MAP’s vision is a future in which all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable and locally led system of healthcare and the full realisation of their rights to health and dignity. To achieve this, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to answer a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict. 

In the past, MAP has grown at times of intense crises for Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees, and then shrunk once these crises have abated. The needs of Palestinians, following developments since October 2023, are now acute and certain to be ongoing for many years to come. That shrinking is not an option for MAP. We must grow sustainably, and we must have a demonstrable positive impact across the communities we serve. Accordingly, we have set ourselves the following strategic ambition, to guide our work until 2028: “MAP will be a high-performing, international organisation with an annual income of at least £50 million by 2028 and to enable one million Palestinians to access quality and effective healthcare every year.”

Aligned to the organisational strategy, the overarching purpose of MAP’s fundraising approach is: “To enable MAP supporters to play a long-term role in creating a healthier, more dignified future for Palestinian communities by offering meaningful and lasting opportunities to engage, support and amplify.” To ensure MAP can achieve our strategic ambition of growth and impact, we are committed to driving our annual income to £50 million by 2028, raising more than £200 million over the strategic period.

About the role 

This is a pivotal time to be joining MAP’s dynamic Fundraising and Marketing Team. In the last two years we have raised around £100 million. You will play a crucial role in expanding our impact by helping to raise funding for our existing projects, and for the further development and growth of the organisation. We are looking for a proactive, experienced, and motivated individual with the ability to lead and develop an established Trusts and Foundations programme to achieve ambitious income targets. As an integral part of the MAP team, you will be energetic and creative, bringing strong knowledge and leadership to the team.

This is a great opportunity for a results-driven Trusts and Foundations Manager who is passionate about working for the health and dignity of Palestinians to join a fun, dedicated, and ambitious team. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is able to work two days per week in our London office. This is really important to us because this is a donor-facing role with line management responsibilities. It will also involve working with colleagues across the charity. MAP has a flexible working policy to support employees with additional needs, caring responsibilities etc. However, it will not be possible for this role to be completely remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day line management and professional development support for the Trusts and Foundations Officer
• Develop and lead a Trusts and Foundations programme at MAP to secure income from active and cold audiences, focusing on donors giving £50,000+ per annum. 
• Identify new channels to grow income from Trusts and Foundations outside of the charity’s existing networks.
• Lead a strategy to maximise income by seeking opportunities and pursuing these opportunities to their full potential.
• Develop and deliver tailored proposals and stewardship plans, proactively improving knowledge capture and MAP’s understanding of supporters.
• Work with MAP’s Prospect Research Manager to identify, research, and cultivate leads to build a strong pipeline of Trusts and Foundations prospects that will have a significant, positive impact on income.
• Develop and implement a range of cultivation tools.
• Monitor, review and evaluate performance against strategic and operational plans, reports and financial forecasts.

As you will have seen from the role profile, this post requires a minimum of two days per week in our London office. This is really important to us because working with colleagues across F&M team or across the org etc.

You will be able to respond flexibly to the needs of a dynamic and values-driven organisation.

You will have substantial experience managing and growing portfolios of Trusts and Foundations donors, with a proven ability to identify new opportunities, develop compelling funding proposals, and secure significant gifts. You are a confident communicator, able to translate complex programmes and contextual information into persuasive, inspiring cases for support which can be tailored to a wide range of audiences.

With previous line management experience, or a passion for developing others, you are committed to supporting and empowering colleagues to achieve their full potential.

You bring excellent written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on achieving ambitious income targets. You are curious about developments in philanthropy and actively seek out innovative approaches and new funding opportunities, both in the UK and internationally.

Site locations

The SERT region, covers the south east of England, extending from Hampshire in the west to Kent in the east, with the northern border being south of the Thames, extending down to the English Channel.

Our office is based in Leatherhead which you will be required to attend approximately four days a month.

The amount of travel required depends on the role, and can be extensive. Most travel for an individual will be to work on project sites, which can be remote, or attending external meetings within the SERT region. The geographical range and frequency of travel is role dependent.

To support travel costs, SERT pays mileage at the current HMRC amount for travel within the SERT region. We do not pay mileage, time or any other costs for travel outside the SERT region, nor for any commutes to the office. Toll charges cannot be claimed.

Key Responsibilities
Programmes Leadership & Management (70%)
1. Lead the strategic and financial development and oversight of CBM UK’s international programme portfolio, ensuring the organisation delivers its programme strategy with maximum impact and effectiveness in alignment with CBM Global’s strategy. Support and line manage the team to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans to ensure excellence in programme funding, development and delivery.
2. Drive quality and effectiveness within CBM UK projects and across CBM Global by
a) ensuring effective coordination of tasks, forward planning of key activities and events, and providing space for collaboration, problem-solving, escalation and innovation across the portfolio.
b) identifying and improving policies and procedures that ensure proportional programmatic oversight and support complex institutional funding management.
c) supporting Programmes staff to work with country teams to pursue a localised approach to programming, drawing on the CBM Global localisation roadmap.
3. Work with Programme Funding colleagues to lead and oversee the development of strategic partnerships and packaging of programme approaches that secure institutional funding for CBM UK’s programmes, including by strengthening intelligence on donor trends and funder priorities, developing immediate responses to new opportunities as they arise in line with CBM UK’s mission.
4. Work closely with CBM UK finance, fundraising, communication teams and other CBM Global Members in creating and responding to opportunities for funding, driving growth, and promoting effective use of CBM UK’s voluntary income to leverage match funding.
5. Together with the Board and LT, actively manage programme risks based on CBMUK’s overall risk management framework.
6. Demonstrate leadership in maintaining an environment free from harm for project participants, CBM UK and partner staff by overseeing the management of safeguarding concerns arising in CBM UK supported projects, including reporting to the Board and Charity Commission where appropriate.
7. Promote within the Programmes Department a culture of learning, reflection and continuous improvement which only results in an improved programmatic approach but also informs and supports our advocacy, advisory, and evidence and learning work.

8. Liaise closely with CBM UK colleagues to ensure coordination and effective integration of programme activities into opportunities for fundraising, including contributing to the innovation in business models to diversify CBM UK’s funding base, including exploring sustainable funding approaches to enhance programme delivery and reduce dependency on the charitable model (in conjunction with the CEO and Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications).

Organisational leadership (20%)
1. Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of CBM UK through the Leadership Team, and in collaboration with the CEO, including contributing to Board meetings.
2. As part of the Leadership Team, take shared leadership responsibility for the wider CBM UK team of staff and volunteers, supporting effective collaboration and organisational cohesion, and taking on cross-functional responsibilities where appropriate.
3. Encourage and promote a culture of ambition, learning and excellence across the CBM UK team.
4. Be responsible for producing and initiating regular reports, briefing papers and other relevant programmes information for the CEO and Board Programmes Committee as appropriate.
5. Lead on supporting the Board Programmes Committee, working closely with the Committee Chair to ensure members are provided with the information necessary to permit strategic oversight and robust risk management.
6. Lead UK’s engagement with CBM Global's programmatic leadership, in particular Directors of Programmes in other CBM Member Teams (Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland), CBM Global Secretariat, and Technical Directors, working towards greater alignment, escalation of issues, and collaboration to advance CBM UK’s approach to localisation.

Representation and advocacy (10%)
1. Represent the organisation at the highest levels, including deputising for the CEO where required. Act as a key spokesperson for CBM UK with a range of external audiences, including institutional and statutory donors and strategic partners, media, policy and decision makers and other international and national non-government organisations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key geographic stakeholders, including diplomatic representatives, ensuring effective engagement and alignment with CBM UK’s programme priorities.
2. In alignment with Advocacy and with Advisory colleagues, contribute to best practice in the UK disability and development sector by forging good relationships with UK-based and international NGO and disability sector networks to advocate for the adoption of inclusive development policies and practices, and champion innovative inclusive programmatic approaches.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Advice programme. As our Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that provide high-quality information and advice services to respond to the changing needs of our community.

The Advice programme provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. The Community Outreach Administrator provides vital administration and logistical support to ensure the smooth planning, co-ordination, and delivery of Community Outreach activities. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Restoring Rivers & Catchments team. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of large-scale environmental projects, typically valued between £300,000 and £1 million, working with key partners including water companies, the Environment Agency, local authorities and consultants.

From river restoration and habitat creation to fish passage improvements, floodplain reconnection and water quality schemes, you will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered successfully and achieve meaningful environmental outcomes.

Working closely with project leads and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide oversight of project performance, governance, budgets and stakeholder relationships, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

About you

You are an organised and confident project professional with a proven track record of managing complex projects and budgets. You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills and are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.

You are proactive, solutions-focused and able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You enjoy working collaboratively, can influence and engage others effectively, and remain calm when managing competing demands.

Experience of environmental project delivery, working with water companies or delivering WINEP schemes would be advantageous, as would an understanding of river restoration, catchment management or environmental regulation.

Site locations

The SERT region, covers the south east of England, extending from Hampshire in the west to Kent in the east, with the northern border being south of the Thames, extending down to the English Channel.

Our office is based in Leatherhead which you will be required to attend up to 4 times a month.

The amount of travel required depends on the role, and can be extensive. Most travel for an individual will be to work on project sites, which can be remote, or attending external meetings within the SERT region. The geographical range and frequency of travel is role dependent.

To support travel costs, SERT pays mileage at the current HMRC amount for travel within the SERT region. We do not pay mileage, time or any other costs for travel outside the SERT region, nor for any commutes to the office. Toll charges cannot be claimed.

Your role will be to ensure that Shelter’s service delivery model is truly inclusive and accessible. We will build on previous Race and Housing Research carried out in 2023-4, to further understand systemic discrimination and work with communities and partner organisations to find solutions. You will be instrumental in making sure the shop is at the hub of the local community, ensuring a steady flow of donations and acting as the face of Concern Worldwide and raising public awareness of our campaigns.

You will lead by example and be confident working within a fast-paced retail environment.  You will contribute towards the success of the shop by:

About you

Concern Worldwide operates a growing retail network of eight shops across Northern Ireland, each playing an important role in supporting our work to end extreme poverty. CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT

It is the nature of this post that weekend working (Saturday) and occasional additional seasonal hours are part of the normal working week. Working hours will also involve some evening work to meet the needs of the post. Due to the nature of this role, flexibility is required. 

We are happy to consider candidates interested in either part-time (28 hours per week) or full-time (35 hours per week). Flexibility required.
