The Role
We are looking for a Supporter Acquisition Fundraiser to help us reach every deaf child by raising vital funds through recruiting new regular giving supporters. 

What you'll do
 

• Manage relationships with direct dialogue recruitment agencies that recruit thousands or tens of thousands of new supporters
• Actively manage campaigns to ensure continuous improvement
• Report on campaign progress to stakeholders
• Ensure high standards of compliance, quality and supporter experience in our recruitment activity

• Strong marketing and/or fundraising experience
• Experience managing supplier relationships
• A great understanding of how charity fundraising works and the role of direct dialogue recruitment
• Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles.

We’re very excited to be looking for a part-time Community Fundraiser to join the amazing team at Sense on an 8-month FTC and play a vital role in growing community fundraising income and supporter engagement.

You will help establish community fundraising as a sustainable and reliable income stream, while building strong, long-term relationships with supporters across the region. What you’ll be doing

You will produce excellent and compelling funding applications, based on thorough research. You will liaise with colleagues to help construct applications. Once funding is secured, you will steward your portfolio of funders to ensure that they are well informed about our work and inclined to provide us with further support. You will ensure that records are accurately maintained on our CRM system.

You will bring to the role:

• Proven experience in Trusts Fundraising
• Demonstrable evidence of first-class writing skills, with the capacity to translate complex subject matter into a compelling, and easily understood case for support
• Good research skills, with the ability to match the organisation’s projects and strands of work with funders’ priorities
• Good organisational skills with the capacity to meet multiple deadlines
• Good admin skills, with a good eye for detail, and a commitment to 100% accuracy

The purpose of the role is to utilise effective and efficient administrative and fundraising skills to assist in delivering both financial and non-financial targets which will provide a gateway to all fundraising activity across Maggie’s. 

As Centre Fundraiser, you will assist the Centre Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy to deliver income targets through proactive donor recruitment and excellent donor care.  

This includes supporting and retaining existing supporters and researching new key relationships with individuals as well as partnerships with local businesses, groups and associations.  

You will represent the work, vision and purpose of Maggie’s whilst supporting the delivery of local and central fundraising initiatives and campaigns. This includes presentations, face to face, telephone and written communications.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as frequent local travel.
