Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement, you will play a key role in implementing fundraising plans that focus on researching, building relationships, and providing exceptional stewardship to corporate partners and major donors. This position will actively contribute to the development of broader fundraising strategies to support the organisation's growth.  In addition, the role is responsible for the creation and growth of a legacy giving programme. This will involve working with solicitors, accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to identify potential legators. You will engage in research, build relationships, and host targeted events to cultivate support for legacy giving. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and the Marketing and Communications Lead to develop strategies for marketing legacies and expanding this critical area of support.

The Role

As Policy Manager you will be the driving force of our policy influencing agenda. We count on you to develop nuanced recommendations, grounded in high-quality research, and to work with policy makers to raise awareness, secure buy-in, and achieve real-world change. Reporting directly to the CEO, your main responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring policy developments at the intersection of employment and work-migration. In the short term, in employment you will keep an eye on the Fair Work Agency and the implementation of the government’s Make Work Pay agenda. In immigration, you will monitor developments concerning high-risk employer-sponsored visas.

• Producing nuanced analyses that spell out the implications of policy developments in a clear and accessible manner, and conclude with actionable recommendations.

• Influencing decision-makers, including government, parliamentarians, parliamentary committees and APPGs. This includes evidence submissions, 1:1s, and working in multi-stakeholder environments.

• Contributing to research publications that document the systemic drivers of migrant worker exploitation, and draw on best practice to give policy makers options for change. 

• Contributing to the charity’s strategy, and taking up line management duties as required.

About you

This is a senior role for a candidate who can hit the ground running. We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Good knowledge of UK immigration and/or employment justice, evidenced by academic credentials and/or professional experience.

• At least three years of professional experience in policy influencing. We will consider less if you can demonstrate other relevant experience (i.e. in research or legal advice).

• Excellent analytical and research skills, evidenced by a track-record of publications (such as policy analyses, reports etc).

• Excellent communication skills, including an ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder environment.

• A real sense of purpose, commitment to our mission, and appreciation for the power of team work.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Cook Road, Horsham team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance). 

General 

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

Role Purpose:

The Helpline Advisor will be the first point of contact for individuals reporting incidents of anti-Muslim hate. The role requires delivering empathetic, confidential, and high-quality support to callers, as well as accurately recording reports and ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.

Helpline Advisors will support service users via multiple channels—phone, email, SMS, online chat and web form, by listening actively, offering appropriate information, and making referrals to specialist services where required. They will work closely with the Helpline Supervisor and participate in debriefs and reflective practice after each shift or reported incident.

Advisors will also play an important role in ensuring accurate data capture, safeguarding procedures, and upholding the values of compassion, non-judgement, and confidentiality.

• Answer incoming calls from victims of hate crime with empathy and professionalism.
   

• Provide support to service users using a variety of methods, including telephone, email, SMS, online chat, online forms, and other written reports.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will take a lead on nurturing existing partnerships and developing new ones, with a specific focus on increasing income through employee engagement and payroll giving schemes. It will also ensure that each partnership is maximised and aligned with Hearing Dogs’ mission and fundraising goals.

The post-holder will work closely with internal teams and corporate supporters to deliver engaging campaigns, employee fundraising, volunteering opportunities and impactful communications that help raise income and awareness for the charity.

It is a role that will require excellent stewardship, creativity and commercial awareness skills for mutual value – that means you will need strong relationship management and excellent communication skills. A background in corporate fundraising will be essential, alongside the ability to identify and maximise the potential of corporate support opportunities, including financial and in-kind support. You will also have experience of managing charity-of-the-year partnerships or working with employee fundraising programmes.

Volunteering and Community Engagement Manager

Salary: £35,000

What you’ll be doing:

¨ Be an effective manager, line managing our Volunteering and Community Engagement teams with passion, creativity and purpose.

¨ Working with local partner organisations, building relationships whilst exploring possible funding/joint working/event opportunities, and supporting the teams to make sure they are best placed to have the biggest impact for the people we enable and empower.

¨ Develop and maintain strategic community engagement relationships across the county, in collaboration with Senior Managers, including those with Local Area Committees (LAC)/Neighbourhood Area Committees, and with the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector infrastructure organisation in each area (for example, Voluntary Action Surrey East) as well as those working across the county including Surrey Community Action, Surrey Youth Focus, Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum, and Surrey Coalition of Disabled People.

¨ Organise and facilitate our Breaking Down Barriers Workshops, and other similar initiatives inspiring change and inclusion across Surrey.

¨ Drive forward our volunteering and engagement strategies—shaping policies, streamlining processes, and ensuring our work reflects best practice and legislation.

¨ Working with colleagues in other teams to create a culture where community engagement is at the heart of everything we do.

¨ Using innovation and creativity to design and deliver new projects focussed on community engagement, and maximising community participation for those we support.

¨ Promoting and demonstrating a strengths-based, asset based community development approach, to ensure the people we support have the opportunities to be involved in all aspects of our work and in the community.

¨ Ability to work flexibly according to the business need, which will include organising and attending community engagement events during the evening and at weekends.

We’re seeking someone who has the following skills:

• Direct experience of line managing a team of staff and providing team leadership
• Relevant experience in the management of a volunteering programme, or extensive experience of directly managing volunteers with the ability to step up into this role
• Knowledge and understanding of volunteering best practice, strategy and policy 
• Demonstrable experience of community engagement projects, working directly with beneficiaries and in building relationships with partner organisations
• Planning and organisational skills, including ability to plan, prioritise and deliver a complex workload
• Strong presentation skills, sufficient to deliver engaging training to staff and volunteers
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written, and ability to relate well to people from all backgrounds
• Experience using Microsoft Office and confident in using a database
• Understanding of data protection requirements and confidentiality

The role

We are seeking a motivated Development Coordinator to support our ambitious Development team in fundraising for a museums and galleries across the UK. What does The Animal Law Foundation do? 

The Animal Law Foundation was registered with the Charity Commission in August 2022. It is primarily a legal research charity that looks into neglected areas of animal law and where appropriate will instruct lawyers to bring legal challenges to secure any systems in place to protect animals function as they should.

Groups like this exist in the environmental and the human rights space in the UK and in the animal protection space in other countries. There is a desperate need for such work to exist for animals in the UK. 

The UK still has some of the best animal welfare laws in the world, yet the opportunity for vast change contained within these laws is rarely explored. Through exploring these opportunities the whole system for animals can be improved and set global examples.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

· Maintain supplier records including validating and updating bank details, contact information, and remittance addresses.

· Monitor the Finance Department mailbox and in-tray, responding and redirecting queries as appropriate.

· Process financial transactions including supplier invoices and staff/credit card expense claims in accordance with agreed processes and deadlines.

· Support preparation and batching of weekly and ad-hoc payment runs, ensuring proper documentation is attached and ready for approval.

· Complete bank reconciliations and assist in routine reconciliations of supplier accounts, and other control accounts under the guidance of the Senior Finance Assistant.

· Maintain accurate and organised filing (electronic and paper) for all processed work.

· Assist with audit and reporting tasks by retrieving and preparing documentation as required.

· Provide cover and support across other transactional processes during peak times or absences

Working Environment:  

The post holder should expect to:

· Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.
