Delivery - building and nurturing deep prayerful relationships, supporting partners develop programmes that meet real community needs and strengthening planning, execution and monitoring
- Enhance Programme Quality and Accountability – providing full programme cycle oversight, maintaining programme excellence and financial integrity and delivering effective reporting to all stakeholders
- Build Capacity in International Partnerships – equipping partners with tools and guidance to improve project design, implementation, and impact measurement whilst fostering a learning environment to build capacity for local sustainability and leadership
- Drive Impact Communication and Fundraising Collaboration - Translate outcomes into compelling impact stories, working closely with fundraising colleagues to align programme insights with donor engagement.
- Support Organisational Growth and Innovation - advise leadership on funding opportunities and partnership development to support strategic decision-making, participating in cross-functional initiatives to further the mission and operational excellence of the charity. Be active in team prayer, spiritual formation, and the life of the organisation.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality ESOL English, Maths, and ICT education to young people, helping them reach a standard where they can access local college courses. This role involves supporting volunteers, directing Learning Support Assistants, and contributing to curriculum development.

This is an exciting chance to gain a full year of hands-on experience working with a place-based funder. You will be learning how funding decisions are made and how grants are administered to create real impact in local communities. You’ll not only develop practical skills in project delivery and grant management, but also build a strong understanding of the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
In addition to supporting grant administration, you will lead your own project from start to finish. This will involve conducting research, engaging with local organisations and sector leaders, and producing a clear, actionable plan that addresses a real need in the sector and how the Foundation can look to ease that need. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your project while receiving guidance and support from the Chief Executive and Grants and Programmes manager, giving you the perfect balance of independence and mentorship.
As part of this role, you will join the Rank Foundation’s Time to Shine Leadership Programme, a nationally recognised initiative designed to nurture future leaders in the charity sector. You’ll be part of a cohort of 55 emerging leaders across the UK, benefiting from tailored training, mentoring, and peer support. This programme will help you develop your leadership potential, grow your confidence, and prepare you for future roles within the VCSE sector.
