We're looking for a Community Fundraising Officer, based at our rehoming centre in Harefield, West London, to promote the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups and deliver excellent customer care for all Dogs Trust supporters, but particularly potential and existing legacy pledgers.
What does this role do?
As Community Fundraising Officer, you’ll:
- link the rehoming centre with supporters in the local community, developing relationships with local individuals, businesses, community groups and clubs,
- feed into various income streams through these relationships, identifying prospects in the community and develop a pipeline of future donors and legacy donations,
- steward existing and potential donors, always providing them with a seamless supporter journey, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the work we do and feel motivated to support our meaningful local work,
- organise supporter events, talks and tours both onsite and externally.
- completing all administration related to donations to the centre, including thanking and banking.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some community fundraising experience, with the ability to build connections and connect with the local community. To do this, you’ll need excellent communication skills and be able to confidently approach and interact with supporters. While you’ll be a key part of the rehoming centre team, you’ll be regularly be working independently, so strong organisational skills and a proactive approach is essential.
This role is based at the rehoming centre, and the post holder will spend lots of time in the community meeting supporters. The working pattern is typically Monday and Tuesdays, but flexibility is required and is likely to involve some evening and weekend work, depending on the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities
As Fundraising Manager, you will:

Develop and implement a 3–5 year fundraising strategy aligned with ISH's strategic objectives.

Context and Background
The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children by fighting for every childhood. To carry out its charitable work the NSPCC relies on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of it’s income. Within fundraising our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC. The Associate Head of Mass Participation Fundraising is a member of the Supporter Led Fundraising Leadership Team and the Philanthropy & Partnerships Department. The role contributes to the overall leadership and management of the team and department as well as implementing the fundraising plans and strategies for the Engagement & Fundraising Directorate.
Mass Participation Fundraising is an important component in the NSPCC’s Engagement and Fundraising strategy. The post holder will lead and develop a first-class team to develop our portfolio, engaging and deepening the relationship with participants into long-term supporters and optimising the fundraising income they generate.
A key element of the role is to provide leadership across a diverse team, which includes Third Party Events, DIY fundraising and Schools Fundraising. Job purpose
To deliver effective fundraising activities from a mass participation portfolio of diverse products, events and opportunities. To manage relationships with suppliers and agencies, while providing leadership and management to fundraising staff within the Mass Participation Fundraising team. Continually refreshing, improving and growing the portfolio, facilitating increased income generation across all teams.
• To have accountability and responsibility for the budgetary performance of three core Mass Participation income generation streams (Third Party Events, DIY Fundraising, and Schools Fundraising)

Role Purpose
The Relationship Fundraiser will support the Philanthropy Manager to secure and increase income through the charity’s Philanthropy strategy.
The post holder will support with developing a robust pipeline of prospects and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing major donor relationships. You will be creative and analytical and provide first class research, administration, relationship management and database skills and provide excellent donor stewardship.
Main Responsibilities
· Work with the Philanthropy Manager to prepare and implement creative donor cultivation and stewardship plans to secure new donors and develop current relationships, including:
- Creative cases for support with associated budgets.
- Adapting information for specific donors using different approaches for different audiences.
- Developing engaging thank you letters and reports.
· Manage an agreed portfolio of mid-value major donor relationships and prospects, with the support of the Philanthropy Manager and deliver excellent stewardship and tailored fundraising proposals.
· Provide timely and high-quality updates to donors on the charity’s activities and impact and value of gifts. Work with the Communications team to ensure that major donor supporters receive engaging and relevant marketing materials.
· Research and identify potential donors to build a strong list of prospects, matching against key fundraising priorities, to maximise opportunities and build a healthy prospect pipeline.
· Develop processes and systems to ensure the effective management of all relevant information, including keeping all records up to date on the CRM database (Sales Force) including all actions, communications and proposals in-line with the monthly KPIs and analyse to identify further opportunities.
· Support your line manager with income tracking and processing, contributing to financial targets, re-forecasts, budgeting and reporting.
· Be an active and supportive member of the Fundraising team and wider CBUK team, contributing to the Fundraising team’s development and targets as well as working collaboratively with colleagues.
· Ensure all associated activities are compliant with charity law, regulatory requirements and best practice, including those of the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
· Develop strong working knowledge of these areas of income generation and the wider fundraising and charity sector.
· Identify and complete relevant training, regularly reviewing relevant press and publications and keeping up to date with industry news.

The Head of Fundraising and Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving Bowel Research UK's fundraising strategies and audience engagement initiatives.
This position is responsible for embedding and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing the charity’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.

Reporting in to the National Events Manager, the Events Fundraising Officer will recruit and engage supporters, building trust and collaboration to strengthen Christian Aid’s event and DIY fundraising activity and maximise participation in challenge events. Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster.
We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways.
Purpose of the role
Race Against Dementia is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Senior Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will play a key role in managing and developing partnerships that generate income and increase global awareness of our work.
Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will support the stewardship and growth of corporate and strategic partnerships, with an additional focus on international fundraising and partnership development. You will help identify and cultivate new opportunities across priority markets, including the USA, Switzerland and other emerging regions.
Formula 1 remains our flagship global partner, and this role will support the activation and maximisation of this and other high-profile relationships to drive fundraising and brand visibility.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver partnerships that contribute to Race Against Dementia’s fundraising targets and strategic objectives.
- Support the management of key partnership accounts, acting as a point of contact for partners and maintaining strong, positive relationships.
- Develop tailored partnership plans, ensuring alignment with partner objectives and demonstrating the impact of their support.
- Contribute to new business development by researching, identifying, and engaging prospective partners, including internationally.
- Support international fundraising activity by helping develop opportunities in priority global markets and assisting with partner engagement across different regions.
- Prepare high-quality partnership proposals and presentations, clearly communicating value, impact, and alignment with funder priorities.
- Working closely with the Research team, lead the development and delivery of a strategic partner communications programme, strengthening partner engagement through regular research updates, impact reporting, and organisational news.
- Take ownership of the Partnerships team's use of the CRM system - Salesforce, maintaining accurate records, developing tracking and reporting processes, and supporting prospect research, pipeline management, and new business development activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the delivery of partnership campaigns, activations, and marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and report on partnership performance, tracking income, engagement, and impact against agreed targets.
- Stay informed on trends in corporate partnerships, CSR, and international fundraising to support innovation and growth.
- Support the activation of Race Against Dementia’s partnership with Formula 1 and associated global opportunities to maximise fundraising and awareness.
Supporting Events
Provide support for key fundraising events, including partner engagement, stewardship and delivery support where required.
Assist with the coordination of international events and activations linked to partnership opportunities.
Other Duties
Carry out any other duties as required by the Strategic Partnerships Lead, CEO and Board of Trustees including:
- To attend, where appropriate, local, regional, national and international meetings/events.
- To maintain a good knowledge of international, national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia.
- To administer your own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system.
- To attend relevant CPD training events as required.
- To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Health and Safety work related matters.
- To work within the guidelines of Race Against Dementia’s policies and procedures.
