As part of the Getting Help team, you will provide social and practical support to adults with common mental health problems in a range of settings across Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale (HMR). This includes assessment and support planning, and community outreach. Typically, Community Engagement Workers support people who are on the waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy. The Getting Help team works in partnership with HMR Talking Therapies delivered by the Big Life Group and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Summary
- Devise and implement a UK church engagement plan, as agreed by RLN director.
- With prayer and resources, support a growing movement of churches engaging with Difference and the ministry of reconciliation.

Your role will be to deliver excellent, safe, impactful and responsive services to young people while developing good local links with other organisations supporting young people and the community.
You will be part of a team providing an open access 'one stop shop' offering information and on-going support to young people (aged 13-25), supporting them to make informed choices about their emotional wellbeing, work, education & finances.

Our Origin Tenants' Voices (OTV) project has been working in the Somers Town area of the London Borough of Camden with Origin Housing tenants for almost 2 years now.
Having obtained more Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding from the Council, we can now employ someone to work in the ward for 3 days instead of the original 2 per week, which will enable us actively engage with and listen to a wider variety of tenants about their concerns relating to their housing and the wider changes taking place in the area.
Please note: You will need to be based in/around London for this role as it mainly involves direct work within the Somers Town community.
Project management:
- To plan and deliver the project to all agreed deadlines, milestones and targets
- To manage the project budget in liaison with CFPT’s Assistant Organiser

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Development Worker to join our Cambridgeshire team on a Full time basis. The post will be home based with work across Cambridgeshire including advocacy drop ins, advocacy groups and providing training to support people to learn to advocate for themselves. You will begin to develop a team of volunteers that can support some of this work.
You will be promoting POhWER who support a wide range of vulnerable adults often with profound and multiple needs, so experience of networking will be valuable, along with a good working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter with a proven track record in relationship establishment and development and also have experience in community engagement. You will receive a full personalised induction programme and role specific training. Your line manager and supervisor will support you as you develop into your role. A full induction and training schedule will be provided as well as ongoing peer mentoring and support.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in, or a good understanding of, advocacy, information and advice or similar role - ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of promoting the support of vulnerable adults. More importantly to us, you will need to share our values and passion about advocacy. This is an opportunity to add real value to the lives of vulnerable people.
Because of the nature and location of the role, applicants must live within the advertised area; have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport. Travel expenses will only be paid within the Cambridgeshire border.

Rugby foodbank's Engagement Officer will oversee the smooth running and operation of the foodbank, with concern for its operational efficiency and standards in accordance with The Trussell Trust franchise model. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, guide the development of the foodbank project, including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body. The Engagement Officer will have a key role in the delivery and development of Rugby foodbank and the growth of its services. They will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders including volunteers, food and financial donors, partner referral agencies plus community and business groups. The right candidate will be an effective communicator who will work hard to create a positive environment for volunteers, clients, agencies and donors maximising opportunities for engagement.
At Hope4 we believe that everyone has the right to have a place to call ‘home’, somewhere that is safe, secure and sustainable, and enough food even when in a crisis. We also believe that everyone should have the chance to realise their hopes and ambitions. In order to achieve these aims we run the Hope Centre and Rugby foodbank which is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. Hope4 is the overarching charity name overseeing all operations of the Hope Centre and Rugby Foodbank.
As a charity, our clients are at the heart of what we do. Although Rugby is a small market town, in 2023 we supported over 190 people at our Day Centre and provided over 7500 foodbank food parcels. Our staff and volunteers are crucial to making this happen. We currently employ 8 members of staff and have 80+ people regular volunteers.
The charity was founded by the churches across the town and continues to hold to Christian principles working to address poverty, primarily homelessness and food poverty in the Borough of Rugby. The churches, as the Revive network, support the work we do both with funding and providing many of our volunteers. Our staff and volunteers support these values and ethos irrespective of belief or background.
We are looking for someone who can work as a flexible team member and with the ability to share and balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team. Your key skill will be the ability to work with all types so people from every kind of background because you will be engaging with volunteers, clients, trustees and external agencies such as churches, schools and businesses. It will be varied and is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and successful day-to-day running of the foodbank.
Main Responsibilities:

Service Delivery and Promotion:

We are looking for a collaborative and engaging lead to work in our Business and Investor Engagement (B&IE) team to grow and build relationships with the UK food sector. This role will oversee the charity’s engagement with the business community, with a particular focus on the Out of Home and manufacturing sectors. This involves having strategic oversight of and managing relationships with businesses across the UK food system and positioning ourselves as insight-led critical friends.
The B&IE team engages major food businesses on actions they can take to shift the UK towards more healthy and sustainable diets in order to tackle food system issues such as climate change, nature loss, diet related disease and dietary inequalities. We provide insight and analysis underpinned by our Plating Up Progress benchmark to support and hold businesses to account in increasing sales of healthier and more sustainable foods and in shifting towards more responsible business practices.
The business engagement lead will work closely with the Senior Business and Investor engagement manager to build and develop relationships with the Out of Home and manufacturing sectors, oversee the Food Foundation’s role in an exciting new partnership with a major broadcaster in support of more plant rich diets, oversee the delivery of our flagship report – The State of the Nation’s Food Industry (SOFI) - and collaborate with civil society partners also working in this space. Previous line management experience is desirable but not essential.
This role would be well suited to a registered nutritionist or sustainable food systems expert with experience of working in or with industry and looking to make the move into the charity sector.

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.
