As Helpline Care Navigator (HCN), you will act as the first point of contact for individuals, families and health professionals across the North and North East region.
You will deliver compassionate, person-centred support and clear, practical information via telephone and email, ensuring people affected by PSP & CBD feel heard, informed and supported at every stage of their journey. Alongside direct support, you will actively engage with health and social care professionals, neurology clinics and wider partners to strengthen local awareness of PSP & CBD and enhance referral pathways across the region.
This is a key role in maintaining continuity, quality and momentum within our Helpline service during a period of maternity leave and you will be reporting to the Helpline and Support Services Manager.
Hours of Work & Annual Leave
- 35 hours per week - this may include working some unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
- 28 days plus bank holidays. Pro-rated for part time role.
The main office is in Milton Keynes, and we have a hybrid working policy with most staff spending one day a week in the office and the remainder working from home. There is flexibility in the arrangements that need to be agreed upon with the line manager.
Key Responsibilities
- To be ‘first point of call’ for people with PSP & CBD and their families living in North and Northeast region including, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear & Northumberland. Providing people with support and information over the phone and via email.
- To raise awareness of PSP & CBD across all health and social care disciplines in the region by engaging with HSCP’s and neurology clinics.
- To provide accurate information in all aspects of PSP & CBD in response to enquiries and signpost onto other organisations where appropriate.
- Ensure a maximum response to all helpline calls, emails and enquires.
- To keep clear and accurate records and statistics of enquires received and actions taken.
- To carry out a maximum number of proactive calls to people affected by PSP & CBD within the region as directed by the Helpline Manager.
- Develop and maintain the existing database of key health and social care professionals and regional services.
- Attend outreach events to build the profile of PSPA services amongst health and social care professionals.
- Work with the Director of Policy and Influencing to identify ways in which services and care can be improved for families affected by PSP & CBD in the region.
- To signpost to PSPA Support Groups and services.
- Liaise with external services to signpost to local support.
- Take an active part in the delivery and planning of information and support events, which may include the possibility of overnight stays and weekends.
- Liaise with the fundraising team to signpost to fundraising activities.
- Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator to maintain and build volunteering in the region.
- To attend and contribute constructively to team and other meetings as required.
- To ensure the implementation of policies, procedures and quality standards as defined by PSPA.
- Contribute to the development of literature and articles for PSPA Matters.
- To undertake any other tasks, by agreement as required, in support of the work of PSPA.
The duties may be changed and/or varied to meet changing circumstances at the discretion of the CEO and Board of Trustees.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in delivering helpline and/or information and support services
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to listen actively understanding different points of view
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Willingness to undertake training and continuing personal development
- Experience of and sensitivity to communicating with audiences from a range of backgrounds
- Strong IT skills, with experience in MS Office products and customer relationship management software
- Flexible and reliable attitude and the ability to self-organise and to work without direct supervision
- Good communication skills, both oral and written and excellent telephone manner
- Ability to manage difficulty questions, emotions and situations in a calm and confident way.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of PSP & CBD or other neurodegenerative diseases and/or experience of working in the NHS
- An understanding of Safeguarding and an ability to follow relevant policies and procedures
- Knowledge of healthcare or social care systems.

Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service (LSLCS) exists to provide compassionate, person-centred, trauma-informed crisis support to people across Leeds and West Yorkshire. Founded in 1999 by individuals with lived experience of mental health crisis, the organisation has grown to deliver a range of services for adults, children and young people while remaining rooted in survivor leadership and empowerment. The CEO holds overarching responsibility for the current service provisions, with the support of operational directors and service managers. About Resonance
Resonance is a 24/7, artist-led community radio station based in Southwark, London, broadcasting on FM, DAB and online to audiences in the UK and internationally. The station supports experimental arts & culture and under-represented voices through community radio broadcasting, working with hundreds of volunteer broadcasters, artists and producers each year alongside a small staff team. Resonance is delivered by London Musicians’ Collective Limited, a registered charity (290236), and is sustained through listener support and grant funding.
Purpose of the Role
This role exists to increase Resonance’s charitable income, securing the funding that enables its artistic and community work to happen. It sits alongside, rather than within, artistic and operational delivery, with a specific focus on charitable fundraising and supporter engagement.
The Development Coordinator works across the organisation to draw out the charitable purpose, public benefit and impact of Resonance’s activity, and to communicate this clearly to funders and donors through funding applications, donor communications and impact-led narratives.

Role Context
This role is supported by grant funding from the Community Radio Fund, administered by Ofcom on behalf of the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). The Development Coordinator focuses on resourcing Resonance’s charitable mission by translating artistic and community activity into clear, funder- and donor-facing narratives, working at the intersection of information, relationships and deadlines and exercising good judgement when priorities compete or information is incomplete.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Supporter Selections & Automation Executive to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a home-based role on a permanent contract.
As Supporter Selections & Automations Executive you will work alongside two Supporter Selections Analysts to deliver targeted automations for our supporter communications. You’ll work closely with our Supporter Selections Manager and Journeys Manager to plan, build and maintain supporter journeys that provide an excellent supporter experience to retain and grow our audiences.
You’ll play a crucial role in deepening stakeholders’ understanding of our supporters. You’ll draw on campaign results, data models and other sources of insight to enable colleagues to test hypotheses and innovate in order to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and sustainable growth across Alzheimer’s Society’s audiences.
In this role, you’ll be an active and valued member of the Omnichannel Team, supporting with the delivery of scheduled and ad hoc selections to enable delivery of the communications plan, whilst being part of the drive to put the supporter at the heart of everything we do.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience of using good task management and prioritisation skills to deliver projects or pieces of work within a set deadline. You’ll have an understanding of customer journeys and automation, with experience of planning and building customer stewardship journeys and automations using Apteco Faststats, Apteco PeopleStage or similar systems.
Crucially, you’ll be skilled in using Excel to manipulate, manage and analyse data, in addition to experience using large contact management databases and database selections. Project Trust is an education charity with over fifty years’ experience in international volunteering for young people. We organise challenging, long-term placements for 17–25-year-olds with partnership organisations in Africa, Asia and the Americas.
We annually select up to 200 young people from across the UK for immersive and focused teaching and youth development projects around the world. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Digital Marketing Assistant to join our digital engagement team. This new role could be ideal for someone starting their career in digital communications, content creation or marketing.
As our Digital Marketing Assistant, you will support the day-to-day delivery of our digital content across social media, our website and other online platforms, telling the stories of our Volunteers and the impact of our work at Project Trust. You will support our digital marketing activity and fundraising campaigns, contributing to our digital engagement strategy. Forest Peoples Programme is seeking two Programme Assistants to provide vital administrative, logistical, and project support, helping Indigenous Peoples and forest communities secure their rights and protect their forests.
About Forest Peoples Programme
Forest Peoples Programme (FPP) is an international NGO that has been working with Indigenous Peoples and forest peoples for 35 years since it was established in 1990. As of 2026, we work in 18 countries across South and Central America, Africa and Southeast Asia, with over 50 partners based in the tropical forest belt. We work directly and in solidarity with communities and peoples, supporting them to secure their rights to their traditional lands, territories, and resources, protect their forests and ways of life, and choose their own futures.
Working at local, national and global levels FPP supports Indigenous Peoples and forest peoples to effect change from the bottom up – grounded in struggles to advance the enjoyment of their rights and seek remedy for violations. At the same time, we work to ensure the voices and priorities of Indigenous Peoples and forest peoples shape national and international law and policy – e.g. relating to business and human rights, climate, and biodiversity – so that resulting regulatory and market reform better serves and respects their rights.
Role summary
The work of Forest Peoples Programme (FPP) is organised via three core programmes, each of which is led by a Programme Coordinator. The Programme Assistant position provides a broad support function for the Programme Coordinator, principally in relation to administrative and logistical support, as well as supporting programme and project monitoring and management (including some financial management). Programme Assistants need to be able to work at pace on multiple different tasks concurrently; to be proactive and take initiative under broad direction; to be able to work directly and respectfully with Indigenous Peoples and forest peoples and their organisations; and to be able to write well, taking notes and distilling information in English (and ideally also in a second relevant language).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to development and tracking of the Programme’s work, including key dates, deliverables and actions, and help maintain internal knowledge management systems and channels.
- Support Programme and sub-programme team meetings, including organising meetings, drafting agendas, taking minutes, and monitoring and following up on action points.
- Support the Programme Coordinator and other programme colleagues in communications with grant partners, donors and other parties, including liaising with partners and programme colleagues to prepare Partnership Agreements, Letters of Agreement, and consultancy contracts (from templates).
- Work with the Programme Coordinator and the finance team to track expenditure across relevant programme budgets, monitor progress (including spend) on key projects within the programmes, track key donor reporting deadlines and help compile and submit narrative and financial reports to donors.
- Support fundraising, including compiling and checking grant applications.
- Support finalisation of publications and communications.
- Assist in planning, preparation and organising of events, workshops or meetings, working closely with FPP’s admin/logistics and finance teams, and supporting the attendance and participation of partners and staff at other national and international events. Accompanying programme colleagues on international trips and meetings to lend a hand where needed.
- Provide (where able) or facilitate access to, remote (and potentially also in-country, as needed) capacity building support to local partners in relation to project management, finance, planning, reporting, computer/IT skills, communication and procedures, monitoring and evaluation etc.
- Act as a port of call for programme staff seeking programme or project information or information about wider organisational policies and processes.
- Support the tracking of impacts against an established Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework, working with programme colleagues to assemble and systematise information.
- Participate in FPP meetings and staff sharings (online or in person) and attend FPP’s Annual General Meeting.
