We are opening a new detox centre and are looking for Support Workers to provide safe, compassionate, and practical support to individuals undergoing detoxification in a structured, trauma-informed environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to clients during detox, ensuring safety, dignity, and wellbeing
- Recognise and respond to signs of withdrawal, deterioration, or crisis, escalating concerns appropriately in line with protocol
- Act as a keyworker for allocated clients, offering consistent support and engagement
- Carry out regular welfare checks and monitor clients’ physical and emotional presentation
- Support safeguarding practices and report concerns in line with policy
- Assist with drug and alcohol testing in line with training and procedures
- Support safe medication administration in line with policy and competency assessment, and report any side effects or concerns.
- Follow health & safety, infection control, and lone working procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals (e.g. nurses, clinicians, therapists) to ensure safe and effective care.
- Liaise with community services and professionals (e.g. housing, probation, recovery services) to support move-on following detox
- Maintain accurate electronic records and contribute to handovers and team communication
- Support with practical tasks as required, including maintaining clean and safe communal environments
Essential criteria:
- Experience in a support, care, or people-focused role
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and willingness to follow safeguarding procedures
- Ability to recognise risk and respond appropriately, including escalation of safeguarding or medical concerns.
- Ability to build professional and supportive relationships with vulnerable individuals
- Willingness to complete mandatory training (e.g. safeguarding, first aid, de-escalation, substance misuse).
- Basic computer literacy and confidence using electronic systems
- Calm, reliable, and compassionate approach, including in challenging situations
- Willingness and ability to work across different shift patterns, including some weekends, as required by the service

- Experience in mental health, substance use, recovery, or related services

Treasures Foundation was established to provide accommodation and outreach support for women who have a history of drug abuse and offending.

We are looking for a Drop-in Support Worker to join the team at MASH as Maternity cover and provide support to women.
Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the Drop-in Support Worker will manage our city centre Drop-in Centre and support the women who attend. This will involve managing volunteers, providing support and advice to women, and delivering a range of activities.

We are seeking a male flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Sessional Worker to support the delivery of services for Young Carers aged 5-16. Due to an increase in trips and off-site activities, and to ensure we provide appropriate support for all young people- particularly our male Young Carers - we are particularly seeking a male sessional worker to join the team. The role involves two key parts. The first is helping to deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, and give Young Carers a break from their responsibilities. The second is supporting with outreach to local schools, colleges, community settings and professionals to identify and engage Young Carers.
About The Role:
You will work across two key age groups- 5-11 and 12–16 - delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. You will deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls and aim to identify and engage Young Carers in the community. You will also help ensure young Carers feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. We are particularly looking for a male sessional worker who is available for our upcoming residential trip to the Young Carers Festival on the 26th – 28th June and a day trip to Southend-On-Sea on the 6th June. This is a sessional role, therefore hours are not guaranteed but will be offered based on project need.

One of two Outreach and Project Workers pivotal to the delivery of an exciting new Women at Risk (WaR) project which will support women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. About the role
As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be part of Crisis Skylight London’s Engagement and Assessment Team, providing a high quality, non-judgemental and safe service to individuals who approach our Skylight Centre. Engagement and Assessment Workers are the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters. You will be providing information about Crisis’ services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services. You will also manage a small caseload.
Crisis uses a case management approach, and the successful candidate will attend case management meetings, reflective practice, and team meetings. You will also work collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight London’s Coaching and Learning Teams.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience of working with homeless or other vulnerable groups and understanding of the importance of respecting confidentiality, showing empathy and sensitivity, and working in a boundary way.
- Experience of assessing presenting needs and working in a Psychologically Informed Environment, and in a way that ensures that members with all levels of need can access the service.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of customer care and high quality IAG.
- Good knowledge of homelessness, housing and welfare legislation and Safeguarding procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with challenging situations with a calm approach.
- Ability to manage a caseload, and successful relationships with external service providers and partners.

About the role
As an Engagement Worker, you will be pivotal in delivering Shelter’s purpose to defend the right to a safe home by enabling those we assist to enforce their housing rights. You will be a key member of the Housing First team in South Tyneside, delivering intensive support to a small number of individuals with multiple disadvantage, to move from homelessness to sustaining a tenancy. You will need to form links with partner organisations and agencies and your role will be fundamental in supporting someone on their journey through Housing First, supporting up to seven clients at any one time.
About you
You will need experience of support work, a proven ability to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, especially substance misuse services, health and probation and people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have an awareness of working in a trauma informed, strengths based approach to help people with multiple disadvantage, as well as having experience of writing and implementing person centred support plans and writing detailed case-notes. Also, you have flexible time management skills and are comfortable collaborating with people from other teams and organisations.

Shelter North East has been based in Newcastle, covering advice across 12 Local Authorities, for over 25 years and is made up of teams delivering housing advice and support, administration, legal casework and DIY Skills. We also have colleagues covering Community Fundraising and Organising, Client Involvement and Business Development.
One of our main focuses is systemic change, which we achieve through offering direct advice to clients, as well as training to partners and volunteers to build capacity across the housing sector. The Role:
The Donor Engagement & Communications Lead will creatively bring together the right people, information, and messaging to demonstrate the impact of philanthropy and partnerships at the Festival, and deploy appropriate strategies to maximise donor satisfaction and retention.
Able to write and develop content for a range of donor constituents on a variety of artistic forms, they will ensure fundraising is integrated into communication channels at all levels, and that frontline fundraisers on the team are equipped with the materials and content they need to grow and maintain fruitful donor relationships.
They will work closely with fundraisers and colleagues across the Development team to lead and manage the donor recognition and stewardship programme, as well as develop reports, updates and activities that connect supporters directly to the impact that they enable.
The Donor Engagement & Communications Lead will also foster productive internal relationships, particularly with colleagues in the Audiences department, to develop content and materials which articulate the Festival’s fundraising priorities and outcomes.
Performance Indicators and Deliverables
· A strategic, nuanced, year-round communications plan for the Festival’s donor and prospects, particularly those who don’t regularly attend the Festival
· Exceptional written content, tailored for different donors and tones of voice (including our brand tone of voice) which communicates our case for support and the impact of our supporters’ generosity
· Engaging strategic events, bringing artists and supporters closer together, in support of our fundraising strategy

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and implement strategies to attract new audiences and deepen engagement with existing ones through various channels like social media, email, and events.
· Work with the Head of Engagement to improve the visitor experience to encourage repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth
· Work with the Communications Team to create and manage marketing campaigns to promote the Cathedral and its offerings
· Attend Cathedral public events and programming to gather relevant data and audience feedback
· Build creative and engaging forms of visitor feedback that captures qualitative and quantitative data key to the building of an audience-led Engagement programme
· Work with the Engagement team to plan and execute audience-led programming to attract visitors and enhance engagement, such as concerts, lectures, or tours, delivering on the new Engagement Strategy
· Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of audience development efforts
· Work with other departments, including marketing, fundraising, and education, to achieve the Cathedral’s vision and mission values
· Working with the Head of Engagement, CFO and COO to manage budgets related to audience development activities
· Develop and implement an audience development strategy and an evaluation framework that aligns with the Cathedral's overall goals
· Lead on data and feedback analysis and the building of reports to inform key stakeholders and SLT of Cathedral programming

The role
The Domestic Abuse Prevention All Risk Perpetrator Worker will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators whose victims have been identified through all levels of risk.
The purpose of this role is to move the perpetrator along the spectrum of awareness; acceptance of impact; desire to change; to voluntary engagement in behavioural change to end the cycle of abuse for children who are victims of domestic abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will work with people on: awareness raising and developing motivation to change with people who recognise they are at risk of or are harming their partner (low risk), individual case management and group behavioural change programmes (standard and medium risk), intensive case management aimed at high harm and/or significant recidivist perpetrators. To do this, the Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with existing agencies as part of a co located multi agency approach.
The Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with the victim/survivor IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
The Prevention, Action and Support Team (PAST) provides an intensive case management service for individuals (all genders, 18+) identified by the police as high risk, high harm perpetrators of domestic abuse. The intervention lasts 8 – 16 weeks, (with potential extensions based on the duration of the perpetrators inclusion in the perpetrator panel cohort). Cases are referred through a police-led perpetrator panel (e.g., MATAC or DATAC).
PAST’s intensive case management approach balances support, accountability, and disruption to deliver tailored interventions that enhance victim safety, provide perpetrators with opportunity for change – while ensuring they are held accountable for their actions.
About you
You’ll have a deep understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on clients and children, as well as the reasons behind abusive behaviours towards intimate partners.
Your knowledge extends to the range of statutory and voluntary agencies that clients and their children may encounter, and you are aware of the impact of domestic abuse on children and parenting, including the additional needs of clients from BMER communities.
You will have experience in working with clients on issues of domestic abuse, providing one-to-one and group support and advice, managing your own workload and administration, and assessing the risk and safety of your clients and those connected to your client. You will have handled safeguarding disclosures and referrals, and you communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person.
You will be organised, able to use your initiative, and work effectively as part of a multi-service team. Your administrative skills are strong, and you are adept at using a computer to maintain effective systems.
Flexible and willing to work evenings, you can travel independently. Additionally, you will have an understanding of trauma-informed practices, risk mitigation, and safeguarding. Experience liaising with social workers and other professionals, and in related areas such as substance misuse, child protection, or family support, is desirable.
Fluency in an additional language and skills in group work are also advantageous. You stay updated with best practices and new initiatives.

The Mental Health and Community Engagement Project Worker will meet the needs of those who are experiencing a variety of forms of mental illness, including mild depression and anxiety and those with more complex needs. An integral part of the role will be to work with clients with ‘Dual Diagnosis’ and to assist in the facilitation of a programme of activities to support well-being , connection and create emtional and mental resiliance.
A key aspect of the role will be Community Engagement and promoting and communicating the services available through the Sunshine Recovery Café to local Communities and agencies who may refer clients. This will include working with local communities and social groups who maybe ‘excluded’ and those groups currently unrepresented and/or deemed as hard to reach within the community and wider areas.
