We’re looking for a Philanthropy Manager to lead our high-net-worth giving strategy, with a special focus on Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). In this role, you’ll build meaningful connections with Wealth Advisors and DAF Managers whose clients have the potential to give £100k or more—all in support of our mission to end animal cruelty.
You’ll work closely with our Senior Manager of Major Gifts and Senior Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Operations to launch and grow our DAF strategy in the UK. Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ongoing strategies for Humane World for Animals’ growth in private philanthropy amongst wealth advisors, individuals and DAF managers in the UK, ensuring a strong ROI and including setting appropriate KPIs to monitor progress and measure success.
- Align the UK DAF strategy with the broader high net worth engagement strategy , collaborating with colleagues to maximise impact.
- Build Humane World for Animals’ UK DAF portfolio: identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships and partnerships with wealth advisors and DAF managers.
- Conduct outreach to wealth advisors outside the Humane World for Animals network who may not yet be familiar with our work and raising our profile with this specific audience, including via networking and events opportunities.
- Formulate and implement individual strategies for developing key DAF partnerships and initiatives around programmatic priorities, mobilising necessary internal and external resources to ensure all partnerships are effectively executed and partners’ needs are fully met. Includes proposal development work.
- Act as an internal expert on the DAF landscape within the UK, bringing this to bear when developing proposals and ideas with programmatic staff.
- Contribute to internal collaboration on breakthrough solutions that can deliver social impact at scale for complex philanthropic relationships which span a variety of mechanisms of giving.
- Partner across revenue streams (including corporate partnerships, foundations, and major gifts) to maximise and leverage fundraising opportunities.
- Lead on our high net worth income from individuals; identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships.
- Develop working relationships with program staff in order to identify funding opportunities and access program information that can be used to cultivate and steward wealth advisors.
- Stay abreast of key issues and trends in the international aid and wealth advisor community.
- Use our CRM (ROI Solutions) to track all DAF activity and revenue and activity projection in line with our data protection and privacy policies.
- Effectively represent Humane World for Animals to external audiences for both fundraising and profile elevation.
- Identify opportunities to represent Humane World for Animals on panels and events of interest to wealth advisors, including strategising around Humane World for Animals specific-events to engage wealth advisors.

The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is a membership organisation dedicated to promoting and enhancing the science and practice of infection prevention and control (IPC) within all health and care settings. With a commitment to working collaboratively to prevent infection, the IPS is a supportive network for IPC practitioners, and delivers education and training within the IPC field. With 2,400 members across the UK and internationally, the IPS plays an important role in supporting and developing IPC professionals and advancing knowledge and best practices to safeguard public health.
Last year the IPS launched its new strategy: Working together to prevent infection. Annual Conference which attracts over 700 attendees, 80 exhibitors/sponsors. The programme is developed and delivered by our Scientific Programme Committee, and the event is operationally managed and delivered by an external Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

Up 20 one/two day in person/hybrid events currently developed and delivered by our volunteers, our corporate partners or a PCO.

Online resources – developed and delivered by our Education and Professional Development Committee (EPDC), Branches and Special Interest Groups.
The Annual Conference will continue to be managed by a PCO and the organisation of our committees smaller annual conferences will be supported by our own team.
We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Education and Events Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of educational programs and events aimed at advancing the understanding and practice of infection prevention and control.
This will be an exciting and challenging role where Education and Events Executive will work with the Education and Events Manager to deliver up to 20 one-day events per year, either as in person, virtual or hybrid events.

Educational Programme Development:

Salary and hours

- The role holder has autonomy to create a working schedule that fits their needs. We do require at least 4 hours on a Monday as that is a core working day. The remainder of the working hours can be worked flexibly across the week in business hours.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Communications and Events Coordinator lead the development and delivery of Khulisa’s communications strategy and key campaigns, designed to engage our supporters, stakeholders, and the wider UK public.
About Khulisa:
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime.
Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we also work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. About the role:
This role will be a key part of helping to raise awareness of Khulisa’s mission and the issues we address, strengthening support for our programmes. The postholders will also take ownership of planning and delivering all Khulisa events, ensuring they are impactful and well-executed.
- Develop and deliver Khulisa’s Communications and Branding Strategy in line with the strategic plan.
- Lead public engagement campaigns to raise awareness, promote youth voice, and drive participation.
- Plan and manage events, including fundraising and challenge events, from concept to delivery.
- Create and manage digital content across social media, website, newsletters, and other channels.
- Recruit and supervise volunteers to support communications and event-related activities.

The post holder will be required to work from home permanently but be willing and able to easily travel to various locations across the London and the North West as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the role and to engage with stakeholders and colleagues.
What we're looking for:
1. Abilities/Experiences
- Experience in digital campaigning and digital content creation.
- Experience of planning and delivering events, including fundraising events, liaising with partners, suppliers and colleagues.
- Excellent written, copywriting and editing skills and proven ability to communicate campaigning messages in a compelling, succinct and engaging way.
- Experience creating digital content for a variety of audiences, including experience of using a range of digital software and tools, and knowledge of message testing and optimisation.
- Experience in designing popular, results-oriented and successful campaigns.
- Ability to use design software (such as InDesign, Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Experience working within a close-knit team in a busy and fast paced working environment.
- Demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise own workload with minimum supervision.

Your main goal is to make sure our programme is fully integrated and highly effective in schools and with partners across Hertfordshire and West London. Although the role is remote it involves a significant amount of travel around Hertfordshire and West London so the successful candidate will need to be based within reasonable driving distance of these areas.
Key responsibilities:

Provide support, development, training, management and motivation to MCR staff in schools and other partner organisations

Support school integration of the programme and a consistently high quality standard of programme delivery

Develop and support partnerships with the Local Councils, further and higher education institutions, local business and all MCR stakeholders

Provide analysis of programme performance, impact and development
About you

Experience of developing and effectively managing teams and programmes

Self-motivated and skilled at motivating others

Experience of or strong interest in working or volunteering in the third sector

Experience of working within or in collaboration with secondary schools
