28hrs/4 days a week - £39,000 pa pro rata (£48,750 full-time equivalent)

Reporting to: Head of Fundraising and Communications

Location: Wimbledon London SW19 with occasional UK travel. The office is just a few minutes’ walk from Wimbledon mainline and underground stations.  (Hybrid option up to 2 day p/w working from home). 

The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund has been helping doctors, medical students and their families through hardship for almost 190 years. We are looking for an experienced relationship fundraiser to take ownership of our growing mid-value donor programme and help shape the future of supporter engagement at the charity.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced senior fundraiser to join our small and friendly fundraising and communications team. The Fundraising Manager is primarily responsible for developing, managing and growing the charity's mid-value donor programme. The role will steward and upgrade a defined portfolio of supporters, delivering excellent supporter experiences that increase donor retention, engagement and income. In addition, the post holder will support on individual giving, legacy fundraising and developing and stewarding a small portfolio of corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of mid-value supporters, delivering tailored stewardship, personalised communications, meetings, events and digital engagement that demonstrate impact, strengthen relationships and enhance the supporter experience.
• Design and implement segmented donor journeys and cultivation strategies that move supporters from mass fundraising communications to more personalised engagement, identifying opportunities to increase giving through appeals and special funding opportunities.
• Use donor insight, data analysis and supporter behaviour to monitor engagement and retention, reducing attrition, increasing lifetime value, and identifying supporters with the potential to upgrade their giving and progress towards major donor status.
• Develop, manage, and grow a small portfolio of corporate supporters, identifying and securing new fundraising opportunities including sponsorship, employee fundraising, and cause-related marketing initiatives.
• Manage the legacy giving programme, overseeing legacy administration and delivering targeted marketing and stewardship activities to raise awareness, generate enquiries and encourage supporters to leave a gift in their Will.
• Ensure all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation, data protection requirements, fundraising regulations and organisational policies.
• Maintain accurate supporter records and activity tracking within the CRM system.

Personal Specification

• A proven track record in fundraising
• Ability to think strategically to identify potential donors, prioritise efforts and develop effective fundraising strategies. This includes analysing data, assessing donor potential and adapting approaches based on feedback and results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain donor relationships and understand donor motivations and interests. 
• Excellent written skills with an ability to craft compelling and personalised proposals, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Confident and comfortable making telephone calls and meeting donors in person as a key part of relationship building and stewardship.
• Strong collaborative skills as a team player, whilst also able to work autonomously initiating and driving tasks as a self-starter.
• Experience using CRM systems and supporter data to drive fundraising performance.
• An understanding of the challenges facing doctors and medical students, including mental health and workplace pressures would be desirable.

• Occasional UK travel maybe required for donor meetings, events and conferences.

About the role

As Individual Giving Retention Officer, you’ll play an important role in helping Isabel Hospice grow sustainable income by strengthening the relationships we have with our individual supporters.

Working closely with the Individual Giving Manager, you’ll support the delivery of engaging supporter journeys across post, email, phone and in-person communications. You’ll help ensure donors receive timely, meaningful thank yous, impact updates and stewardship that show just how much their support matters.

This is a part-time role with a clear focus on activity that makes the greatest difference to supporter retention, repeat giving and long-term engagement. From helping to re-engage donors, to supporting regular giving growth and using insight to improve communications, your work will help local people feel closer to the care they make possible.

You’ll also use CRM data to segment audiences, track supporter behaviour and help develop communications that are personal, relevant and effective. About you

It would also be helpful if you have experience in individual giving, supporter journeys or donor retention, as well as experience using a CRM system such as Raiser’s Edge. An understanding of fundraising principles, donor behaviour, UK fundraising regulations and GDPR would also be beneficial.

• Some understanding of evaluation methodology and data analytics for digital communications including social media platforms

We’re currently recruiting two full-time qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) to work directly with young people in our Mental Health Support Team (MHST). For this post you need to have successfully completed the Education Mental Health Practitioner Post Graduate Diploma. We are also looking for people with an open and flexible attitude; excellent engagement skills and a passion for working with children and young people around mental health.

Responsibilities include offering CBT based self-guided mental health interventions to primary and secondary aged children and young people and their families. This involves individual and group-based support as well as supporting schools to implement a whole school approach. The posts have scope and opportunity for developing new initiatives and ways of working to support young people’s mental health across South London.

All posts are based on-site (office/school) and may require flexibility to work across different service areas and interventions. Some evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet the needs of young people.

This is a senior leadership role within the International Programmes Team, sitting on both the Programmes Leadership Team and the Strategic Leadership Team, and offering an outstanding opportunity to shape how BAI serves persecuted and suffering Christians across one of the world’s most complex and spiritually significant regions.

The Asia region spans South Asia, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia — some of the most sensitive and complex contexts in which Barnabas Aid works. Many of the communities we serve face active persecution, operate in restricted environments, and depend on the careful, sensitive stewardship of their relationships with BAI and our partners.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for a strategically minded, relationally gifted Christian leader to shape how BAI serves the persecuted Church across one of the world's most complex and spiritually significant regions.

The Role

The Regional Programme Director — Asia will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of Barnabas Aid's grant making and project management across the Asia Region. You will lead and develop a team of Programme Managers, build and sustain a strong partner network, and oversee a portfolio of high-quality, biblically grounded projects that deliver measurable impact for persecuted and suffering Christians.

As a member of both the Programmes Leadership Team and the Strategic Leadership Team, you will contribute to BAI's global Programmes strategy and to organisational strategy, culture, and effective cross-departmental working.

Key Responsibilities

Regional strategy and portfolio leadership

• In collaboration with the International Chief Programmes Officer, lead the development, review, and implementation of the global Programmes strategy within the assigned Region, translating strategic priorities into a clear regional plan and pipeline.
• Maintain a balanced regional portfolio aligned with organisational priorities, donor intent, and restricted fund requirements.
• Identify emerging needs, risks, and opportunities in the Region and recommend strategic responses, including new initiatives and partnerships.
• Ensure that the Region is balancing its portfolio of Programmes according to the Country Classification framework.

Grant making and programme cycle management

• Oversee the end-to-end grant making process for Programmes in the region, ensuring proposals are assessed, costed, and approved in line with delegated authority, Gate processes, and Programmes Subcommittee requirements.
• Take lead responsibility for one sub-region and/or a portfolio of countries, leading on partner engagement and the whole project management cycle.
• Ensure robust needs assessments, project design, logical frameworks (where applicable), budgets, partner due diligence, risk assessments, and monitoring plans are in place before grants are committed.
• Oversee project implementation across the regional portfolio, including milestone tracking, reporting, learning, and close-out, ensuring records are maintained accurately and on time.
• Proactively identify project delivery issues and work with team members and partners to resolve them promptly.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of all systems and processes used to manage the workflow of the team.
• Work closely with the Programme Quality Team to ensure best practice standards, continuous improvement, and consistent application of policies, processes, and templates.

Leadership and people management

• Support the staff in the regional team by providing clear leadership, coaching, and line management, including goal setting, supervision, performance management, and development.
• Ensure capacity planning across the Region so that project management workloads are realistic and risks are appropriately managed.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for the regional team, contributing to wider Programmes Team workforce planning as required.
• Deputise for the international Chief Programmes Officer when requested to do so during their absence
• Ensure Regional team members plan overseas trips appropriately and adequately, always factoring in security and safeguarding risks.

Partner engagement and external representation

• Ensure the regional team builds and sustains a strong partner network, with relationships that are effective, mutually accountable, and aligned with Barnabas Aid's mission and values.
• Develop and implement a plan for regular partner engagement and capacity building (including visits where appropriate and safe) to strengthen project delivery, monitoring, and safeguarding.
• Represent Barnabas Aid professionally with partners and other stakeholders, managing sensitive information and security considerations appropriately.
• Engage proactively with peer organisations and networks to bring insight on sector best practice into BAI's work.

Cross-organisational collaboration and governance

• Work closely with Outreach and Support departments to provide timely, high-quality project information and updates that enable supporter communications, fundraising, and reporting.
• Contribute to organisational planning and decision-making through active membership of the Programmes Leadership Team and the Strategic Leadership Team (as applicable).
• Prepare quality papers, dashboards, and narrative updates for internal decision-making meetings and governance forums as required.

Compliance, risk, and safeguarding

• Ensure compliance with Barnabas Aid policies and external requirements relevant to grant making and project delivery, including data protection and information security.
• Maintain effective regional risk management, including project, partner, fraud, security, and reputational risks, escalating issues promptly and recommending mitigations.
• Champion safeguarding and ensure safeguarding considerations are integrated into partner due diligence, project design, implementation, and reporting.

6 Months Fixed-term contract from September 2026

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who are life limited or life threatened. Supporting over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families annually, Acorns is a vital lifeline for families across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire during unimaginably difficult times.

Philanthropy is a core pillar of Acorns income strategy, delivering transformational income through Major Donors, high-level Family Trusts and Foundations, alongside their Celebrity Ambassador Programme.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the role will be responsible for securing gifts from high-net-worth-individuals and family foundations. Contributing to a team income target of £1.5m, you will drive the stewardship of existing relationships and cultivation of new prospects, building a robust pipeline of future supporters.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will:

• Report to the Head of Philanthropy and manage a portfolio of existing (4- to 6-figure) and prospective major donors and family foundations, taking time to understand their motivations, interests and capacity to give
• Support a team major giving income target of c.£1.5m through securing five- and six-figure donations and multi-year commitments
• Shape and drive new business activity to secure new high-value prospects and strengthen the philanthropy pipeline
• Leverage networks across trustees, senior leadership and ambassadors
• Develop compelling, high-quality proposals, cases for support and tailored communications that clearly articulate Acorns’ impact and funding priorities
• Deliver an exceptional donor experience and stewardship journey, ensuring supporters feel valued, informed and inspired
• Feed into pipelines, budgets and forecasts, providing regular reporting on activity, performance against targets and KPIs
• Work collaboratively across Fundraising and the wider organisation to maximise philanthropic opportunities and supporter engagement

Essential skills and experience:

• Major donor fundraising experience is necessary to be considered for this role, with a track record of managing the full donor journey from research and identification through cultivation, solicitation and long-term stewardship
• Track record of personally securing 5-figure gifts, including some from self-generated prospects and new donor relationships
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and rapport with HNWIs and senior internal and external stakeholders
• Experience of developing and managing donor pipelines and maintaining accurate prospect plans
• Experience of writing compelling funding proposals and impact reports
• Ability to travel independently across the Acorns region
• A proactive, self-motivated and organised approach, with the confidence to represent Acorns externally and engage effectively with senior stakeholders

Desirable, but not essential:

• Experience of securing six-figure gifts from major donors and/or family foundations through relationship-led fundraising rather than application-led approaches

Digital Fundraising Officer - 12-month Maternity Cover

The Veterans' Foundation is entering its second decade with a clear ambition to build a more sustainable, diversified and data-led fundraising model. Following ten years of rapid growth driven primarily through lottery acquisition, the organisation is now evolving its approach to strengthen supporter engagement, improve retention and maximise fundraising performance across a wider range of income streams.

This role will play an important part in that transition. As the Foundation launches a new website, develops its use of Salesforce and strengthens its supporter communications, the Digital Fundraising Officer will help deliver effective digital fundraising and engagement activity across multiple channels. The postholder will support campaign delivery, manage digital content and platforms, and use data and insight to improve performance and supporter experience.

Principal Duties

The main duties of the Digital Fundraising Officer are:

· To plan, create and deliver fundraising, supporter engagement and stewardship communications across digital channels including email, website and social media

· To manage content across the Veterans' Foundation website, ensuring it remains accurate, engaging, accessible and aligned to fundraising and organisational priorities

· To support delivery of integrated fundraising campaigns across digital channels, helping to maximise income, engagement and supporter retention

· To use Salesforce and other digital systems to support campaign delivery, audience selection, reporting and data management

· To coordinate digital activity with external agencies, suppliers and partners, ensuring work is delivered to agreed standards and timescales

· To monitor and report on digital fundraising and engagement performance, using insight to support continuous improvement

About the Investment team

The Investment team is responsible for selecting portfolio partners, managing our charity investments and supporting our portfolio partners to improve and scale their impact. 

The Investment team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles. 

The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.   

The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in school engagement, school attainment and employment sectors) and an Impact Lead. Sector Leads line manage 6 Investment Directors between them. Investment Directors line manage Investment Managers (currently 7). Investment Directors and Investment Managers tend to primarily focus on a sector but might have mixed portfolios, depending on need, experience and interest. 

The Investment team has a good track record of role progression. All four Leads and a number of our Investment Directors were promoted from within the team.

Finding high potential charities and non-profit partners for our portfolio 

• Identifying potential charitable organisations for investment.
• Leading and delivering in-depth due diligence process within the scope of a grant round, to assess and build partnership foundations with potential partners – covering leadership and governance, and their impact, scale, and partnership potential.
• Modelling from first contact of origination, our approach to engaged and trust-based investment management support.
• Developing and presenting high quality investment propositions to our Investment Committee.

Managing partnerships with portfolio partners​

• ​Managing relationships with partner Chairs and CEOs. 
• Agreeing Service Funding Agreements, including appropriate annual investment milestones to allow for a clear assessment of re-investment potential at end of phase. 
• Regularly monitoring and assessing partner progress / risks against milestones and making evidence-based recommendations on progression or exit to Leads, Portfolio Director and the Investment Committee.
